Welcome to another episode of Empower Hour with KB. My name is Kristen Brown, and I am an author, a motivational speaker, intuitive healer, and mentor who specializes in helping individuals reclaim their true worth and embrace their personal power, all to master their energetic vibration and manifest the life and relationships of their dreams. So welcome aboard. Kick off your shoes, put up your weary feet if you can, if it's safe to do so, and make yourself at home for the next 75 minutes or so as we unpack another empowering topic. And this is one that I absolutely love and I get really excited coming up and talking to you about this. In fact, I almost started the podcast with yay! I know that's ridiculous. I'm a little ridiculous sometimes. Because when I listen to words around this topic, it inspires me and makes me so happy. Also, when I speak words around this topic, because I am reminding myself about the nature of reality. And it's something that can be very confusing to a lot of people. We might have no experience in this department, so this topic could be brand new to you. And if it is, I'm going to invite you to open your heart and open your mind to take in new information. Because when your heart and mind are open, you're going to feel a resonance, you're going to feel a truth, a capital T truth, universal truth that's going to resonate with you. And that's how we start to change our life. Because there are just these most amazing and brilliant concepts and truths of the universe, of the world. And when we start applying them to our lives, things start to change in the most magnificent and beautiful way. This talk was inspired by a speaker that I was listening to on the treadmill. And that is Neville Goddard. And Neville Goddard, get this. Neville Goddard was born in 1905, and he passed away in 1972. And he was a Barbadian-born writer, speaker, and mystic, best known for his core teachings that center on the idea that our imagination creates reality. He believed that by using your imagination and consciously directing your thoughts and feelings, you can shape your external world and manifest your desires. This involves assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled, which means mentally residing in the state where your desire is already a reality. As you can see, Neville was way before his time, 1905. This gentleman was born in Barbados, 1905. And he went on to give lectures after lectures after lectures. And this is something that I invite you to go listen to. Go down the YouTube rabbit hole. And if it doesn't sound like it's old, it could be AI. So you're going to tell by his cadence, how he speaks. There was a way people spoke back then that's going to signify whether it's truly Neville Goddard. And there's going to be a humanity to his voice. And I always say this to anybody who's searching YouTube for certain speakers because my gosh, there's a lot of fakes out there. And what that is, is somebody coming up with some verbiage on AI and attaching a name and a voice to it. But you can tell because you can just feel that it doesn't have that humanity to it. So be sure always, always use your due diligence when searching for and listening to people out in the world, following people, because you want to be sure that you're getting the real deal. Some of my friends have already listened to Neville Goddard. In fact, one of my friends had sent me a book from Neville Goddard that I haven't had a chance to read yet. He's somebody that only came into my awareness within the past three years. But to be honest, I hadn't really looked at his work, listened to his work because of so many other things and people that I follow. But my husband the other day, I said, What are you listening to? And he said, I'm listening to a lecture from Neville Goddard. And I thought, you know what? I'm going to start listening to him. So I popped it in today, listened to him on the treadmill. I was sunk. I was sunk. I was in. I was up to my ears. I was loving this. I was sending myself texts of his quotes. And it's all stuff that I know already. It's stuff that I teach, it's stuff that I talk about. But I love to hear it. You cannot tell me things regarding manifestation, law of attraction in the true sense of the word, enough. I always tell people if I'm in a funk, don't try to come up with a solution for me. Talk to me, law of attraction. Talk to me, manifestation. Talk to me, abundance of the universe. When you talk to me about these topics, it ignites me. I return back to that space and I'm up and running. It is like I move completely out of the space I was in because somebody spoke universal truth to me. And universal truth resonates. And that's one of the core lessons that I learned is that a lot of times for people, let me put it this way, a lot of times for people, they're like, I'm trying, I'm trying to manifest. It's not happening, it's not happening. One of the first things I will ask them is how, what percent of you truly believes in the abundance of the universe? What percent of you truly believes in energy? What percent of you really like, is there even a point, oh oh, one part of you that doubts it? Because it is that doubt that is keeping us from locking in. It's that doubt that is sending rocket ships, quantum rockets up into the universe that says, I will have this, please. And if there is that place, then we can't manifest. So one of the core beliefs is truly understanding how energy works. You can call it God, you can call it universe, you can call it source, you can call it nature, I don't care what you call it. But having that belief that we can have, that it is our birthright to have. That's one of the main things that needs to click into place here. So anytime that I realize something is not happening for me, I will check in with my belief system. Do I doubt that I can have this? Every time, 100%, there's a doubt. There's a doubt. Even if it's like I said, point oh oh one, there's that little I kind of don't really believe this. I don't really believe that that's possible. Then I know that I can't make that thing manifest in my life because we are the creators, you guys. We are the creators. We've been called co-creators with the universe because we can decide what it is that we want. And then once we we lock into that, then the universe delivers. So I always say that the universe has everything waiting in escrow for us. All those dreams, all those desires. Everything that we want and desire is available to us. It is in escrow. The second we have the thought, boom, the universe picks it up. That's not a question. That's never a question. It's never a question as if I can have it. It's do I want it? Yes, I want it. Universe locks in. However, we form or have what I call, my words, I coined this term, a lead umbrella over our head. So universe is trying to drop in the thing, but the lead umbrella is our lack of belief that we can actually have the thing. Somehow, someway, we don't really believe it. And this is why I always say that the manifestation, the law of attraction journey is a healing journey. It is those beliefs that came from, you name it, trauma, drama experiences. Someone said something once. Um, you were believing in what you were seeing. You know, the other day, this is a prime example. My daughter came home. She works at a thrift store, and it's big, and she loves this place and she loves that kind of clothes and what have you. And she came home and she was, I'm gonna say, quote unquote, complaining to my son and I. She was like, you know, these pair of jeans that I want, and they're just not in my size. But this girl who has this size that she works with picked up three pairs of jeans and just makes me feel like I need to be a different size, and this and this. And I'm listening, and my son's kind of got his head down. Like, you