What if miracles are not random, but the result of inner alignment? This episode explores the science of neuroplasticity, the psychology of the subconscious, and the role of consciousness in shaping our reality. From gradual change to sudden, life-altering shifts, we uncover how belief, intention, and deeper awareness come together to create what we often call miracles.

Welcome to episode seventeen. Mind over matter, how miracles actually happen. We've talked about the mind as a manifestation factory, about the body's inner pharmacy, nature in us, and us in nature, and about how thought, emotion, and awareness shape our reality. But today I want to take this one step further into something we often call a miracle, not as something rare or unreachable, but as something that happens when everything within us comes into alignment. Because frankly, a miracle is simply the body and mind doing exactly what they were designed to do without interference. We already know the body can heal under the right conditions. We've seen it in placebo studies, spontaneous remissions, and profound recoveries. So the real questions are what exactly creates those conditions and how do we do it intentionally? A miracle isn't the exception. It's what happens when resistance is gone, when the subconscious no longer runs old tapes, when the body is no longer holding past trauma, when the mind is no longer divided. There's nothing left to block what is naturally trying to happen. If you recall, I told you about a client who had a recurrent rash that appeared whenever she was stressed out and whenever she got triggered, because the rash stemmed from an unresolved childhood trauma. But once she resolved her childhood trauma, the blockage was released and a miracle occurred. The lifelong rash left her and never returned. I will also point out that this is self-empowerment. To become free, you must be strong and confront the most challenging situations of your past and current life. By doing so, you realize that you are no longer a victim. You're not five years old anymore, and you no longer need to hide from the trauma you experienced. As I mentioned in previous episodes, the practice of visualization, a daydream, along with our connection to something greater, enables a part of us that imagines, feels, and connects beyond our visible reality to achieve profound results. I cannot emphasize this enough. When we visualize and hold something as already real, we are not merely pretending, we are tapping into something deeper. Much of our life experiences are not solely defined by the present moment. They are influenced by conditioning. Conditioning isn't just personal, it's inherited, it's learned, it's reinforced through the authority of family, culture, environment, and over time it shapes what we believe is possible. And that conditioning becomes automatic. With neuroclassicity, our brains physically, electrically, and chemically wire itself around that conditioning until it becomes the way we think, feel, and respond without even realizing it. So when we talk about change, healing, or even what it feels like to have a miracle, we're not just changing a thought, we're shifting away from the conditioning we've been living from. So when the conditioning begins to change what we felt impossible, it begins to feel like it can be real, and this is key. Now we can see that perhaps a miracle isn't something that breaks the rules, but something that happens when the conditioning that limited us is no longer in place. We are not fixed in a permanent state. We are conditioned, and what is conditioned can always be challenged and changed. So you see, maybe miracles aren't as far away as we've been taught. Maybe they begin the moment we become aware of what's been shaping us and then actively choose something new. It might not happen immediately, but just the intention and the effort start to open that door to the portal you seek in your psyche. Historically, miracles are frequently attributed to the intervention of saints, holy people, or avatars. Stories of supernatural events involving founders like Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad are central to the faith's authority. Yes, here's that authority word. Authority over you, above you, outside of you. This is relative to all the conditioning we have undergone. For instance, a teacher, doctor, priest, parent, judge, and the police are all authorities. Their authority is important so that we can learn and heal, follow doctrine in order to get into heaven. But there are many forms of authority that we must accept and abide by. Otherwise, we risk breaking the law, losing our personal authority, potentially facing imprisonment. However, if an authority is causing harm to people or the environment, etc., we have a right to challenge that authority. Understanding the reasons behind your feelings and your emotions are crucial. Once you grasp the why and wherefore, you can consciously transform your subconscious to work in your favor. Now let's explore the relationship between science and spirituality, if they can indeed be separated. I believe we cannot divide ourselves in a way that separates the mind, body, and soul, or psyche. It is only in embracing our totality that we can truly live our lives to the fullest. To have it all, I mean. I will share a little of my story to demonstrate. Following my severe childhood trauma, I experience extraordinary miracles and visions. And even in studies there is no doubt that trauma opens the psyche to the other dimensions. When a child's safe, predictable world is annihilated, it can force a radical transformation of identity and allow for experiences that go beyond normal, logical reality. This happened to me. So the mind and the body, then confronted with what is unreasonable, such as a mind-altering pain or threats of death, may disassociate as a protective measure, sometimes leading to experiencing other dimensions. These can be seen as spiritual guardians, comforters, and in some cases altered personalities. And they can take the form of visions or voices to protect the child in times of unbearable terror. And healing means transitioning from a victim state to one where the individual reevaluates their life. Many survivors develop a profound sense of purpose and a non-separate understanding of the self, which entails living with one foot firmly on the solid ground of earth and the other in the realm that exists beyond the limitations of our carbon-based senses. I have recovered and healed, and based on my experiences, I have found it easy to embrace this aspect of myself in life. I learned so much from the opening, or should I say, portal in my psyche, which has also influenced my art. I tap into it and it arrives through automatic drawing. Later I discovered that this technique developed in the early 20th century allows for the creation