Our mind is our powerful manifesting factory—where thought, imagination, and awareness shape the reality we experience. Beginning with the science of the brain and expanding into the mind, psyche, and higher consciousness, I share real stories of transformation that reveal how resolving trauma and other emotional blocks, can open the path to profound change. We also explore emerging ideas surrounding consciousness, such as quantum microtubules—tiny structures in our brains that are thought to carry our consciousness, encompassing everything we know and who we are, to be dispersed or returned to an eternal form of awareness after death. We then explore the concepts of the soul and spirit, focusing on how visualization, daydreaming, and our connection to both the spirit and the creator—the source of everything—facilitate manifestation in ways that can only be described as miraculous.
Welcome to episode sixteen, our incredible manifesting factory, the mind. Last night I caught heart of a novel program called Your Brain Perception Deception, where neuroscientist Castern said, There are more connections in your brain than there are stars in the Milky Way galaxy. We walk around with about 10,000 galaxies worth of neuronal connections in our brains. That is a fantastic analogy. It provides such a vivid representation of our brains. So now, this is where we will start with our brain, then progress to the mind and finally the psych, our higher consciousness, bringing together the essential components of our incredible manifesting factory. Neurons in the brain communicate through a seamless combination of electrical and chemical signals. When a neuron fires, an electrical impulse travels down its accent, like a signal moving along a wire. When it reaches the end, it releases chemicals called neurotransmitters, which cross a tiny gap, the synapse, and trigger the next neuron to fire. This electrochemical system is what powers everything, your thoughts, your emotions, your movements, and your body's internal functions. So hang in there. I know the signs can be tedious, but it is really important to understand that manifesting is not exactly magic or wishful thinking. It is the natural result of how your mind, body, and awareness work together to shape the reality you experience. Now, as I mentioned back in episode two, this internal communication extends throughout the body via the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve runs from the brainstem through the neck and into the organs, heart, lungs, and digestive system, acting as a major communication highway between the brain and the body. So everything is connected, and we'll need this understanding as we move forward. Now here's where things become even more important. There is both a connection and a distinction between the brain and the mind. Brain is the physical structure, the mind is the system in which our thoughts, perceptions, and experiences take place, both conscious and unconscious. And most of what drives us happens beneath the surface. Scientists estimate that about 95% of our behavior is controlled by the unconscious mind. This means that most of what you think, feel, and do is happening automatically without your awareness. This is exactly why I created this podcast. Because if we don't bring awareness to what is unconscious, it will continue to shape our lives without us realizing it. And let me add that right now your life might not be going so well. So this is your opportunity to make a significant difference in your future. Okay, so now let's go deeper into consciousness itself. At its most basic level, consciousness means being aware of our state of being. But at its highest level, it becomes something more, a state of pure awareness, a sense of oneness, a quiet presence beyond thought. This is where the feeling of separation begins to dissolve. Some describe this as transcendent consciousness, a still, wake awareness, non-dual awareness, recognition that everything is connected, and in a state of unconditional peace and love. And within this state, we notice shifts. Fear and ego no longer drive us. There is a deeper sense of intuition and a stronger connection to the present moment. So why does this matter? Your ability to create your life, take your next step, and move toward what you want begins here in your head. This includes your physical brain, your mind, and your higher consciousness. Recent research in consciousness studies has explored the idea that awareness may not be produced by the brain alone, but instead may be connected to a deeper process within the brain's structure. One theory proposed by researchers like Stuart Hamarov and physicist Roger Penrose suggests that tiny structures inside the brain cells called microtubules may play a role in the consciousness at a quantum level. These microtubules are part of this cell's internal framework, but some scientists believe they may also process information in a way that goes beyond traditional brain activity. What makes this idea especially intriguing is the suggestion that consciousness may not be entirely dependent on the physical brain. In some interpretations, when the body dies, the quantum information held within these structures, our consciousness and all we know and who we are may not be destroyed but instead dispersed or returned to a vast field of awareness. If this is even partially true, then consciousness may not end with the body, may simply change form. Now we move into something less tangible, but just as real. We've talked about the brain, we've explored the mind, but there is another aspect of who we are, something that isn't physical, yet we all feel it deeply. Many call it the soul. The soul is often described as the essence of who we are. It isn't something you can see or measure, but it is something you can become more aware of. Its presence is in those quiet moments, when you feel deeply connected, when something inside you just knows, when you sense meaning beyond logic. Often through meditation or indeed prayer, we find this part of ourselves. The spirit is distinct from the soul. It is understood as an energy life force that moves through us and connects us to something greater than ourselves. If the brain serves as the structure and the mind functions as a processing system, then the soul acts as the observer, while the spirit represents the energy that alienates everything, guiding us towards our creator, a higher source, and a greater purpose. As science continues to explore these concepts, many individuals throughout history and across various experiences recognize that we are more than just our physical bodies. This awareness, a presence, does not seem to be confined to the brain alone. Religions have evolved this understanding, rooted in the experiences of witnessed miracles, and answered prayers. Some individuals dedicate their lives to nurturing the soul and communing with the spirit, living in monasteries, convents, temples, or caves while engaging in a continual meditation and prayer. This aspect of human existence has been significant since the moment we stood outright and discovered fire. So this is where things begin to change. Once you become aware of this deeper part of yourself, you will experience life differently. You will no longer just react, you will observe, you will no longer simply think, you will choose. From this perspective, your life becomes more intentional. And this is powerful. From this vantage point, even if you cannot visually perceive all the internal mechanisms, it will intentionally shape the future you desire. Wow, that's a lot of science and beyond today. Well, this is a deep