have to know my son. He's got this look on his face, like it's just jeans, you know, he's a he's a man. But I'm listening because I understand what she's saying. At one point in the talk, I said to her, I said, I have I has two words for you. She goes, but wait, I need to finish. Is it okay? Because she needed to get this out. That's okay. She's getting it out and she's getting her energy out, and she's complaining, and that's okay, because I remember what I've talked about, you guys. Pity parties are okay. If you need to get that energy moving, move it. Remove it. Have yourself a pity party, kick and scream for five minutes. Don't make it longer than that, because then the solution is needs to be the next step. Complaining just to complain doesn't serve anyone. It just doesn't. So I'm letting her do her thing. And then when she was done, I said, Are you done? She said, Yeah. I said, Two words for you. She goes, What? Manifest it. Manifest it. And she stopped and looked at me. Because she has been listening to the things that I talk about, not here on Doom Vibe. And she's starting to put things into place. She's like, oh my gosh, Mom, you know what I manifested? And she'll come back to me with some amazing story. I'm like, yeah, so I just looked right manifest it. And she didn't say anything. She didn't fight me, she didn't argue, she just looked at me. I said, Next time you pick, you see in those racks a pair of those, that particular brand of jeans that is not your style, you say, Ah, this is a breadcrumb. The jeans are available. Now, as you're putting them back on the rack, you say, I will have size blank. And you walk away and you drop it. And with that, she didn't say anything else, and I walked up the stairs to go back to work. That was it. But I knew it sunk into her because she understands she's been working with this for quite some time now because she has me as a mom. You know, and I will tell you, it's not she, if you guys think that, oh, my kids have it locked and loaded because I know things, let me tell you, no, because they fought me on a lot of things. I still fight me on a lot of things. But the point is that it's the belief first. You gotta believe that it's possible. And I believe things are possible by understanding the abundance of the universe. And I did that by looking back through things that did happen. Things that seemingly came out of nowhere. And there they were. Okay, for example, at one point on my journey, I call my life my journey. Probably when I was first starting to do hair, I was probably about 21 years old when I entered a salon. I know I turned 21 within beauty school. So I was about 21 years old when I first started doing hair. And I remember at one point thinking, I'd really like to own a salon. And it was a true desire. There wasn't any ego involved. There wasn't, I want to be the big, the big guy, the big dog. There was nothing. It was just I would, I would like to own a salon, I'd like to have that experience. And I meant it. And then a little while later, I'd probably think it again. I can tell you when. It's just sporadically, it'd be nice to own a salon. And then one day, out of the blue, as I'd been in the salon, I don't even know how long you guys, I couldn't tell you, but it was years, a couple of years, maybe seven or eight. I don't know. At some point, the original owner sold to a second owner. She didn't have it very long. She sold it to a third owner. This lady was not poised to be a salon owner. She was nice, but she was not poised. And we were all scratching our heads and looking at each other like, what are we gonna do with this lady? She was never there. Things were not functioning the way they should function. She was trying to change things. It was, she wasn't, she was a, I can't remember what her business was, but she was not a in the cosmetology world at all. At all. So she knew nothing about this business. And everyone's like, someone just needs to buy the salon. Someone just needs to buy the salon. Someone looked at me and goes, Kristen, you need to buy the salon. And I thought, oh, okay. I'm like, I don't know how much the salon costs, but I'll I'll see. So I walked up to her. She came in one day, was rare. Up to her one day, and this is my words, you guys bless my heart. I don't even know how old I was, 29 or 30. Pretty young. And I said, hi, don't even remember her name. I decided that I'm gonna buy the salon from you. That's literally what I said to her. Nice, kind. And her response was okay. That was it. I was a salon owner. She told the price. I bought the salon, and there we go. To be honest with you guys, I didn't even know where I got the money from. And I kicked booty. I was an amazing salon owner. Everybody loved it. The clients loved it. It was clean. We always had the products everybody needed. All kinds of things. It was great. I remodeled. I remodeled some things as well. I just merely had that thought. I never thought it was impossible. I never thought I didn't have what it took. I just had the thought, believed it, went about my life. And of course, sometimes things take a little longer to manifest. Here's why. I wasn't ready at that time, nor did I think I was ready. My thought was someday I would like to own a salon. So I needed that, I'm going to just say eight years. I don't know how long. Those eight years to grow up, to mature, to be able to manage people, to watch how other people manage the salon, to build my clientele, to learn about the book Kingby, I needed all of that in place so that I could hold the salon. But I never thought I couldn't own one. Now, looking into your life, are there times in your life where you're like, I really want an amazing relationship, or I want to make 300K a year, or I want to move to this place, or want, and then there's part of you that's like, yeah, it just seems impossible. Be honest, I want to see some claps come up on the stage if you guys have thought that. Some dream, you don't have to tell me what it is, but some dream where you thought, oh, that's impossible. I have no idea how that can happen. I want to see some claps. If any, yeah, okay, here we go. All right, you guys, awesome. Thank you for being honest. I love when you guys are honest. Yes. Yes, Lisa gets it, Cher gets it, Christy, Paula, Dingo, Robin, Summer, Michelle VA. Awesome guys. Thank you. There is that time when we're like, oh, I want this thing. Cindy said yes. By the way, Cindy, thank you. She said, and Steven said yes. Um, these are my Android device users that don't have the emoji function yet. Hopefully we're gonna get that. And I appreciate Cindy you saying great topic. It's one, it's a topic that I absolutely love. There are those moments where we think, I want this thing, but it's too big, it's too grand, I'm not worthy of it, or we have some limiting belief like, how would someone like me with no uh with only a high school education make 300k a year? Or there's no good men or women left. I'm I'm just I see what everybody else is dealing with in their marriages, and it's not possible for me, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Y'all, those are beliefs. That's all they are. And by the way, they're false beliefs. Start poisoning yourself to look, to say, universe, show me amazing single men and women. Show me that person that didn't have anything that's now making 300k a year. Show me this, show me that, show me whatever. Start to get evidence that it's even possible. Once you get the evidence, you can start to believe. Remember, KB talks a lot about not believing lies. We gotta get out of this thing that we believe lies. Because it is a lie that you can't make $300,000 or have the amazing relationship or move to the location of your dreams. It's a lie. You're believing where you're at right now, and your brain cannot make the jump to