Andreas Østhagen is a Research Director for the Group of Arctic and Ocean Politics at the Fridtjof Nansen Institute, as well as Senior Fellow at The Arctic Institute. He is further an affiliated fellow at the High North Center at Nord University Business School and teaches “Arctic Security and Geopolitics” at Oslo New University College.

PhD Research Fellow, Fridtjof Nansen Institute. His main research interests are in the fields of environmental, climate, and energy security in Northeast Asia and the Arctic, with a special focus on Russia and China. Other research interests include water resource management and security politics on the Korean Peninsula.
Gabriella Gricius, PhD, is a Senior Fellow at the Arctic Institute, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Konstanz, and a Fellow and the Media Coordinator with the North American and Arctic Defence and Security Network (NAADSN).
She received her Ph.D. from Colorado State University’s Political Science Department where her dissertation explored the prevalence of low-tension discourse in Greenland, Svalbard, the Northern Sea Route, and the Northwest Passage. Her research interests broadly cover international relations, Arctic security, the potential for desecuritization during great power competition, and the role of experts in security decision-making processes.
Nicholas Glesby is the Network Administrator of the North American and Arctic Defence and Security Network and Ph.D. Student in Canadian Studies at Trent University.
Pavel Devyatkin is a Senior Associate and Leadership Group member at The Arctic Institute. His research areas include Russian Arctic policy, US-Russia and US-China relations, international cooperation, governance, security, and diplomacy. He provides consultations to companies and academic institutions on Arctic affairs.
Pavel’s writing has been published by the US Department of Defense, Russian International Affairs Council, Polar Journal, Strategic Analysis, The Nation, Responsible Statecraft, and others. His publications are listed on Google Scholar.