subject, considering all the mechanisms involved. I want to provide an overview to help you understand its intricacies. It's my hope to present it to you in a way that will demonstrate just how real it is to use your mind for manifestation, including the psychological principles and techniques that can facilitate this process. Now, with a deep breath, we can relax because it's story time. And within these stories, you will know more about the psychological process. I'll begin by sharing one of my own stories, followed by another, to illustrate how to operate your incredible manifestation factory. In 1995, I was the founder and director of the Children's Legal Clinic. We faced critical challenges in maintaining operations and needed a more sustainable way to support our mission. At that time, slow economic growth had led to decrease in funding for charities, which significantly impacted our ability to provide legal services to children in need. Consequently, my husband and I are both artists. We decided to open an art gallery or coffee house, which would also house the clinic's office. The idea was that the art gallery and coffee house would generate revenues for our mission. However, this would require money that we didn't have. So while managing the office from our home, I took a daily 20-minute nap to visualize the gallery that we needed. Plus, we began driving around various art gallery districts in the city to check out open spaces. This is what I referred to take steps into your future action component of the visualization process. Soon it began. First, we partnered with one of our volunteer attorneys who became the money partner. And he always dreamed of opening a coffee shop, so this was his opportunity. With funding secured, the next step was finding the right space. Our attorney partner preferred the first four location with too many windows, not ideal for hanging out. But since he was the financial back, we went along with his choice. I had my eye on a cool solmo-style low level space, so I maintained my 20-minute visualization schedule, imagining our coffee house in our county, in my ideal location, picturing all the details of our opening night, fantastic art on the walls, a band, coet's performing. In the end, the spacearm partner hall fell through, and we ended up in the location I prefer. And this was in Chicago's Gallery District River North Area, which was famous. Was amazing. We sold art while serving cappuccinos and bagels, all the while handling calls about children's legal cases. For a long time, I practiced visualization without fully understanding what I was doing. Then one day I realized that my seemingly far-fetched ideas were actually coming true. Now I'm sharing this with you so you can start manifesting your desires with intention. I have one more story to share, and it's manifesting at its finest. A client of mine had a mysterious recurring rash. But once we worked through her unresolved trauma, those deeper blocks were clear, and so was her rash. She was in her late forties and longed for a marriage and a home, often comparing herself to her sister's lives. So she made a list of what he had to be. A millionaire, handsome Catholic. I tried to ground her, but she was set. And once she focused and visualized everything, it began. Three men appeared, one after another, a wealthy doctor. But they couldn't connect for cultural reasons. Next was a widower she was falling for, till he revealed he was terminally ill. It was heartbreaking. And then came Mr. Perfect, wealthy, healthy, and alive. They had a big wedding and he bought her a beautiful home across the street from her beloved church. She was one of the most powerful manifestors I have ever seen. But until we cleared her trauma, her unconscious was still in charge, keeping her feeling alone at being alone. She received a miracle in all reality. How else would such a supersized must have list for her future husband come true? A miracle, yes it was. And I could also ask the same question about my life. How have I been given so many incredible experiences in such a short life? I did not have a doctorate in anything, but I had been gifted with a heart, a mind, and a soul that could connect to the higher power to manifest what is necessary in my work for helping others, animals, children, and people. Call it prayer, meditation, or visualization. It is our soul at work. Once we can get our subconscious mind to stop interfering with all unresolved traumas and doubts, we can truly begin. But dealing with our emotionally charged memories is the hardest part. It is a huge obstacle. Just getting past denial and fear confronting these issues is the biggest challenge people struggle with. If only we made emotional recovery and growth a priority during our teens, twenties, thirties, and even forties, the world would be at peace. No wars, no hatred, no divisions. In fact, if we could help children early in studies that would allow them the freedom to share their fears and shame, we could do so much more for them as individuals and for our society by reducing depression, suicide, crime, violence, all forms of antisocial behavior. I know it is a reach, so many lives in so many places with issues like just trying to stay alive as the greatest goal. It is something I do. I visualize our future to be peace, no wars, and room for every living thing to experience a full and happy life. So now back to the process of visualization and our manifesting factory. On to the next step. This is where we move beyond the mind and into the soul and spirit. Because yes, the mind is our manifesting factory. It sets the stage, it creates the images, it holds the focus, but the power, the true movement comes from something deep. For me, it begins as an intentional daydream, then it evolves into something quiet, almost meditative, where I allow myself to fully visualize and embody what I desire without force, without doubt. I don't chase it, I enter it, I feel it, I live it. And in that space, something really begins to happen. Because when those visions begin to unfold in real life, even far-fetched ones, it doesn't feel like coincidence because it is too in line what I imagine. It feels more like a miracle. And I believe that's because it is. It is spirit moving, it is amazing, but even science is beginning to explore this on its own through studies on quantum microtubules, suggesting that consciousness may not be confined to the brain, that it may extend beyond the physical body itself, that when the body dies, these microtubules deep in ourselves carry on electrical currents the self, the consciousness, the soul, out of the body and into another realm, a vast space. So these true stories of these miracles and the science behind them should only deepen what we've always felt. That is our connection to our higher power, to that infinite intelligence, that creative force that we are not separate from, but born out. We are the same energy, the same essence, the same creative power. The mind may imagine it, but the soul aligns with it, and spirit breeds life into it. So the stems are not just to think it, see it, believe it. It is also to feel it in your soul, trust it in your spirit, and allow yourself to receive it as something co-created, not forced, not controlled. Because when the mind, soul, and spirit come into alignment, manifestation no longer feels like an effort. Feels like you are created. And if consciousness truly lives on, even beyond the physical, then what we are tapping into isn't just imagination. It is something eternal flowing through us, guiding us, and listening to us as we create. So dream it, feel it, trust it, and let it become.
