Dive into the energy of the sacral chakra. our center of creativity, emotion, pleasure, and connection. In this episode, we explore what it truly means to feel, to express, and to honor the fluid parts of ourselves that are often pushed aside.
We gently on the sacral chakra’s connection to sensuality and sexuality not just in a physical sense, but as a sacred expression of identity, creativity, and life force. This energy invites us to embrace who we are, to release shame, and to reconnect with joy, desire, and authenticity.
We also explore the balance between feminine and masculine energy within this chakra, and how cultivating harmony here can support deeper relationships, emotional freedom, and creative flow.
This episode is an invitation to soften, to feel, and to come back home to yourself
Welcome back, fellow yogis, to our podcast. It is Easter here. We're recording on a Sunday, so happy Easter. Next to me, I got my co-host, Kimmy.
SPEAKER_01And next to me, I've got my co-host, Brittany. Woohoo! And we're excited to talk to you guys today. Yeah. So let's start with our week. Brittany, what have you been up to this week?
SPEAKER_00You've done a lot. I've done a lot of things. Um, so I had our first uh book club meeting on Thursday.
SPEAKER_01Yes, and I missed out, and I had such bad FOMO. I was sad I missed out. It looked so good. It was super fun.
SPEAKER_00Um, yeah, tell them what all you did because you kind of blew my mind. So actually, everything that I did was pretty easy, it wasn't very time consuming. So I was like, okay. Um, so I have a co-host. Um, her name is Hannah. And so she she helps me. She's super young, she does my nails. So shout out to Hannah, my name lady slash co-home.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, she does a phenomenal job. She is on your nails. Yeah, I wish we could attach a picture of your nails right now because they look fire.
SPEAKER_00So she brought the we figured that it would be a good icebreaker for everybody um to do these um bookmarks, and so she had like this clear glue and then like puff paint, and yeah, so she came up with the craft and um I kind of just like set up everything else. She helped me put up the banners and so yeah, we we took an old book, we ripped the pages out, painted the name of our book club, which is Enchanted Chapters. How cute! I know I didn't move a chapter book club. I haven't shared it with you yet, I haven't showed you the logo yet.
SPEAKER_01Oh, they made a logo. I want to see.
SPEAKER_00That's so cool. Um, and then yeah, I just set up some bolsters in a circle and I made a charcuterie board because yeah, you did a lot of food. Yeah, actually, it wasn't a lot of food, it was the perfect amount, but I was able to yeah. It was like super low-key, pajamas are a requirement. Ooh. Um, and then as we like get more girls, um, we'll just add in other jobs or like who's gonna bring the treat, who's gonna Yeah, divide it up. Yeah, but as far as now as we have like an activity or a game to go with the book or like a craft, um, I suggested to the girls that we don't craft all the time because that can be really like overwhelming or it's a just a way to do it every time. Yeah, yeah. So I'm like, let's just do that for like if a book is released into a movie or series, or if it's you know, February for Galantine's Christmas party, whatever.
SPEAKER_01Also, yeah, dude, that's awesome. And it's funny that um that happened this week because my magic moment this week is that I've had time to read again. And I didn't even come to the book club, but I have read two books this week already, actually. So um so the first one was what? Project Hail Mary. I had to read it before I go and see the movie.
SPEAKER_00So I know, and we planned to see the movie, but it was Equinox Weekend, and then like the next day it was like, no, no, I'm tired. So I'm retired.
SPEAKER_01Um, but yeah, I read that and that was a very good read. So wholesome, so new. I loved it actually. Just swell. Yeah. Um, and then I started the first book in the Red Rising series. Um, and then after she had her book club meeting on Thursday and I had FOMO, then I found out what book that they're doing for the month, and I have already started reading of Ember and Ashes.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna download mine today. Because I'm going golfing today, so maybe I'll pop it in my in my headphones. We'll see because I'm going with my 12-year-old. That's so fun. I am so I've been Jonesing so hard ever since we went to Top Golf for his birthday, and I did good. I mean, I might not do good today, but that's okay. That's okay because I like I did the scramble with him last year at the end of like our like league tournaments and stuff where we traveled just in the Cache Valley area for whatever, and I didn't do very good, but man, when I went to top golf, I was good. Heck yeah. So that's way fun. Yeah, it was fun. It's been a very yeah, this it's been a great week actually. So, any magic moments for you? What have you been doing this week besides reading? I was like, that was my magic moment, honestly.