of art without conscious thought, drawing on the subconscious psyche to guide the hand. I engaged in this practice simply because I could, thanks to my openness to the spirit in the sky. I know what I'm talking about. I have helped others understand their innate powers, to utilize them, and how to gain better understanding of living a happier life. They are the ultimate authority over their thoughts and emotions, but there is the part where in some cases it requires the person to deal with the past to go into a better future. We all pretty much need to do this, to be honest. This is where healing truly begins. It is not enough to simply acknowledge painful trauma by recognizing its existence, setting it aside with some understanding, and then returning to life with just a superficial solution to keep it from resurfacing, because it always does. Living in this manner does not lead to true freedom. Instead, you remain under the influence of external authority, which with trauma also resides within you. This result in persistent fear, negative thinking, and the belief that this is simply how life is becomes the norm. My reason for discussing trauma again in this episode about miracles is that we are conditioned, even if we have not experienced trauma ourselves, to doubt the possibility of the impossible. Because we have all been conditioned to not deny anything that the so-called real world dictates, we should believe. Anything else is wacko. And so in the case of a child who undergoes trauma that reshapes their understanding of the world, new pathways to miracles, visions, and innovative ways of thinking emerge, ways that defy social norms. Consequently, the definition of what was considered normal has transformed. So let's take the placebo effect, which we often see when a doctor prescribes a sugar pill. Is there a way we can harness the power of placebo ourselves? This concept also applies to miracles. The placebo effect is essentially what we perceive as miracles, particularly in one study when individuals experience pain relief in knees they believe have undergone surgery, even when no actual operation took place. And so, when we bring all of this together, what we've been calling miracles are not exceptions of nature. They are expressions of it when nothing is in the way, when the body is no longer carrying the past, when the subconscious is no longer repeating old negative conditioning, when the mind is no longer divided, when we connect to that deeper part of ourselves, something remarkable happens. We return to what we were always designed to be, not broken, not limited, not waiting to be saved, but fully capable of healing, of shifting, and creating change from within. And yes, there are moments, moments of urgency, of crises, of absolute desperation, where there is no time to rewire our negative impossibility thoughts, no time to consciously rebuild our faulty belief system, and yet something happens. A life is saved, a body recovers, an outcome shifts in ways that cannot be explained. And in those moments we glimpse something even deeper, that beyond the mind, beyond conditioning, there is an intelligence, a consciousness, a presence that responds to us. Whether you call it spirit, source, God, or something else, it reminds us that we are not separate from it, and perhaps the greatest shift is this, not waiting for a miracle to come from the outside of us, but to finally understand that we are participating in it. Through awareness, through intention, through healing what has been unresolved, and then through allowing ourselves to believe, even just a little, that something is possible, because the moment that door opens even slightly, everything begins to change. This leaves us with our minds, our thoughts, and the potential to create miracles, or at the very least, to achieve things we desire in life, even if they seem remotely possible. You might long for a new car or a specific model. Perhaps you desire a happier marriage, and this if you're facing cancer diagnosis, and you may want to live long enough to witness the birth of your first grandchild. While that may sound a bit dramatic, it's a real thing. I say why not set your hopes higher? Aim to live long enough to see your first grandchild born, graduate from college, get married, or even witness the birth of your first great grandchild. Why not? We might be conditioned to accept doctors' opinions as the final word, which can lead to us losing hold and submitting to a shortened life. This is our conditioning of impossibilities. In contrast, believing in possibilities serves as the golden key to witnessing and embodying miracles. My dear cousin spent the last couple of years of her life bedridden. She was in hospice care, receiving support in her home. Her only wish was to live as long as her mother, who reached ninety-three years old. She achieved that goal, surviving until her ninety third year, and then succumbed to COVID. I still ask myself, what if she hadn't set a goal of living until ninety three? She did not have a life threatening condition, she might have lived much longer. The only reason she was bedbound was that her hip replacement had failed and she could no longer walk. We will never know. However, I believe she created her own exit from a handicapped life and created an exit door for herself. To be honest, every day we live is a miracle. There is no reason for any of us to expect to survive another day, given all the dangers that exist on this planet. Accidents can happen while crossing the street or driving through an intersection. Sudden death from a heart attack or stroke is always a possibility. Having a baby carries significant risks, and we must also contend with forest fires, flash floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, and perhaps the greatest threat of all, viruses, the most deadly and widespread of our adversaries. So you see, we live by the grace of God or whatever higher force you believe in, which includes our own mindset of impossibilities or possibilities. With every thought, idea, imagining, and bullet you dodge, miracles do occur. Now here's the lesson from this episode I want you to know. You are a miracle worker, you are an able person, you are marvelous, you are the creator of your life path, which includes all of your experiences, past and present. We are all taking part in it, so I encourage you to become aware of your thoughts and actions, recognize and challenge the negative chatter in your head, and seek clarity so that you can be your best self. A miracle isn't the exception, it's what happens when resistance is gone. We are not fixed, we are conditioned. So now you know you don't need to wait for a miracle. Maybe you only need to remove what's in the way. Because the moment that shifts, everything begins to change. Please join me next time for episode 18. Miracles in the making.
