Go ahead and close your eyes. Take those three deep breaths, those three deep breaths just signaling to your body and mind that it's time to relax and unwind. As you allow the sound of my voice to make any effort at all that it takes, and should you find yourself at any time becoming distracted, then just smile inside. Take a deep breath and return your attention to paying attention to the sound of my voice. As you turn your inner awareness to the top of your head, and begin to imagine what it would be like if you were standing outside on a beautiful starry night. You know, that that kind of night that everything just feels quiet, and all of the stars sparkling above, millions and billions of them. And there may be one star in particular that you feel a connection to, and feeling that energy drifting down to the top of your head, or or maybe for you, it's more really paying attention to the feeling of your feet on the earth and allowing that comfort and relaxation to move up through your body. Whatever feels best for you, just go with it. And if you're unsure, and what I'd like you to do is just turn your attention to that feeling of the air moving in and out of your stomach and chest. Maybe even taking a few deeper breaths. And with every exhale, imagine what it would be like to exhale the stress, to exhale the fear, to exhale the doubts, as you just breathe and be, and allow that comfort and relaxation to drift through a shoulder or a wrist. As you take yourself to that quieter place deep inside where the body relaxes the mind and the mind along with it. And now with every exhale, imagine what it would be like if all of the molecules, the atoms of your body, on every exhale were exhaling out into the vast expanse of the universe. What would that feel like and look like if it were true with all the molecules of your body just expanding out into the stars in all directions at once? Noticing a sense of connection with that universal flow, whether you want to call it God or the universe or or just the atoms of your body feeling like they're going home. And from a science-based perspective, all of the molecules of your body were originally born of stars, and so as you become stardust again, feeling somehow at home with it. And with every exhale, continuing to imagine all the molecules of your body exhaling out into the vast expanse of space, and and should you believe in a sense of a god, this too may feel like going home before you. And you can travel as far as you choose to the Milky Way, to other galaxies. Or staying closer to home if you choose, seeing the earth there below you as you just breathe out and expand as far as you feel comfortable to. And as you do, you may get a sense of these deeper connections, like these beautiful threads between you and those that you care for too. And those threads, those beautiful threads, they're with you. And it's a two-way conversation because they are with you and you are with them. And even if there's somebody that you haven't seen in a really long time, but that you know has that kind of love, that kind of compassion and care for you that allows you to be your very best. You can feel that now, maybe in a way in which you hadn't noticed before. And if you feel like you don't have those people in your world, that's okay too, because you are a child of the universe. The universe doesn't make mistakes, it doesn't create things that have no purpose. Out of all of the beings who have ever been born, there is nobody who is exactly like you. There are people who can do the things that you do, but there is nobody who has ever been born that is exactly like you. The universe is already madly in love with you. And if you prefer to replace in your mind the word universe with God, that's fine too. And if you're a person who believes only in science, well then universe becomes process. And out of all the processes that have ever occurred, there has never been created in those processes somebody just like you. You are unique in all of it. And interestingly enough, of course, so is everyone else too. And out of all of the people who will ever be born, even after you and I have long since gone, there is never going to be anybody exactly like you. And so, our only job is to be the best us we can be. The best that we personally can be, that is what the universe, the process God needs. And that's it. And so, as you continue to imagine yourself just expanding outward into those beautiful distances, that vast expanse between stars and galaxies. Just breathe, just be. And when you're ready, take a deep breath in and imagine yourself breathing in the energy of the stars, breathing in the energy of the galaxies, the planets, breathing it all into the core of your being, connected. Feeling yourself there in your chair, feeling your body in the space where you find yourself as you now continue to breathe that universal energy in, breathing in the sense of the stars, the energy, breathing in those connections so that when you come up out of this meditation today into your normal day-to-day life, you can still sense that greater connection. And how would that change what you do today? How would that change how you choose to feel? How would that greater connection allow you to better be your best today for you and those you care for too? Picture yourself in those situations that have been problematic for you before and see yourself now with this greater connection. In those situations, handling them even better. And how good that feels.