SPEAKER_01The fact that I because because I love reading and I haven't had time to like you've been making me a t a TBR to be read list for the last year because I haven't had any free time to actually read. But now I do, and so yeah, that's it's been so fun. It yeah, it keeps me busy. I like to listen to my books, so like when I'm reading, I got so much yard work done this.
SPEAKER_00Oh, but isn't that the best feeling? You just like get into the like you get into this space where you're just like l into the book and but you're like cleaning your gardening.
SPEAKER_01Yes, I'm cleaning gardening, like yeah, my house is thick and span, like my yard looks good right now, and it's and it's all because I've been reading. Well, not really reading, but listening to my book um at the same time. So it's been yeah, that's been nice.
SPEAKER_00My house is in order, my yard's in order because of Project Chalmary because Red Rising. Yes, so and my whole thing with creating this book club was um I you know, one of the members or whatever you want to call them, they uh one of the girls, excuse me, um, she was like, Well, can we do self-help? And I'm just like, Absolutely. Oh yeah, like throw an occasional self-help in there because we all need a little self-help. Yeah, sometimes those reflections like reflection is good. But yeah, we're reading, well, sorry, let me backtrack. I created the group because I wanted more connection, and I wanted something that wasn't work related, and just like get into my weird little fantasy books with my friends, eat good food, and like yeah, I just I and yeah, just a safe fun place. We had we had a lot of fun actually. That's awesome. I'm so glad. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So next month, we just do it once a month. Once a month we meet up. Read a book in between that time, however you want to read it, physical or listen, audio, Kindle, whatever works.
SPEAKER_00But we're reading, what is it? Of Ember and Ashes. Okay. Okay. I can remember for some reason I cannot. I can't remember. It's because you sent it to me. So okay, magic moments. Um, so I have a couple of magic moments other than my book club. All right, let's hear them. The first one is is uh listen, I love Fit Factory.
SPEAKER_01Who doesn't? I know. I have okay, I also have a magic, another magic moment to share. You just reminded me.
SPEAKER_00Okay, that keep going. Um so if anybody like knows Fit Factory, um, the morning group is definitely definitely different from the evening crew. Um, my morning people were family. Like that's just how the like that's just how it's been, even since um both like when Steph owned Fit Factory before. But um anyways, I love that Fit Factory has been able to keep that fine that family dynamic because on Monday morning I rode my bike to the gym, and when I crossed the street to get me to the gym, my chain fell off. Oh no, and so I had to-I mean, it was like a little walk, but as I was pulling up, I go, Wyatt is there, and I was like, Wyatt! I was like, Can you fix my chain? Because he's a farmer. Well, he used to be a farmer, and he's like a fixer of all things. So after after our workouts, I was like, I went and grabbed him, and it it's four o'clock in the morning, and he fixed my chain. Like, he got in his car. I know, he got in his car, he got his tool bag, he was like, I got all kinds of tools in here, and I was like, Well, I bet you do. And so he he fixed my chain, and I haven't had issues yet, but also we had crappy weather, so I couldn't really I only able to be able to get home.
SPEAKER_01But that's so awesome that he went to helping hand.