the wish fulfilled, as Neville Goddard calls it. I don't call it that. He calls it desire fulfilled and wish fulfilled. I love it. I'm probably gonna start adopting that. Your brain can't, it's uh it's inconceivable to you about how this is gonna happen. Beloveds, it doesn't need to be conceivable. We want the desire, it is already given. This is the book by Abraham Hicks. Ask, ask, and it is given. That's a book by Abraham Hicks. And there's like four steps of manifestation, I don't remember, but you ask, step one, it's given. It's already there. It's not even a question. But then it's us working on the mental, the mental, and starting to speak this into reality. I sent myself a text when I was listening to Neville, and this was one of the texts that I sent myself that he said, I am chosen, I am guided, I am the source of all that I behold. You can also say attract experience. Attract or experience. Behold, that's kind of an older word, right? I am chosen, I am guided, I am the source of all that I behold. Here's another way to speak it into reality. Ready? I remember when I struggled with that. How different life is now. I remember when I when I struggled with that. How different life is now. It is about speaking that into your existence now, before you see the desire made manifest. I am blank. I am wealthy beyond measure. I am healthy. I have the most amazing relationship. I live in the most gorgeous location. Every day I look out my window and I think, oh my God, how blessed I am. This is why in his bio it said his core teachings center on the idea that imagination creates reality. He believed that by using your imagination and consciously directing your thoughts and feelings, you can shape your external world and manifest your desires. There was another quote that he talked about. If I can find it real quickly, I don't want to take too much time looking for it. But he was talking, oh, here's another one. Nothing comes from without. Who says that all the time? Me. See how excited I get about this stuff? Because a lot of these things I did not have teachers for. It was just my experience when I started to change things. And at one point I said, oh my gosh, my inner world is affecting my entire outer experience. Who I am, what I believe. And then looking back, Neville Goddard, born in 1905, passed in 1972, saying the same thing. The cue has filled up, so I am going to start bringing people in. We're gonna have Robin and then Molly. And I can't remember the other one. If you were a purposeful joint and you are all meant to be here, the other one oh, it's Cher. Okay, hi Cher. Oh, and Brent. Okay, if you guys are all purposeful, stay in the queue. If not, go ahead and swipe out and swipe back in. You just press the wrong button, no big deal. Q is going to bring you up to the stage after Ms. Robin. So welcome, Robin. Thanks for coming. I am quite purposeful.
Robin:Um, hello. I I'm gonna throw this at you and you can um, because I always value your opinion. So what I I am I am manifesting a few things, but I like to say I'm manifesting things in baby steps. Okay. I just need a a step up to where I can manifest what I really truly want beyond. So right now I am manifesting this job that I just had an interview for, and they've already set up the second interview. So I am manifesting this job because I can see myself doing it, I can see myself loving it, enjoying it, all of the above. And secondly, I am manifesting this house, this um a part uh house that we're going to rent. We were disappointed because I don't know if they do this in Arizona, but they're like, oh, you need three times the rent income, you need this, you need that. Now, when I was working full-time, no problem. Okay, now I have the disability income. My daughter works full-time, and my niece doesn't have a job yet because she just graduated, but she's looking. And we come just short of it. And I'm like, you know what? We we we still really like this house. We still want to rent this house. I'm still manifesting it. So I told the girls, picture yourself, picture yourself living there, picture yourself with all your stuff set up, picture yourself us doing things in the house, having family game night, doing what we're doing. And they're like, you know what, we are doing that because you said that before. So I truly am believing that I all I need, all I need is a note um or a letter that says, we've hired Robin. This is her salary, boom, boom, done. And then we can put our application in. So that's my little baby steps. My baby steps are are that. Now, do I want to rent a house for the rest of my life? No. I want to have my own place, but I have not found a place that I love and enjoy here in Florida, especially not where I am, because it's just it's not. Um, I feel like if I lived closer to the coast or even if I moved back to New England, I just feel like I would be happier. I feel like I'm going to eventually manifest that, but I feel like I need to get on stable ground before I do it. There's nothing wrong with baby steps. Okay. Okay.
Kristen:It's whatever you can wrap your head around first.
Robin:Okay.
Kristen:Okay. So if yeah, and I and I feel baby steps are purposeful. Like you hear me talk about this all the time, Robin. I had to wrap myself, my head around the fact that I could speak. That was my, I had to take that step. It wasn't like I could jump to everything. I had to go that step first. So, but one thing I want to add, I want to add is that the universe is always conspiring for our highest good. And sometimes we can we can take our mind and it say, it has to be this. It has to be him, her, this job, this house, this car. What if there's something better? So the key, believe the key, believe it or not, is in the letting go. It's in surrender. And that happens when we say this or even better.
Robin:I keep forgetting that. Yeah, that's the part. This or even better. All right. I keep forgetting that. I'm gonna write that right down and stick it on the mirror.
Kristen:And meanwhile, keeping your remember, the feelings as if you're already in this place, what it's gonna feel like to be in this place, what it's gonna feel like to have your ideal job. Because there could be even better in both departments. But if this is meant to be, if this is it, it will work out. But we can't we can't move chess pieces. I always tell people the how, it just messes us up. Yeah. So we have to that it's the let go, it's the hardest thing that we can do is letting go.
Robin:But is it taking it's not taking the easy way out doing the baby steps, but really working toward that letting go piece?
Kristen:I think the taking the baby steps, like you're saying, is that you want you, if you go within, Robin, and come back up. Why don't you just type come down and come back up? If you go within, this is probably truly what you want next. Does that make sense? This is probably what you want next because you said I would like to get on stable. I feel like I need some stable ground first. So you can come back up to reply to that if you want, Robin. You don't have to. So if we go within, there's something inside that we know that we're calling it a baby step, but really this is just what I want right now. So look at that. Because if you wanted, truly wanted to move to the coast right now, lock, stock, and barrel, you're in 100%, you would be aiming towards that because that's be what you would want. So I don't think you're copping out. I think you're meeting you where you're at, and you're doing the next best step for you. Does that make sense? Okay. Send up some cops if that makes sense. Oh, you rejoined. Sorry. People are popping in and out of the queue. I didn't see you there. You must have there was two when you got off, and there was still twos, but I didn't realize you came back in. Someone must have jumped out.
