Donna Hayes has quite the story before her scam even got started. Hayes grew up in poverty in Jamaica and was able to make it to America and make her dreams come true. She thought she met the man of her dreams who ended up stealing from her. However, she was able to actually get SOME of the money back and write a book about her experience.