SPEAKER_00Aw, what a guy! Yeah, so shout out to Fin Factory, morning crew, that family dynamic. And um, another magic moment is I'm pretty sure Oliver was telling me the word orange without telling me. So I was cutting up an orange, and it was just the wildest thing, okay? And on his tablet over like where our table is in like our chair, he had his tablet and it was a super simple song on YouTube, and he go, and it's like the color song, and so it's like red. I see the color red, and then and then they'll be like, What, or like, can you find anything the color red? Well, I was cutting the orange, and it started singing the orange one, and it ended. And he was like made concentrated on his orange slices because he loves them. But when that song ended, he ran over and rewinded it to the start of where it started singing orange, and so when he pressed play and it said orange, he looked back at me and he was like, Like orange, he's like, orange mom, orange. I know what this is, and I was like, Aw, that's cool. I know he's so cute, he is a little cutie pie. I was giving him lots of kisses this morning because he was awake before I left.
SPEAKER_01Aww. Um, I have another magic moment because when you were talking about Fit Factory, I had so much fun on Friday. So Fit Factory got some new Pilates reformers in there, and they are so nice. But um I got to go in and do a little Pilates workout with our one and only Jamie, our OG Jamie. And we had so much fun in there. I I love being able to um yeah, just hang out with her and do a different type of workout, and it was like it killed me. Like it was good. It was only like 20 minutes, but kicked my butt. But it was so fun. We had, yeah, we had a blast. So thanks, Jamie, for spending time with me.
SPEAKER_00And thanks, Tanner and Meg for owning Fit Factory and making things possible. Yeah, we appreciate you guys. Go Fit Factory, it's a good gym. Um, and they just like keep improving. I swear, every time I go in there and I'm in there a lot, they're just doing better. Yeah, or you'll see Tanner in there cleaning and fixing equipment.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And I'm just like, I love I love this. People need to see this. So we love fit factory.
SPEAKER_01We do our FMKs? Yeah, let's do it. Alright, I got one for you. All right, all right. Okay, we're doing different types of fitness classes. You ready?
SPEAKER_00Zumba. Alright. I'm gonna kill Zumba. I used to take Zumba when I lived in Rock Springs. I mean, I got good, but I'm definitely better at high fit than I am Zumba. Okay. I'm gonna marry Barr, actually, because that's like the oil to the body, not the gasoline. Okay. That makes sense. Probably not to find it.
SPEAKER_01I get what you mean.
SPEAKER_00And you f I'm I'm gonna F High Fit because that can be a casual thing, so that's so funny.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think uh I'm actually gonna kill High Fit and I'm gonna F Zumba and Mary Barr. Alright, yeah, alright. Dude, high fit's intense.
SPEAKER_00High fit is intense, but it's good. It is good, they're all great. We try to go over there once a year. I like just to I like to check in where my body is at, and I think high fit is great for that. Plus, they play really fun songs. They do. And I love the yelling, the energy in there just yeah, the energy is just so fun, so it makes it like even though your whole body's on fire, they're making you go, woo woo, and so then you're distracted and you're not on fire anymore. That's funny. Okay. Are you ready for your FMK? Yeah, let's hear it. Okay. Alright. So disassociating in Shivasana, planning your entire life mid-flow, or instructor making eye contact while you're struggling.
SPEAKER_01I want to kill all of those. What do you mean? What do you mean? I have to cheat.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh. Those all suck. All right, let's see. Disassociating in Shivasana. Planning your entire life mid-flow. Instructor making eye contact while you're struggling.
SPEAKER_01Let's see. I think I'm I'm gonna marry disassociating in Shavasana. Me. I think that's okay. I think disassociana, like it's okay. I do it all the time. I'm trying to come back. You know? Okay, so I'm gonna marry that one. I am going to kill planning your entire life. Okay. Mid flow, because you should definitely not be doing that. And I guess I'm gonna the instructor making F the instructor making eye contact because I mean it happens. At least your instructor's looking at you. Yeah, you know, they're they're supposed to they are looking at you, you know. Like that's that's not necessarily a bad thing.
SPEAKER_00So I know, and maybe it's just like that awkward like moment where they look up.