Robin:It it does. It makes it makes a lot of sense because I'm not um completely 100% in because I don't have the means to pick up and move to the coast and buy a house and and find a job there, nor do I have the energy for that. There you go. So that's why my energy focus is like a little baby step. Okay, let me let me take a few steps upward, settle. And then what do I really want? You know, because I've got a lot coming up. I got a lot coming on. I know I do. I have great things coming. So I'm just I'm going to let go, yes, because I want to manifest bigger and better. But it is very hard, and everyone else is going to agree with this. It's hard. It's hard giving it to a God-service universe. It is, especially when you're kind of someone that always is in control, makes the decisions, gets stuff done. It doesn't happen unless you do it yourself, that sort of mentality.
Kristen:Well, effort's always required. Effort's always required, but it's trusting that you're held during the process. We can't just sit there and think everything is going to fall into place. Right, right.
Robin:Yeah. No, I've got, you know, I've got to do the interviews. I got to I gotta do the work. So yeah, no, um, I've just been out of the game a little bit. So I just want to get back in the game, find my footing, and then jump.
Kristen:Boom. And who knows? Who knows, Robin? In the next place, the you know, a healing place, a fresh start, the the energy is gonna change, the area is gonna change, everything's gonna change. You're gonna have the job, but you want all these things. That's a whole new creation that's happening. Who knows that you talk to one person one day and they say, Oh, Robin, I wouldn't move to that coastal town. Have you ever heard of this one? You know, you don't know what's coming down, and you're like, no, I've never heard of that one. Oh, it's the most quaint, beautiful, and you're like, oh, it's checking all my boxes. You don't know what's coming down. So taking the next step, knowing that the following steps will reveal themselves. We just have to have the ultimate goal in mind, the ultimate, ultimate dream in mind.
Robin:That that actually gives me something more to think about because I'm I'm literally thinking about places going um on what somebody had previously told me. So I gotta get some sessions in with you. You will. I will, I will. All right. I'm gonna I know you get a couple people, so I'm gonna jump down and uh keep listening.
Kristen:Love you. Love you. Thanks for coming up, Robin. Okay, all right. Next up we have Molly, and then we have VA. Molly, welcome, welcome. I'm glad you are here. I hope. Oh, I swapped it, didn't swap. What's going on, everybody? Let's see. Let's see. Okay, there we go. Now it's going. All right, sorry about that, you guys. Oh, it was a great question from Robin. And now we have Molly. Welcome, Molly. Hi, how are you?
Molly:Great, how are you? I'm really enjoying this. Thank you so much for being there. You're welcome. Yeah, and I'm looking for advice on how to overcome some obstacles. You know, I got great visions, very positive vibes for lots of different areas in my life. And, you know, I'm finding myself kind of bumping along the road a little bit, maybe in the who, what, when, where, and how kind of framework. Like something's not aligning for me.
Kristen:Okay. So what is the question?
Molly:So the question is, you know, primarily I am in a spot where I'm restarting a career that had I had taken some time off for my children and and family, and and now I'm focusing on going forward in my career. And many of the interview questions are kind of like, well, you know, that was kind of a couple of years ago that you were doing that. You know, where are you now? And how can I express my value going forward? You know, like I didn't step out forever.
Kristen:Mm-hmm. Do you believe in yourself? I truly truly, truly, truly. Okay. That's what you express to them. Utmost confidence of your abilities.
Molly:Yeah, yeah. Well, that's that's great. So putting that to context, what would you say? Like, okay, so somebody who, you know, I had taken three years back some time to take care of some things that had to be done in the house. And my son was online schooling, and I had all these pulls, tugs, and pulls, a different responsibility. So I'm trying to kind of wean myself off of that aspect. Is there a stepping stone that you might say, you know, to go towards moving forward and like okay.
Kristen:So if I'm understanding you correctly, I think you have like a bunch of counter energies in the same space. You're wanting to move back into the workforce, but yet you're still sort of pulled. It's one foot in, one foot out. Would that be correct? Yes, that sounds great. Okay. All right. Yeah, so if you have one foot in, one foot out, then you're not sending a clear signal to universe. So what I would design is in my head is how could this look ideal for me? What would be the ideal scenario for me?
Molly:Well, yes, that's that's great to frame it up a little better, visualize it better, clearer. I'm going to work on that.
Kristen:Yeah. Trust me, I have to do it myself because there's things that I want to experience, and I'm I'm like, yeah, but this and kind of that, and sort of this, and that, you know, I'm sort of all over the place. So I say to myself, Kristen, you're not sending a clear signal. You're you're sending muddy, muddiness. So I'll I'll just sit with myself and say, what is ideal for me? What feels great for me at this part, this point, this juncture in my life. And then I believe that that is possible. And I will tell you, Molly, every time, somehow it worked itself out, but I didn't stare at it. When I was listening to Neville this morning, he said, when you plant a seed, we don't dig it up and keep looking at it. We just plant the seed and know what's going to do what it's going to do. So we do the same thing with the universe. We put it out there. This is my ideal scenario. And then we keep efforting somehow towards it through inspiration, what feels good. Like that, I'm not saying this is you, but maybe, you know what, maybe I need to fine-tune my typing skills. I used to be 100 words a minute, now I'm 70. You know, what can I do? That's just an example. I'm not saying you type, but just somehow working within the inspiration, because that means you are aligned. If we how it, well, I need to do this, I need to do that, then we're out of alignment. So it's what is coming up naturally for me that feels good, that feels inspiring for me to do. Like you might wake up one day and say, you know what, I want to redo my resume. That feels good. And then you redo your resume. See what I mean? It could be these tiny things, but they're going to come through inspiration.
Molly:That's great. I an amazing analogy with a seed and planting a seed, you don't look at it 50 times. So that that is great. Good, good thinking.
