Ep. 17 - The Power of a Believer: A Tribute to My Mother and the Birth of My Law Firm

PodPopuli Media

Every successful journey begins with one person who truly believes in you - and for me, that person was my mother.

In this deeply personal episode, I share the untold story behind my decision to leave a prestigious law firm in New York City and take the bold leap of faith to start my own practice. I had no clients, no revenue, no office, no staff, and huge student loans to pay off.

My wife and I had a one year old daughter and another baby on the way.

At a time when everyone warned me against walking away from security, it was my mother who saw my vision and gave me the courage to pursue my dream.

I also perform a special song I wrote in her honor of my Mom after her passing just a few months ago.

Though I’m still learning to play the piano, this song - like The Star-Spangled Banner - doesn’t require music. The lyrics carry the message all on their own, and they’re a tribute not just to her memory, but to every quiet champion behind a dreamer.

If you're a lawyer thinking about starting your own firm, or if you've ever doubted whether you could build something on your own, this episode will remind you of the incredible power one believer can have -and why you need to be your own, too.

Tune in, be inspired, and remember: every big dream needs a believer.