SPEAKER_01Well, it is awkward. Well, when you make eye contact. You ever make eye contact with students in your teaching? Okay, so sometimes I do, and it's like fine. Sometimes it's also like awkward.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Um, actually, I do avoid eye contact with Jamie. I look right past her because me and Jamie just have that relationship. We just if you notice something's awry, you're both gonna giggle and you're yes, gonna get out of the zone.
SPEAKER_01That's so funny.
SPEAKER_00Um, that's so for the FMK, that was the same choices that I made too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Alright. Should we go into our poll of the day? Uh yeah. Alright, so Brittany already pulled from the comfy cozy witch oracle deck from Jenny Blonde, and she pulled the basil card. Um, the keywords associated are abundance and wellness. Alright, so with this reading, it comes with a mantra, a message, and a prompt. So your mantra is I am open to the infinite abundance spirit provides. Your message. The basil card brings a message of good health and abundance. When this card appears, it's a reminder that true wellness comes from balance of mind, body, and spirit. Basil's energy encourages you to cultivate this harmony in all aspects of your life, to invite in abundance and prosperity. You're in a time where abundance is flowing toward you in either the form of health, money, or personal growth, so don't push it away. Trust in your ability to nurture your well-being and find balance in all aspects of your life. Now would be a great time to do any abundance spell work. On a large piece of basil, write down an intention for abundance that you have for yourself, whether it be financial abundance, friendships, or growth. In your closing prompt, in what area of my life do I feel lacking? What can I call into my life to bring better balance overall? That's a great card. That is a good card. So just be open to the infinite abundance that spirit provides.
SPEAKER_00Good pull. That is a good pull. Um, do you have any love hates?
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah. Um, I love hate. So um, I'll do my hate first because it's just dumb. But like, I get so distracted when me and Britney are in here Sunday mornings and we're like talking about stuff, but we're also talking about like five things in the future as well that we're also planning for at the same time. I do dumb stuff all the time. So like we like we serve coffee for our Sunday class, and so I'm like all getting the coffee ready and stuff and going down, talking to Brittany. I'm like, okay, I need coffee filters. I go down, I'm talking to Britney, talking to Britney, come back up with garbage bags. And I'm like, why did I grab garbage bags? I don't need garbage bags, I need coffee filters.
SPEAKER_00But it's like it was actually really funny because you pulled it out, you you opened it, you like flippingly opened the and you're like, what am I doing?
SPEAKER_01I look at the garbage can and there's a fresh one already in there, and I'm like, what am I doing? I'm like, I'm getting distracted because so yeah, hate when I do that, but I my love for this week, with is what we're kind of about to talk about, but um with the sacral chakra, we did our an intuitive dance to warm up for class, like literally just straight off the bat. We're like, all right, we put on a song, we're like, move. However, feels good. I had so much fun. It was really fun. Our students had fun. It was literally just a little mini dance party. It was it was great. I loved it so much. So thank you for the idea, Brittany, because it was totally all all you.
SPEAKER_00I mean, you planted the seed a couple of years ago. There we go. Just took a snail. But no. But yeah, it was great. Uh, what song did we use for the intuitive dance again?
SPEAKER_01Um, we used the song by Florence and the machine shake it out.
SPEAKER_00And it was just perfect. We that was a hard decision this morning. Like, what song? We spent like 30 minutes deciding a song and like we would dance to it.
SPEAKER_01So I know we're like, we want a song that people somewhat know, you know. Yeah. But like, yeah. So that was that was so good. I loved it.
SPEAKER_00That was actually a lot of fun. Um, so I just have a love this week, and my love that is that my my problem this week is just having sore cheeks from smiling. Like, yeah, what an issue to have. Yeah, what an issue. Absolutely. Um, this morning really got me off. Like, I sorry, it didn't mean for it to come out that way.
SPEAKER_01This morning refilled Brittany's cup for sure. She had so much fun. Whoops.