Kristen:Yeah, because that just means we don't believe that it can grow. So we're trying to watch it. We just is there's so much. The first thing I wrote down when you got on the stage was faith and believing. That's what I wrote down without you saying anything, was faith and believing. So I feel like there's again, it it always tends to go back to the letting go and believing. So sometimes it's just trusting, looking at inspirational stories where the wackiest things happen for people, that can set us back into that place of faith and believing. Like I really believe that the universe is abundant. Once we get into that space, then it's easier, quote unquote, to manifest or to believe in our dreams because we're already, we've knocked that part out of it. So anytime that I start floundering, I go back into my belief system. Kristen, we're talking about infinite, infinite, infinite, infinite, infinite intelligence. And then I go, you're right. I'm just this tiny little brain that's trying to manage this. There's infinite intelligence, the quantum field. This is how I talk to myself. This is why I'm saying it so like this. The quantum field. You don't need to know everything. The universe knows everything. Oh, okay. And then I get myself in that space. I hope that helps. All right, we're bringing VA up, and then the queue is open after VA. So if anybody else would like to join, we are talking about speaking things into reality and manifesting. So go ahead and come up. I would love to hear from you too.
VA:Hey VA. Hello. I definitely have to add that manifesting, getting quiet, meditating, affirmations, totally surrendering. Robin, my gosh, I was like in your shoes, and I look at where I was a year ago. I mean, I've been on live a year and one day. Can you believe that?
Kristen:I love it. Congratulations, VA.
VA:Oh, it feels like such a milestone. And I know there's others that are in my class with me here because it does. It feels like we're in class or, you know, learning a new way of thinking and just looking at life differently. I've had my struggles through the years and just the knowledge from the different people that have gotten up here and have spoken. I mean, I I can't say enough. My my faith is in God, and I really leaned hard on him because a month ago, coming back from Florida, it was a disaster flight coming back. Let's just put it that way. It wound up delayed everything, but it allowed me to get quiet. It w allowed me to really think deep. And then to come home and find out that my landlord was selling the place. And I put in an offer, they didn't take it, which is fine. He's since passed on, unfortunately. But he had been sick, and that's pretty much why he was selling. So I just put it out to God because when they didn't take my offer, I really thought, I thought I had it. And then not knowing where I was gonna live, do I quit my job of 42 years and moved down to Florida, which I relocated my son to a year prior, I was just like, I felt like a fish out of water. I didn't know what to do. I was spinning. But the affirmations going into work, you know, because work has been stressful also, but just saying, I'm grateful I have a job, I'm grateful I have a paycheck, it all goes back to April. I was sitting waiting, having my car serviced, and this woman was having her car serviced because she was moving down to the Virgin Islands. Up in Connecticut, she's burned her husband up and sold everything. I said, Oh, what are you driving? You know, oh, a Bronco sport. I go, Oh, those are so neat. Well, as I'm waiting now, because just an oil change turned into spark plugs needed. Okay, so that was quite a bit more money. Oh, by the way, we're doing an employee pricing on vehicles. So I figured, all right, entertain me. Next thing you know, that Saturday I'm picking up a Bronco. Because here in my head, I'm thinking, oh, those are so cool. And you know, of course, my car was at that time, what, four years old, and it it never fit me. It was too small, um, didn't fit my EMS equipment. So, what I'm saying is that when you definitely think and manifest what you want for this or better, it it does come to you. You just have to surrender and go with the affirmations, be positive. Let me tell you, driving that driveway was like driving to my parents' house, but not as deep. And I get to look out my bedroom slider every morning, hear the wildlife, quiet. It's just it's wonderful. In fact, today I took a video and I'm gonna post it of just hearing all the birds and the wildlife and just going up, looking up at the trees and the sky. It was just so beautiful. And you know, I'm gonna put in another eight years, get my 50 years in, and see where I'm at then, you know. But right now, everything's working out for me. I thank everybody here for putting prayers and good vibes my way because boy, what God put in front of me when I didn't get that offer, or they didn't take my offer. I balled my eyes out when I got home. I went in front of the computer before I went to bed. I said, God, I am so blind. You really need to show me where I need to be. And the place was literally on the market for 44 days. They happened to pull it off for a little bit for construction. One day they had it on. I then saw it that evening, and it's mine. So, Robin, it's possible. You don't know where you're gonna go. Just don't get so hung up on this one place. Just know that there is something out there for you. So that's my awesome share.
Kristen:That is your awesome share. Thanks, VA. And what I'm hearing as I was listening to her story was how every I'm glad she gave us details because I was seeing how everything fell into place. Even with the flight delay and all the things that happened, she said, it allowed me time to get quiet. It allowed me time to go within. And right then I wrote on my paper, everything is purposeful. It was a setup for the next thing to come. And then with the Bronco, and then with the new house. And this, it reminds her of her parents' house and where it's at, and the fact that the landlords of that house said that the driveway can be a little treacherous in the winter. And she's like, I just bought a Bronco. Everything just went boom, boom, boom, boom. And when it happens like that, we look back and we're like, I really didn't do anything. There's nothing that I quote did, meaning I didn't put all this hard work into finding all of it, it just flows. And this is the beauty of surrender. It really flows. It's I've story upon story. And there's stories that I remind myself of when I get into that place of trying to control or trying to how. And I'm reminding myself to surrender. I go, remember how it worked out with this story and that story? Oh yeah. I really don't think I have to do anything. Um, no, Dinga. I don't think no Dinga, you are not in the queue. You are okay. All right, hold on one sec, Cher. Um no problem. Yeah. You're not in the queue, Dinga. You're good. Okay. Hi, Cher. Thanks for coming.
Sher:Hi, thank you. Hey, so you know, I was thinking about one, uh, my brother's name is Neville, so I thought that was funny. Um, I love it. Yeah. So um, but yes, you know, you have to just kind of go with the flow in a sense. Yes, yes, yes. No, uh, because I'm not really, I'm not, I'm not religious, and I know you're not necessarily talking from a religious perspective, but I'm just you just have to kind of plunge in and and and just do the thing. And I discovered that when I was ill a few years ago and the recovery, and I just, you know, did the thing and just kept moving along and it came out, everything came out, you know, great on the other side. And then when I made this decision to plunge into my new existence, really in the hardest point possible, um, with my mom ill and all these things going on, I just said, I'm just doing it. And here I am now, actually kind of shocked that I am here on the other side, and even starting to think about, you know, other longer-term goals I've had. And now I'm thinking that they're actually possible because before they were just these pipe dreams. Like I have this vision of myself being able to uh I work remote, and so I have this vision of me working in different places for a month or two at a time, um, like going to Vancouver, British Columbia, going to Huntington Beach, California, going somewhere on the East Coast, maybe Boston or something, and just working, maybe even London for a month or two, and you know, having that capacity. And so now I'm thinking, you know, maybe I can make that happen somehow or another. Yes, you can. It's just exciting that you can do the things, and people should believe that they can do the things, even if it's feels like there's so many obstacles, sometimes, and you don't we don't want to jump into things, you know, precariously, but sometimes you just have to go for it. And the path will clear. Yeah, yes, and new opportunities and new new things come up as a result of you just bursting into it.
