Hey you, welcome to The Dating Chit! I’m the host of this show, Tongalag Liu — aka Tea.
Host Tea:This is a podcast about love, dating, connection, and what it really takes to build something lasting in today’s world. First of all, can we all agree that dating these days kind of sucks? It’s chaotic, overwhelming, and often just… exhausting. We’re living in a time where finding love feels more uncertain than ever in human history. Swiping has taken over, and we’re stuck in this crazy paradox — afraid of missing the one we didn’t swipe on, while endlessly matching with people who aren’t even what we’re looking for. We end up chasing quantity over quality. Looking for the right person now feels like a part-time job. And after one too many disappointing dates or situationships, burnout kicks in. But that’s not even the hardest part. The hardest part is having to keep showing up — staying open, staying hopeful, bringing your best self again and again… even when it feels like nothing is working.
Host Tea:If you’re still listening, I know this resonates. You’ve felt the emotional exhaustion. The disillusionment. Those quiet moments when you start wondering whether love is still out there— for you. This isn’t how love should feel. And it doesn’t need to be.We’re at a turning point in our culture—a moment where genuine, human connection matters more than ever. I, for one, refuse to let chatbots replace the kind of meaningful relationships we all deserve. Even Hinge’s founder, Justin McLeod, recently said, “Now more than ever, we need to be championing real-world connection.”
Host Tea:Because real relationships are what make life colorful. Meaningful. Worth living. That’s exactly why I created this podcast.I wanted to build a space that cuts through the noise—a place where we explore dating with curiosity, not judgment. A place where we slow down and really get to know people through deep, unfiltered conversations.
Host Tea:T he main part of this show features guests who are quality singles, represent a dating archetype, and bring a unique lens on love. They are emotionally available, self-aware, financially stable, and genuinely ready for love. These are people I’ve personally screened—starting with my own circle — who are kind, respectful, grounded, and open. Each guest, I ask questions that actually matter — not just to them, but to you, the listener. In many ways, it’s like I’m going on a thoughtful first date for you. We go beyond the surface to explore who they are, what they value, how they love, and what kind of relationship they’re truly seeking.
Host Tea:On this show, we also invite married guests or people in long-term relationships to share how they met their partner, how their relationship evolved, and what actually helped it succeed over time. Their stories offer perspective, contrast, and wisdom—showing how dating decisions turn into real relationships over time.Every episode is designed to give you one key takeaway: a deeper understanding of how different people think, feel, and love.
Host Tea:You might hear something that sparks a new perspective. You might feel more curious about your own patterns. You might even find yourself wanting to date one of our guests — or becoming a guest yourself. Understanding each other—and understanding ourselves — isn’t always obvious. Especially when our minds work so differently across genders. Trying to figure each other out in today’s dating world? It’s even more confusing. That’s precisely how this podcast is going to be useful: I’m here to help you move beyond assumptions and guesswork. Through honest conversations and real insights, we build emotional fluency together — so you can date and connect with more clarity, confidence, and intention.
Host Tea:We are creating an intimate, purposeful community here, one where emotionally available, high-quality singles can be seen, heard, and maybe—even—fall in love!
Host Tea:So, welcome to The Dating Chit!