SPEAKER_00All right, let's go ahead and get into our topic for today. And so last week we talked about our root chakra chakra, and this week we are talking about our sacral chakra. And in Sanskrit, that is pronounced Svadhistana. Svadhastana. Svadhastana, the sacral chakra. All right, the sacral chakra is the center of emotion, creativity, pleasure, and connection. It's located in the lower abdomen. This chakra represents our ability to feel, experience life fully, and move with it rather than against it. It is deeply tied to the water element, reminding us that we are meant to be fluid emotionally, energetically, and spiritually. It's the chakra within us where feeling becomes freedom. It'll teach us that our emotions are not something to control, but something to honor, and so we can be guided back to our most authentic self so we can experience joy, our emotions and creativity. So at its core, the sacral chakra is all about emotional expression, allowing feelings to move without suppressing them. Uh, it's about creative energy, not just art, but the way we create our life, pleasure and joy. Um, we want to be able to experience life through the senses without guilt, connection, and that's to others, but most importantly to ourselves. And our sacral chakra is about our identity and authenticity, and so honoring who we truly are. With the sacral chakra, it's um just Like the root, it has all kinds of elements. It has the color, the principle, and so on and so forth. So with the sacred chakra, the color associated with it is orange. Um, you can incorporate that color by wearing it, by eating it, just by noticing it, looking for the orange things in your life. Yeah. The element um is water. So we're gonna drink plenty of water to flush out any of those toxins. Um it's also adding in that fluidity within our life.
SPEAKER_01Another way to incorporate the element of water is like um you can use it to like if you want to charge your water like with the moon or with the sun, you can like use water with intention, like create a intentive bath, you know, with like some nice smelling essential oils or whatever you want to put in there.
SPEAKER_00But um, I mean, sticking with that water is um a lot of a lot of people will actually stick like um their waters out in a rainstorm and they'll collect like thunder. Collect some rainwater, yeah. And then like they'll add it to their bath or they'll add it to a tincture. Or use it to water your plants, or yeah, and um, yeah, there's a lot to be done with that element, and so it's just bringing that element into our into our lives so we can create balance. The purpose um for sacral chakra is movement, flow, expansion, pleasure, sensuality, sexuality, creativity, and feelings. The body parts associated with this is hips, sacrum, abdomen, our sexual organs, inner thighs, knees, and joints. Um, moving on to the masculine and the feminine side of this. Let me pull this up here. Um, so the feminine energy flow is exactly what it is. It's the flow, it's the feeling, and it's the receiving, but she is also fluid, intuitive, emotional, and sensual. She is creative. It's as if she it says for the feminine side, it will say, sorry, collecting my words here. Um, okay, so let me feel this, let me experience this moment. Uh, this is the part of you that moves with emotion instead of resisting it, receives pleasure without needing to earn it or feel guilty, and then creates from inspiration and not pressure. And even though the sacral chakra is fluid, it still needs structure, and this is where masculine energy comes in. He is the container, the safety and direction. He's also going to bring in presence, stability, boundaries, protection, and direction. Masculine is gonna say, you are safe to feel this. I will hold this experience with you. And this will allow emotions to move without becoming overwhelming, pleasure to exist without chaos, and connection without losing yourself. The sacral chakra isn't just about feeling, it's also about feeling safely. All right, so moving to deficient. So if you are deficient in the sacral chakra, you are going to feel rigged, stiff, dry, numb, difficulty expressing emotions, feeling overwhelmed, low libido, fear of intimacy, isolation, and no creativity. If you are excessive in this, you're gonna have poor containment, you might be a little sloppy, you'll indulge, fixated on sex, over-emotional, manipulative, and you may suffer from an addiction. Now, if you're balanced, you're gonna feel full but contained, you'll have graceful movement, harmonious relationships with ourselves and others, you'll have freedom of expression, you'll be more passionate, creative, optimistic, healthy libido, and fun. Which we had fun today. We had so much fun. Um for essential oils that you can incorporate to help you balance um your sagral chakra, you can use bergamot, cardam, cardamom, cardamom, cardamom, claire sage, clarisage, sorry, and orange. For frequencies, you're gonna listen to anything that's 417 Hertz. And this is like the thought behind this is to move that negative negative energy from the body so you can unblock everything and feel good. The seed sound is VOM, so V-A-M. And we did that at the end of class today. We chanted that, and that made me so happy.