Kristen:It's just taking the first step, yeah. It's just setting the GPS and heading that direction, not knowing how long it's gonna take and allowing in when we're in full belief, the universe conspires and it puts the right people and the right circumstances and the right idea and the right whatever in our path. Yes, and we'll see it because that's the inspiration. It'll be in our past and it'll inspire us. We'll say, Oh, this book, I want to read this book, or did you hear what that person said, and everybody else is looking at you like you're crazy because it wasn't for them. Right. And all those little inspired moments are set up before us, they're kind of like little breadcrumbs to follow. Exactly.
Sher:Exactly. So then my immediate goal right now is the one thing I let slide during the six months of madness I consider 2025 madness, but is I um I've gotten really fit and healthy in the previous two years. I just like put all my energy into exercising and eating right and losing weight I wanted to lose. Like that kind of all went to pot in the last six months. So now I'm focusing back on that. I even rejoined Noom and I'm like, okay, I've done this before. I know I can do it. I know that my age is not an inhibition because I just did it the other day and I'm going to do it again. And I'm just plunging in.
Kristen:Love it. Yes. And I want to ask you a question when you were healing from the illness, did you have a vision of you whole and healed? Like as you were in that process, like were you like, I'm gonna get there, I'm gonna get there.
Sher:Yes, kind of so the doctor had told me when I was leaving. He says, A year from now, you're gonna be walking and doing everything that you've always done. And I said, Okay. And I just left and I just started on the path and did everything I was supposed to do, and I went back to work in my in a wheelchair, and I just started involving myself in life. And sure enough, a year later, I was definitely way back close to normal and possibly more better because I had a whole new mindset on life.
Kristen:Oh my gosh, that's amazing. And you know what I really love? I love that your doctor spoke those words over you. Because that gave you a clear vision. If my doctor's saying this, I can believe this. That's really beautiful because when I broke my femur and I asked my doctor, will I hike again? This is right out of surgery, waking up in my bed, in the out of surgery in the in the hospital room. And he was standing there and they were waking me up out of the morphine and saying, Your doctor's here. And I asked him that, and he goes, I don't know, will you? That's literally his answer to me. That gave me such a muddy picture of what was possible. I love that her doctor spoke that over her. And by the way, Cher Jennifer says, Cher is inspiring me today. She is on it. Yes, I love that too. I agree. I agree. That was a great story. And now we have Miss Amani is coming up. Thank you, Amani. Glad to have you. You guys are really bringing so much yummy to this conversation today.
Imani:How's my sister friend doing today?
Kristen:Great. I'm awesome. Thank you.
Imani:Wonderful, wonderful. It is now raining here in Nashville. And it's so soothing of how it's raining and it's like bringing the temperature down. I'm like, oh, thank you, baby Jesus. You just knew how hot I was. Okay. So nice when that happens.
Robin:Yes.
Imani:So speaking into reality, so okay, first example is where I live now. When I first got to Nashville, I was having to rent rooms because the cost of living here is sky high. Like if it's hard to find a one-bedroom apartment under $1,500 here. And I moved from a place of I had a two-bedroom townhouse for $699 a month. So it was kind of like, wait, what is going on? Wow. Where was that? The townhouse. In Georgia, the Macon, Georgia area. Wow, that is quite a difference. Yes, it was like sticker shock. So I had to rent a room for $1,000 because it was hard to find a room in someone's house for less than $1,500. So I got the room and I kind of went from room to room to room until finally last year I was like, I can't do this anymore because I can't regulate the environment. I can't regulate the temperature. I have to concede to everybody else. And I was always outnumbered because there are more roommates than just me. And they didn't understand what I was going through. So I was like, okay, God, um, we need to figure this out. I don't know how, but figure it out. I applied to other places. I even had an apartment search company do this stuff for me because I don't have I didn't have a car. So I couldn't go and look at the open houses or go and look at the apartment myself. They would do go and take the videos and then send it back to me. But even in that, they kept selecting what they wanted instead of listening to my exact specifications. So here they're telling me, oh yeah, it's an easy thing. And I was like, but how much is the apartment? Oh, that's $1,500 a month. I said, I did not say I don't want anything over $1,200. What are you doing? But there is this one place that God kept having me circle back to. And I was like, Well, you know, that area, I've never been there. That's kind of far away from the job. You know, how much is that gonna cost? My credit screen ain't that great. But the third time was a charm, was when I got one of the leasing agents who was really nice. She actually got an iPad and actually physically walked to an available apartment and she was showing it to me in real time. This is what the bathroom looks like. This is the you know, the living room, the kitchen, you know, and most of them have wash or dry hookup. I was like, God, you're speaking to me. Did the heavens just open up? That's how exciting it felt to me. Yeah. And I was like, okay, God, it's your way. This is it. You have to do the impossible because I don't make three times the rent, which is a requirement here in Tennessee, too. I don't have the credit score. I don't have a double deposit. But if this is where I'm supposed to be, God, you make it happen. I got the apartment. I didn't have to pay a deposit.
Robin:Ha ha.
Imani:Wow. I had to pay for nothing. You got the first floor apartment?
Robin:Oh, yeah.
Imani:I got a first floor apartment. It's quiet. My neighbors are quiet, but the whole community is quiet.
Kristen:That's a boss.
