Welcome back. I'm so excited you're here. Hopefully, you're here to learn about becoming a faster way coach, or you're curious about my coaching journey because you're interested in becoming a client of mine. Either way, I'm so happy you're here. So I'm just going to say it right here and right now. I don't regret being a faster way coach. I sincerely love it, but I definitely see it very differently now than I did in September of 2023 when I became a certified coach. If you're thinking about becoming a coach or you've seen people talking about it online and you're like, what is this? Is it actually worth it? I want you to hear this first. Because there are things that I love, things that completely surprise me, and a few things that I really wish I understood before I started. Listen, as always, this is not a sales pitch. This is not me trying to convince you one way or another. This is just the real, honest experience from someone who actually does it. So, really quickly, let's break down what the faster rate of fat loss actually is, because I feel like a lot of people don't fully understand it. At its core, it's a nutrition and fitness program. It strategically combines core pillars: macro tracking, so you're following specific protein, carb, and fat goals. Carb cycling. Some days carbs are lower, some days carbs are higher. Intermittent fasting, usually something like a 16-8 window and structured workouts, predominantly strength training mixed in with HIT and active recovery. Everything is delivered through an app, weekly plans, and a group coaching environment. From a coaching perspective, this is important. You are not creating your own program from scratch. You're not creating your own app, you're not creating your own marketing system, you're plugging yourself into their system, and your role is to guide your clients through it, support them, keep them accountable, and build a community. It's not like you're building your own unique method. It's more like you're stepping into this incredible existing framework. I will say, going into it, I really had this picture in my head, and I thought it would be pretty straightforward to grow. My background is not in health and fitness. I come from a corporate background, and I was very used to metrics and structure. And I really believed that having a proven system would mean things would move faster for me, that clients would come a little easier, and that a lot of the heavy lifting was already done for me. And while that is incredibly true, the resources the Faster Way gives you as a coach are incredible. They give us videos, they give us promotional materials, they give us things to talk about with clients. I mean, it is endless the resources they give us. But what I learned very quickly is I am the brand. Their system is helpful, but it doesn't replace me showing up, me building trust, me creating content, and consistently putting myself out there. You definitely still have to market yourself. You have to sell, you have to build relationships. And the program doesn't do that part for you. It shouldn't. This is my business. It is my coaching business. And so it took me some time to kind of shift my mindset from being a contributor for a corporation to being my own boss. And the whole reason I became a coach is I wanted to help women in a very specific way. Um, and not just kind of the cliche I wanted to, you know, pay it back or pay it forward. I really wanted to engage and help women through midlife, through this journey of gaining weight, losing weight, gaining weight, losing weight, wanting something to stick. I wanted to help my friends, I wanted to help my coworkers. And there are things that I genuinely love about the Faster Way. The biggest one is the structure. I don't have to make up the workouts, I don't have to make up the meal guides. The Faster Way does that for us. And they are incredible. My body has completely changed because of the Faster Way nutrition and workout programming. If you're newer to coaching, that's huge. You don't have to create everything from scratch. But here's what you do have to do: you have to go through a really rigorous certification. There are modules, there's a test, you have to get 100%. And so you're not just like selling something, you are coaching women, you are helping women with this journey. And you have to be a certified coach to do that. If clients follow the program, they can absolutely get results. And there is something so powerful about being able to stand behind a system that's proven to work. I very much appreciate the community aspect. But like any community, there are people who will really help you, there are people who will actively not help you, and there's everyone in the middle. I mean, I feel like that's just life. There is something so motivating about being part of a group, having shared goals, and not feeling like you're doing everything alone. So there are some definite positives. Here are the unexpected things that I just wish I had more awareness of. Um, there were some things that I just didn't expect, and you are following this framework, which is so helpful. And you need to understand scientific principles and methodologies and nutrition. And that doesn't come to me organically, it doesn't happen overnight. It's through consistent learning. Um, there is something I think to be said for if you are not a salesperson, you will have to shift your mindset. Or you could be like me and say, I'm a terrible salesperson, but I am a proven incredible coach. My clients demonstrate my willingness to help them, my responsiveness. You know, I problem solve, I redo macros for them. We talk about strategies and solutions. That is where I thrive. That is my strength. But on the flip side of that, you have to create content. You have to have an Instagram account, you have to connect with people and invite them in. And that can take a lot more time and energy than you could ever expect. I also think there's an emotional side to it. You have to not fall into the comparison trap with other coaches, with their results, with their growth, with their income. And if you're not firmly rooted in your own direction, your own voice, I'm telling you that can really get into your head. And not everyone stays long term. You can have coaches come and go, and you're constantly bringing in new clients, and sometimes clients leave, and that can be hard