SPEAKER_01And the seed sounds is just another way, like coming back to like frequencies, like it's a way to like speak out like that clearing of the chakra. So, like the VOM helps release what is being stuck in that sacral chakra.
SPEAKER_00And I would have to say, if you're pretty in tune and your eyes were closed and you are tuned in, you can feel it in your sacral chakra. Absolutely. Did today. I did too. Um, okay, so identity with the sacral chakra is emotional. The demon is guilt.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so the identity is emotions. This is all the feeling. This is our feeling chakra. You know, this is where all of our feelings come from: the pleasure, the joy, the pain, the sadness. Um, and then yeah, that demon's gonna be that guilt, that feeling guilty about either enjoying the shame, yeah, all the things associated with that.
SPEAKER_00Um, so there are some polar polarities when it comes to our chakras. And Kimmy is going to actually go a little bit deeper into the polarities of it and what a polarity is.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so the principle for this uh chakra is polarity, and polarity is just the idea that life is made up of opposites. So there's, you know, there's light and dark, there's effort and ease, there's the masculine, the feminine, the doing, receiving, all the things. But um, opposites need each other to exist. So like one is defining the other. Like we can't just like without rest, we wouldn't understand movement. Without stillness, we wouldn't recognize flow. So polarity is just about finding the balance between forces instead of living in one versus the other. Um, so specifically for the sacral chakra, um this polarity shows up as like the control versus surrender, the holding versus the letting go, the structure, the rigidity versus the flow, the fluidity of life. Um, so when the sacral chakra is balanced, we can move between both of these states with ease. Um, we're not gripping onto one too tightly, and we're also not like completely ungrounded either. Um, so the whole point of polarity with the sacral chakra is just to find the balance between those two and to be able to move back and forth because we're not always going to be constantly in balance, but you need to be fluid enough to move into the one, to be able to surrender, to be able to move forward with intention. You have to be able to practice both.
SPEAKER_00Um, and that's exactly where my inspiration came from for the intuitive dancing. Yes. Um, I have been reading a lot and have found a lot of research on like there's actually a lot of professional athletes specifically putting in that intuitive movement into their warm-up routine because it makes them feel better.
SPEAKER_01Well, I felt better. I felt so good. I think it's so good. I know. That was so great. But yeah, so this sacral chakra with the the polarities, it's be fluid enough that you can go into both, that you can find the balance between the two. Don't don't get stuck in one. Don't be rigid and fluid.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because like there was like when we started.
SPEAKER_01There's times that are appropriate for both. Yes. And you need to find the balance and move back and forth.
SPEAKER_00And you know, we did have some students that were a little apprehensive at first with the intuitive movement, but like once a week.
SPEAKER_01Like the only reason I was comfortable is because this is my studio. And I know everybody here. But like if I was new and coming in, I'd be like, um, no thanks. I'm nervous. You know, but then everybody warmed up because we're all over the room.
SPEAKER_00Get off your mat. We're gonna be making a video, so watch for that. Um, so one of the things that I kind of wanted to like touch up on a little bit more is with the sacral chakra. There's they talk about your identity and like your and the the sexual side of it. This is yeah, yeah, there's a big sexuality side to this. Um, your sexual identity isn't just physical, it's energetic and spiritual. It reflects how you relate to yourself, how safe you feel being seen, and how authentically you you allow yourself to exist. So um, when your sacral chakra is balanced, there's a sense of I'm allowed to be who I am, my desires are valid, my body is a safe place to live in. So suppressing or questioning your identity to fit expectations can create energetic stagnation here, not because something is wrong, but because something is not being honored. If this chakra is about creation, then it makes sense that not all expressions look the same. Spiritually speaking, diversity in identities reflects infinite ways energy can express itself, the uniqueness of each soul's experience. There's no correct way to embody your sexual, your sexuality or identity. There's a lot of throw me off, guys. Alright. And so just like two creative expressions are identical, no two identities are meant to be either. Uh, one of the biggest wounds in the sacral chakra is shame, especially around desire, pleasure, identity, and the body. Yes. Um low-key, this is a like right now. I feel a little guilty because I'm probably gonna go golf without my four-year-old. And he like, even though he's on the spectrum, he he loves to be out there.