Imani:So I'll joke with people on the phone. Do you hear that? They're like, no, what? I said, exactly. It is peace and quiet, except for the occasional fire truck and ambulance because I'm right next door to a fire station. But that's just white noise in itself. It's like, oh I hope everyone moves out the way and let them get to where they need to get to. Because that's the thing here in Tennessee. They don't pull over for ambulances or fire trucks here. And I'm like, that would be a ticket in Colorado. Really don't. It's not a law. No. And sometimes people try and outrun the fire truck in the ambush.
Kristen:I'm sitting here looking like, okay. They need to catch up to yeah, they need to catch up to what's good.
Imani:But I like to say, okay, go ahead and do something, and you'll be on my census sheet tomorrow. Because I work for trauma surgeons. We get all those accents. But it was just, like everyone said, fully surrender, full. I don't know how this is gonna happen. He's gonna make it happen. And that's exactly what he did. And I know he's gonna do the same for me for my next biggest thing. I don't know if you've heard of the Jennifer Hudson show. She has what's called a spirit tunnel. So every guest goes down this hallway, and all of her staff is up and down the hallway, and they have a song specific to that guest. I'm gonna go down that spirit tunnel to you.
Kristen:Oh my gosh, I've never heard of that. I love Jennifer Hudson, by the way. Oh my gosh, that is so cool. I'm glad she has her own show. That's amazing. And they make up a song about that particular person. How fun is that? I've never heard of that. Thank you for that, share. Amani, it was a very inspiring share as well. We're bringing up Miss Jessica. Jessica, welcome.
Jessica:Hi there, how are you? My husband, it's been bothering me all day, and I can't put it away. I don't know why. But my husband asked me, when is it enough? And I told him, I don't know. I don't know if there is any enough. How do you know?
Kristen:Okay, enough in what regard?
Jessica:Well, um, I got sick about three years ago. And after periodic surgeries, they finally fixed that, and then I got cancer. And yesterday I found out that's gone now. But through this whole time I've been doing stuff for the for the community because I just kind of let everything go because I was like, okay, I'm going to die, so I'm going to just uh do every bit I can to help other people while I'm sick. And that's become this big, huge, joyous circus for me. And when I get uh every Tuesday, I tell my husband, okay, this is what I'm going to do this week. And he goes, You mean this is what you're going to try to do? And I go, No, this is what I'm doing. You should know this. We've been married for 25 years now. When I tell you I'm going to do it, we're going to do it. And he goes, When's it enough? You homeschool the kids, you do all this stuff for the community. When are you going to be you and have time for you? And I go, I don't know what that means anymore.
Kristen:Okay. So I'm only getting a slight, slight glimpse into the picture here. It because when he said, When is it enough? When are you going to do for you? It sounds like to me he's alluding to that you don't take care of yourself, Jessica. Would that be accurate?
Jessica:Well, I take care of myself as far as my health. But I mean, I I used to like do fun stuff with kids, like video games and stuff. Now it's more arts and crafts or other things that my kids also projects and stuff, and we give it away for Christmas. It's become this thing, no matter what we're doing, we're doing it for the community instead of for ourselves.
Kristen:So I wonder, is there any possibility that this is just coming from a place inside your husband of not feeling like he has enough attention on him? Not enough time for him. Is that a possibility?
Jessica:I don't know, because he's always working. He goes to work at five o'clock in the morning and he doesn't come home until eight, nine o'clock at night.
Kristen:Okay.
Jessica:So, and he only has the weekends off.
Kristen:Okay, because there's a motive. Yeah, there's a so on the weekends, does he get your time and attention? Yes. Okay. So there's a motive for him asking when is it enough? So honestly, I would go to him and say, what did he mean by that? Enough of what? You know what I'm saying? Because I to me, it's there's something that's not clear to me here in what's been said so far because the picture looks ideal. But when you come in with a statement like, when's it enough? There's something driving that. And I don't know what it is.
Jessica:Yeah, it is because I've always been trying to achieve more every time we do these community events. I thought maybe he's like, Well, okay.
Kristen:Okay. Well, now we're now we're on to something. That makes sense to me. Okay, so what are you? You might need to come back a few time out, Jessica. What are you getting or proving through these community events? Is there are you trying to outdo yourself? Are you trying to be seen? Is there approval or is it just exciting? What is the motive behind you doing so much?
Jessica:Every time I see a problem in the community, I feel like I have to fix it.
Kristen:Okay, you have to. Is it I have to, or I'm inspired to and I want to? I think it's more of a I want to. Okay. I have this feeling about me that I've talked about on here before that I'm what I call hyper responsible. I feel like I'm responsible for the world in everything and everybody. And I've had to rein that in to understand. I don't know where it came from, but I literally feel like I'm responsible. Everything. Any someone's stuck on the side of the road, it's my job to stop. Someone's doing this, it's my job. Everything is my job. And I had to understand where that came from and that it is a thing and that I'm not responsible for the world because it was pulling me in too many different directions, and I couldn't focus on my personal wellness. So, my question to you, oh, Jeannie or um, Jessica, if you want to pop back in, please do. We can continue this. I see Jeannie's in the queue. So I'm just trying to break this down for you. Is there, do you feel like it's your job, or are you still driven by the, and I'm just throwing things at you, Jessica? Driven by, I'm gonna die someday. I want to get as much done as possible. Is it I want to leave a legacy? Is it it fulfills me and makes me feel alive? There's something going on that is driving you. And we're trying to determine whether it's a healthy drive or an unhealthy drive.
Jessica:Well, it's like um my grandmother, when she died, because she raised me, you know, keep going back to the moment when she died because of uh nobody was sad. And I keep telling my husband, I have to leave this world to a place people are gonna actually miss me, you know.
Kristen:Okay. So you feel like maybe by overachieving, then that's how people are gonna miss you?
Jessica:I just feel like I have to help everybody as much as I can.
