Welcome back to From Women in Motion. It's been a while. As you may recall, a number of times I said that my spiritual efforts on this program were to give a Rifwashthema, a complete healing, to my mother, Rhoda Zagorsky, Risha Dvora Bhat Penina. Sadly, my beloved mother died in January, and my efforts now are Le Lui Nishmatta to elevate the Nishama, the soul of Risha Davora Batyakova Kohen. I had hoped to have at least one episode ready to go for during the time I would take off, but it didn't work out to record before, and I just took the time I needed during Shiva and Shloshim, the 30 days after the funeral, to just really be in a place of mourning. I've been on my own journey back into motion since my mother's death. In less than a week, I flew twice internationally. I sat Shiva, where physically all I did was sit and eat. I came back to Israel and unfortunately got one of those viruses with endless coughing that just lasts for weeks and weeks and weeks. I finally started feeling better. I started to consistently run at least five kilometers in the morning. It's now been three times that I've had these. I'm coming back. It's all gonna be okay. I'm doing okay moments. And then not to be. Here we are in the second week of war with Iran. These episodes stay online and online and online. So perhaps by the time you hear this, we will at last have permanent peace, and Mashiach will have arrived. I want to thank you for joining me as I do my best to motivate myself and to motivate you to be from Women in Motion. Welcome back. So, since I last posted an episode, we've had some good news from Women in Motion, and Kosher Casual did their first collaboration. And congratulations to Jillian Weinberg, who won the famous Kosher Casual exercise skirt with attached leggings. And this podcast has had over 500 downloads. I can't quite believe it. Thank you. So today we're going to do a mini podcast. I spoke again with Libby Frager. We last spoke with Libby in November when she was working really hard to come back into motion after having her fifth child. Her baby's now a year and a half. She's working more hours at her job, juggling her family needs, and still doing her best to try to fit at least some exercise in. So the war with Iran has made this quite challenging for us. Libby and I were not able to find a way and a time to sit down and have a proper interview. So we ended up exchanging WhatsApp messages and voice notes. And there's one that I really wanted to share with you about what Libby said about the Jerusalem Marathon. So you might remember from her first interview, Libby spoke a lot about the Jerusalem Marathon. It was her first half marathon experience. And the Jerusalem Marathon is perhaps the Zrat Hashem, please God, coming up at the end of this month, at the end of March, or perhaps not, depending on what happens with the war. So I asked Libby if she was training for anything. And here was her response. I really loved it and I wanted to share it.

Hey Ellen, it's good to catch up. You asked me, Am I training for anything? And the answer is I am definitely training because I want to have my best life. And part of it is being able to have mobility, flexibility, balance, all that stuff, all that good stuff that affects women, especially as we age. So I just will give a little example of how I feel like I'm succeeding towards my training goals because at home I try and do a lot of balancing things, you know, standing on one leg, then sending on the other, nothing crazy. And so I was at the fruit store before Shabbos, and I was holding two containers of fruit. Maybe it was like a few pounds in total. I'm just holding it with one hand, and I have my other hand on the stroller. We're waiting in line, and I'm there with the baby, and the baby's a year and a half now, he takes off his shoe and throws it. And I look around, nobody's picking it up. And I'm holding the things of fruit, and I just, you know, I have I I was just standing there like normal people stand, and I just put one leg, like I kind of shot it forward, to the perfect lunge position, and I lunged down and I picked up that shoe and I stood right back up and I, you know, put it safely in my bag so he doesn't throw it again. And I was looking around, I was like, did anyone see that amazing thing that I just did? Like this, I even thought to myself, this is what I've been training for. I felt like there should have been like a ribbon that I could have run through to be like, so that was like a really fun experience that I had that I just shared by myself, and now I'm sharing with you that I can have these little skills that like something falls on the floor and it's like, okay, I got it. I can I can get it, I can, I can squat to get it, I can lunge to get it, I can sit down to get it and get back up. And these are skills that I do not take for granted because I know that it it can be really challenging, it can be really hard, especially if you are in the middle of nowhere when a siren goes off living in Israel during a time of war, to be able to get down and put your hands over your head and whatever the laws are of how you're supposed to protect yourself and then be able to get back up. That's a blessing to be able to do that. So that's what I'm training for. I'm training for life, and I'm training for middle to older age. And so I I have a focus and and I want to get there.