SPEAKER_01But I'm like But guilt is the killer of joy. Yes, exactly. So it's the demon, because this is the joy chakra. This is the pleasure, the fun, the happy, the creative side. Um, but yeah, when you like, you know, that that's where polarity comes in because you have to have a balance with you can't be fun and happy and all the time. Like, you need to be able to still draw boundaries and you know, like specifically into like the sexuality side. I'm like, if you're excessive in this chakra, you're gonna be like a nymphomaniac versus if you're you know deficient, you're gonna have to low low b low bid yeah, libido. Oh my gosh, maybe they're most today. Um, but yeah, it's just important to be able to find the balance between those things because as much as like we want to live in this joy and pleasure, like there it's also not always appropriate to be there. You know what I mean? Like you have to be able to feel the full spectrum of your feelings, yeah, and we can parent between.
SPEAKER_00It is hard because like the the guilt that I was feeling is a total common thing for other parents around us, like they feel guilty for spending time away from their kids. Like it's hard. It that balance is hard, it really is hard, but um, it's something 2026 I'm working on because I do I do have to have that time, yeah. Um, many of us were taught directly or indirectly to hide parts of ourselves, to question what we feel, and to disconnect from our bodies, and over time that's gonna create numbness, confusion, and disconnection. Um so healing begins when we shift from judgment to curiosity, suppression into acceptance. So your identity doesn't have to look like anyone's else to be valid. The sacral chakra reminds us that our uniqueness isn't something to question, it's something to honor because the same energy that creates life also creates individuality. I love the sacral chakra. I do too. This is yeah, it's a good thing. Yeah, that was um, and I love that the like it's interesting because the chakras are like simple but not they are like they they're very simple, but you can dive so deep into this that actually it's very complex.
SPEAKER_01Like there's a lot to the chakra system.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and it yeah, I've learned a lot of a just the little bit of practice that I've had with it when I first started with the yoga teacher training, um, was life-changing. Like being able, like being it's hard now because I'm in my 30s and having to identify those feelings. But if I wouldn't have had the chakra system, I wouldn't be able to identify anything. I would still just only feel anger.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And that's not gonna serve me anywhere.
SPEAKER_01All right, Kimmy, do the note card. All right, yeah, let's go ahead and do our writing activity for today. So if you guys have a journal or a note card, sticky note, whatever you want to use, just go ahead and grab something to write on and to write with. If you need a pause and grab those things, feel free to do that now. And when you guys are ready, we're going to be answering three questions and then finishing a sentence together. So the first question that you're answering, what am I feeling right now? No judgment, just curiosity. What am I feeling right now? Are you angry? Are you annoyed? Are you bored? There's no right or wrong answer here. What feels right right now? Take some time to reflect, and then the second question that you're going to answer is what brings me joy or makes me feel alive? So reflecting on this pleasure. What makes you happy? This could be movement, it could be spending time with people, maybe it's spending time alone, maybe it's being outdoors in nature. Just what feels good? What makes you feel whole? Take as much time as you need to reflect on that. And then the third and final question that you'll be answering is where am I holding back in my life? Now, this could be you're holding back your own emotions, you're not allowing yourself to feel them. Um, maybe you're holding back in your creative flow. Maybe you haven't given yourself the time to tap into that creative energy. Um, maybe you're holding back your identity. Maybe there's a part of yourself that you haven't fully accepted yet. And that's okay. There's no rush, but just know that you're worthy of all the acceptance, regardless. Um, all right, and then we're going to finish this last sentence together. So this week I will allow myself to feel dot dot dot. Fill it in. I'll allow myself to feel what needs to be healed. What's, you know, maybe it's what all of my emotions. I haven't allowed myself to feel anything. Maybe it's allowing yourself to feel love. Maybe it's that connection that you're you're needing. Maybe you need to allow yourself to feel inspired, to feel that creative flow. Maybe you just need to allow yourself to feel fluid, to go with that flow. Whatever resonates, just use this intention or this sentence as your intention throughout the rest of your week. Make sure that you're able to allow yourself to feel this is the chakra of feelings of pleasure and joy, and make it a priority to bring more of that into your life because you deserve it.