Kristen:Okay. So is when you're going within Jessica, is there a place inside of you where you can say, Am I overdoing in some areas? Is it taking away from something else? Am I overdoing? And be really honest with yourself. Is there an overdoing at some point? Yeah. Great awareness. Great awareness. So, yeah, when you find that that, because I same. I'm just telling you, same. And it when I found that place for me, I was like, okay. And then I found the beliefs that was supporting that, which was, you know, it's my job to make sure everybody's okay. And I realized that it's not my, I don't have to be that vigilant. This was my story, it doesn't mean it's yours. And I started to work with that idea of letting things go. So when you can find the belief that's really supporting that you have to do all of this for whatever reason, and you start to ask yourself if that's really true. There's something that I heard one time, and I love this, and that says people will remember, will not remember what we did for them. They'll remember how we made them feel. So it's not the overachieving that people remember, it's the hugs, the love, the quality time, the listening. Do you see what I'm saying? Yeah. Does that fit anywhere in your picture?
Jessica:Yeah, uh it makes more sense because uh he was trying to talk me into last week hiring people to come out to help take care of the animals and the farm. Because I do it all by myself.
Kristen:Well, he's really supportive of you.
Speaker 1:He goes, You're just doing too much.
Kristen:That's love. Yeah. What I'm gonna what I'm gonna have you take away from this, Jessica, is and you can you can DM me if you want when you when you get an idea or you you have a realization, is what am I trying to prove? Am I trying to prove my worth? Am I trying to prove my value? You know, just what am I trying to prove? If there's nothing, because it does sound like you are overdoing, so there is a typically some type of fear or false belief that is supporting the overdoing. And when you find it and really can nail it, you can heal it. Are you feeling this? Yeah. Yeah, I can tell it's clicking for you. I'm really honored and proud of you for coming up today and asking that question because what we did just in seven, eight minutes, what you were willing to do for you in seven, eight minutes is allow me to help you dive into the core, and that's the sign of a true seeker. And somebody who wants to do things differently. Do you see the claps coming up on the screen? I don't know if you have an Apple device.
Jessica:No, I have Android device.
Kristen:Okay, well, it's blowing up. Everybody's clapping and hearts and all kinds of things. So that is the indicator that everybody is so proud of you. And they see you. They see you doing the work for yourself. And I'm I just want to say thank you for honoring me with this question and taking the time and the bravery, girlfriend, to come up. And you are going to be receiving 300 vibes for your first time on my stage. Okay, she just timed out. All right. That was Jessica. Everybody's gonna be getting, I I believe that's her first time. If she's been up again before, I don't remember. And also Molly, both of them, first times coming up. All right, I've got time for one more person, and that is Jeannie. So we're bringing up Jeannie. Thanks for coming, Jeannie. And I see you in the queue, and I will need to be ending after this. So, Jeannie, welcome.
Jeannie:It's so good to be here, and it's so good to talk about having you. Talk before I think about um how I'm trying to lose weight and how different it is this time. And I'm certain that it's because I fully believe that I can do it, and because I want to do it for my health and for my kids. So I have a very definite picture of that. I love it, and I can see that it's working, and I have no doubt about that. The other day, I guess it was a week ago, I fell and I landed on the side, on my side, on the side of my tub. So I got a pretty good blow to my ribs. I'm having a tough time coming back from that, but I know it's just a matter of time. And I believe that everything happens for a reason. I feel like I'm kind of just a baby in this whole topic, but I've always believed that everything happens for a reason. Of course, I couldn't imagine what the reason was why I fell and got hurt. I wasn't even thinking that far ahead at the time. After I'd been there for a few hours in the emergency room, they transferred me to a higher-level hospital that was just a little country hospital. I thought, why do I have to do this? This is such a pain in the neck. I'm never gonna have somebody to come pick me up from here. And I really wasn't thinking about what else could be going on. It turned out that while I was there, they noticed, or I got, I don't know if I had it the whole time or not, but I got um extremely low blood pressure, dangerously low. Like my nurse was freaking out about it. I wasn't as worried about it as she was. But as I've come to see what the result of this could be or has been, um, I realized that maybe that did have something to do with my fall. Because they tried to tell me that, or that they thought I had a stroke and that's why I fell, which I know I didn't, and I know that's not why I fell. But this could be the reason. You know, that I had low blood pressure, and maybe that caused my dizziness and that caused me to fall. So I guess I can see that it was kind of a good thing that I fell, even though I'm still in pain and can hardly take a breath. And so I feel I feel good about that. Like I said, I don't feel good yet, but I feel good about the reasoning and that I have to go through this.
Kristen:That sucks. That oh my gosh, oui. It sucks. I love yeah, that sucks, and it hurts. And I'm glad that you are looking at this, like, you know what, they discovered something within me because had they not discovered that if that was the reason why I fell, now we know. So I won't fall again.
Jeannie:Right. And now I come to my question, and it's kind of related, kind of not. It's related to this topic today. Like I said, I'm kind of a baby in all this, and something I've had for so long and that I've worried about is I have an incredibly strong fear of fire. And it's rooted way back when. So I worry all the time that if I'm worrying about it and thinking about it, that I'm gonna cause it to happen. But I think if I heard right today, I'm learning that because I have doubt about it and it's not my desire to bring it into play, that I don't have to worry about it?
Kristen:Well, that that's a tricky question because what we've what we focus on and fear over and over and over and over and over again eventually can come into play. So if someone fears being cheated on over and over and over again, that can eventually happen, right? But there's several trains of thought on this. So let me try to break this down. One, what I've heard from Mike Dooley is Mike Dooley says that those thoughts are so weak, it takes lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and like millions of them to come into reality because they're so weak. So I like that idea. But the other thing is that you might have heard me tell this story, Jeannie, where I was afraid of dying quickly because my parents died close together. And then I had this fear that I didn't even know was there about because I felt like an orphan unconsciously. I had this fear of ever my children becoming orphans. So I was driving around, just scared all the time, driving in my car. And I said, Oh, I don't want to be in that energy. I don't want to attract that to me. Again, I don't really know how this exactly works. But what I started doing is I started protecting myself and saying, I am surrounded by white light, I'm fully safe and protected. Every time I'm in a car, there's this big bubble around my car. Even imagine myself driving down the road in a bubble and how funny that would look. So I'm gonna say, don't focus on the negative aspect of this. Focus on that that's that will never be part of your experience. And that your house is protected, you are protected, you know, whatever you need to protect. I'm not sure the extent of this. The key is to take the focus off whatever you're focusing on and focus on what you do want. Okay? I hope that helps. Another great conversation with all of you today. You rock my world.
