This meditation is all about relaxing. Relax. Dump a little stress, dump a little worry, dump a little anxiety and irritation, and just kind of reset yourself so that when you come up out of this meditation today, you are feeling lighter, clearer, more relaxed, calmer, more on track.
IntroThis is the Meditation Minis podcast with your host, hypnotist, Shell Hamilton.
Chel HamiltonIf you haven't done so already, go ahead now and close your eyes. Allow that sigh to kind of escape on the exhales. Signaling to your body and mind that it is time to relax, to just unwind. Let the sound of my voice make any effort at all that it takes while you just close your eyes and kick back. And imagine what it would be like to be in a hammock on a perfect day. Maybe it's summertime, maybe it's kind of humid, or maybe it's springtime or autumn, whatever that perfect day is for you, just go with it. As you get a sense, imagine what it would be like to be in that hammock. You might even find yourself in your chair, just naturally wanting to sway gently back and forth. Back and forth. Do you see a blue sky above you? Fluffy white clouds, or maybe the edges of some leaves of the branches of the trees? And where is the hammock? Is it in your yard or is it at the beach? What sounds might you hear as you just relax in this hammock, allowing the swaying of it as you drift back and forth, back and forth, to relax you even more as you breathe and be. Imagine what it would be like to just allow all of the tension, the cares, the worries to just drain out of your body, draining away as you continue to gently sway back and forth with the blue sky above, and the hammock just swaying gently, and the the sounds that you hear as it birds. Is it the wind? And just noticing, maybe even how does it smell? If you're at the sea, you might notice the salt air, and and if you're in a yard someplace, maybe it's the smell of fresh cut grass that relaxes you even more. Or you may be out in the middle of the woods someplace, and that's fine too. And then you you have the smell of the green things growing mixed with the dankness of the earth. With each and every breath, imagining yourself just relaxing even more. That's right. And now, whatever sensory experiences are working best for you, whether it's the things that you see, the things that you feel, what you hear, just go with that. As you allow that feeling, that experience, that sound, that sight, whatever it is for you to take you even deeper into the experience of letting go into the flow. As you continue to just drift and dream away for a time, allowing your body to relax your mind and your mind along with it, without even needing to know how much more comfortable you can really become. As you allow your hammock of relaxation to take you deeper and deeper into that relaxation and flow now. As you prepare your body and mind to come up out of this meditative state, noticing your body in the chair and maybe sounds in the room around you. As you take another deep cleansing breath into your lungs, coming to a lighter and more aware state, and when you open your eyes today, still feeling very relaxed and on track, but full of energy, perhaps. Like you just took the most refreshing little nap.