SPEAKER_00All right. That was a great note card activity. Thanks, Kimmy. You're welcome. Um, we're gonna go into our guided meditation part now. Um, so go ahead, find a nice lying down position. Um, you can stay seated however feels best for you. Imagine you are sitting in a small boat. A canoe, perhaps. With each inhale that arrives, feel the sensation that you are floating on top of the water. With each exhale, you are drifting further and further from shore. Feel the vastness of the ocean below you. Now imagine that a wave rolls underneath you and rocks your boat. And then another and another. Feel them come and go, come and go, holding within them life's ever-changing nature. Think of the many waves of your life. Some have lulled you with their gentleness, their consistency, and comfort. While others have been giant, dragged down to sawmis that you nearly drowned in. All have integrated into the great big ocean that makes up the tapestry of you. You are each way, but you are also the entire ocean. Honor all that has brought you here. Tune in and ask yourself: Do I give myself permission to feel the fullness of all of my feelings in any given moment? Think of what you have stuffed inside or shoved away? What part of your emotional landscape is waiting to be acknowledged? On the other hand, ask yourself: what parts of the past am I clinging to? What am I ready to let go of? Place your hands on your lower belly. Feel the vulnerability of the position you're in, your body's expression of total openness. Ask yourself: Do I allow for pleasure in my life? And feel the space to listen. Now slowly bring your focus to your sacral chakra. Visualize a small point of light beginning to emerge at the center of your focus. As you maintain your focus, you see this light expanding, its dimensions beginning to grow. As you inhale, visualize that your breath is being drawn down your spine and into this brilliant orange orb. You note with each inhalation the ball of brilliant and vibrant orange expands, glowing brighter and becoming more vivid. You can see the vibrant orange energy swirling like waves flowing in a constant clockwise fashion. See the vivid orange waves, the vibrancy of this chakra pulsing, swirling, and radiating outwards as you balance the sacral chakra. Now inhale slowly and deeply. As you do, focus on your breath. See it, feel it, traveling down your spine and into your sacral chakra. As you exhale, visualize your breath now a vibrant orange traveling back up the spine and exiting through your crown. You are aware that as you exhale, the orange waves of energy from the chakra are also clearing any blocks and barriers in your life. As you balance the sacral chakra, you are releasing old behavioral patterns and emotions that no longer serve your higher good. Focus on your breath as it travels down your spine and into your sacral chakra. Visualize as you exhale the breath as a flowing stream, an orange river of energy washing away and clearing all blocks, negative emotions, and trauma. Sense the waves of energy from the sacral chakra washing away energetic blocks which no longer serve you. Now visualize the waves of vibrant orange energy spreading outward and filling your entire body. Visualize these waves of orange energy spreading, swirling, and filling your aura. See the beautiful orange energy flowing and filling you. Allow this warm orange energy to comfort you and bring you peace. I create my happiness. Start to deepen the breath, taking a nice deep breath in, and exhale out. If you are not already there, slowly start to make your way up to a seated position with eyes closed and hands at heart center. And before we close out today's podcast, we are going to chant the seed sound Vum together, taking an inhale.