too. I would say that's just a few of the nuances that I just could not have ever fully understood, sort of going in. If I could rewind and do it all over again, there are a few things that I would change. The biggest one I think is I would focus on building my voice, my brand from the beginning. But I couldn't tell you today how I would do that. I think it's just being confident in what makes me different and why someone would choose me. But you don't know that until you start. I also started my Instagram account from zero. I don't share, actively share my family or my children on Instagram for my own personal decisions. And I also block and delete a lot of the weirdos. Like I get a lot of weird messages, honestly, from men, and I block and delete them. My account would be probably 5,000 more by now, and I just hit 10,100, I think. My account would be a lot bigger if I didn't do those things or if I did do those things, but I'm okay with that. I would set realistic expectations for myself. I don't know that I could have set any different expectations, but kind of knowing what I know now, it would be better. Um, I am very good at consistently showing up, but it's hard to create content. And so I actually had to lean in and invest in resources to teach me how to do things on Instagram. Um I would say that also my decision to not sell things on Amazon or click links for clothing, you know, I very much keep my account and my brand to this lifestyle. And I do sprinkle in travel because I love it and I'm passionate about it and I like to share. But there is nothing, air quote, for sale with me other than investing in yourself to become a client of the faster way. And I also sell protein powder that I use and love every day. I think that this is really important to understand. The Faster Way is a great fit for people. Um, I think it's an excellent program for women who are looking for nutrition and workouts and coaching and accountability and community. If you're new to coaching or you're interested in coaching and you want structure, I definitely think, and you want individualized structure, this is my opinion. Look for a coach who's a smaller coach. The larger coaches, it's incredible the businesses they built, but my personal experience is I received no hands-on tutorials or encouragement from the larger coach that I was attached to. My personal experience. If you join under, and also the Fasterway is not an MLM, it's an affiliate marketing system. And I'll talk about that in a minute because I obviously forgot to talk about it before. But if you join under a smaller coach, you will get more personalized attention. That is my experience. Let's talk about the business side. So you are a coach, it is your own business. Some coaches form LLCs, some don't. That's up to you. Um, but you definitely have an opportunity to invest in systems. I recently started investing in like an automation mail system, but before that, I invested in verifying my account on Instagram. I do many chat, which is an automated response function. And honestly, that's probably about it. I'm pretty basic because I'm that hands-on person. I'm that hands-on coach. I don't hire other people to do my work. I literally do it all myself. Um, and some might say, well, that's why you're not scaled and that's why you're not as big as so-and-so. And I'm okay with that because that's my style. I am a hands-on coach in every aspect. I do not hire a virtual assistant, a customer service specialist. I do not hire other coaches to work for me. Again, because I do the work myself. Um, I also think that the way the Fasterway compensates us, so as a coach, you earn 50% commission off of every new client that you bring on. And then when their membership auto um bills every month, you get 50% of that as well. It's very generous, but again, it's not an MLM. I am earning that 50%. They pay every Friday by PayPal. And I will say that my income has helped our family save for trips. It can help with a car payment, it can help with groceries. You know, it's kind of however this is additional income for me. So it's kind of however I allocate it. And because I don't have those robust automated systems or people working under me, my overhead is very low. I think if you want something to do on this side, because that's the only way I know how to do this, um, and you want full creative control, and you really want a way to help other women, um, and you want to explore creativity on the Instagram side, this might be a great opportunity for you. Um, just know that you've got to find your own voice, your own brand, your own style, but it will come. It will happen with time. At the end of the day, this experience has taught me so much. The number one thing that I'm proud of is how proud my family is of me. I've had several significant wins in the last couple of months, and my family is so supportive. My friends on the internet are so supportive. This experience has taught me about being an entrepreneur. It's taught me about myself, and it's not a guarantee, but it can really help you build a lifestyle and something to do as your kids age, you know, something to do on the weekends when you have extra time and really make the decision that best aligns for you. Um, this is a shorter episode. It just, we're going through our certification program right now in the faster way. And I really just wanted, like I said, I always share openly and transparently. But if this episode has helped you, or if you've been thinking about the faster way as a client or as a coach, I'd love to hear your thoughts. You can DM me on Instagram, you can leave a review here, um, or you can message me through the messaging system wherever you listen to this podcast. I really have to say that I'm so glad that I took this leap of faith. I invested in myself. Um, I'm very proud of the work that I have done. And I really can't wait to see what the rest of 2026 holds for me in this, you know, adventure that I'm taking as a coach. Um, and that I'm so grateful that my family has been so supportive. And like I said, seeing them be proud of me for something that is so far outside of what I've ever done for the past, you know, over 25 years in the corporate world has been truly rewarding. I can't wait to share with you next time about a few spring break ideas and a little sort of trip twist that we're taking in the upcoming weeks. I'll talk to you soon.
