We are going to do a process that I love when it comes to having cares and worries that we kind of struggle letting go of. I think you'll find it very helpful. I know a lot of my one-on-one clients adore this hypnotic meditation for that purpose.

Intro

This is the Meditation Minis podcast with your host, Hypnotist Shell Hamilton.

Go ahead, close your eyes, take three deep breaths, and let's begin to relax into that peaceful little place of trance. And each and every gentle breath you take can allow you to usher in a deeper state of relaxation as you listen to the birds singing and the music flowing and the sound of my voice. I'd like you to imagine as though you're walking through a dark forest, and you're just on the edge of escaping that. You can see the light up ahead where the trees make way for a meadow. You're going through the dark forest, but you can see the light, and it's so close each and every step you take, as you continue to follow along to the sound of my voice until you find yourself so surprised to discover that you made it out of that forest, even though for a moment there you were sure that you wouldn't be able to. That there is a part of you that's still back in that forest. Those worries, those concerns that you just can't seem to let go of. And there may even be a part of you that feels like you're getting sucked back into the forest, but just stop, take a deep breath, and look up at the blue sky as the clouds drift by. And you may notice now there on the grass is a very large balloon. But it's not filled up with air or anything, it's just lying there, and with it is a string. And what I'd like you to do is pick up that balloon and hold it, and you might find yourself kind of curious about all of that. And as you hold that balloon in one hand and the string in the other, imagine yourself out there in the meadow, closing your eyes and allowing all of your worries, all of your cares and concerns to begin to fill up that balloon. Filling it up with all the hot air of your cares and concerns, the worries that you've been carrying around with you. As that balloon gets bigger and bigger, just big enough to hold it all. And it's kind of pretty now. All those worries and concerns there in that balloon have made that balloon quite lovely to see, and a good size too. And go ahead, tie the string on the balloon and hold the one end and let the balloon go and just hold on to the string as you see that balloon floating there in the air. As though it's waving to you, waving away the cares and worries and concerns that fill the balloon, and you may notice yourself feeling a little happier and lighter already. But don't worry, you can hold on to that string as long as you need to feel safe until you finally decide to take a deep breath and let the balloon drift away into the sky as it smiles back down on you like a funny little cartoon, and all of your cares and concerns and worries float away with that balloon. When you come up out of this meditative state today, feeling good, and any time throughout the day that you find yourself thinking about those worries, you may notice a balloon in your mind smiling back at you as it drifts away, taking with it all of the worries too. And then open your eyes wide away.
