Ep 23: Achieving Impossible: With Heka the Great
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Heka The Great has been doing magic since he was 9. First paid gig at 11. By 26 he's performed for celebrities, built a real career out of something most people would've called a hobby, and on this episode he shows up to The Drive and does things that genuinely can't be explained.
We're talking cards, fire, a light bulb shattering, and then pulling a specific word out of someone's head from a random page in a random book. On camera. Unedited. The reactions say everything.
The conversation that happens around all of it is just as good. Mastering a craft. Failing in front of people and coming back from it. The connection between magic and sales. What belief actually looks like before the result shows up.
This is one of those episodes that's hard to describe. Just watch it.

Have you ever thought something was impossible until you experienced it? God knows I have. I've often said that a man or woman with an experience isn't at the mercy of a man or woman with an opinion. And you're about to see and experience some things today that perhaps you thought were impossible until you witness it, until it's live and in your face. You know, my business was like that. When I met this gentleman, it was like that. You will not want to miss this episode of the drive with Heka the Great.
SPEAKER_04Do you believe in magic? Okay, that might have been. Okay.
SPEAKER_05All right, folks. Welcome back in the driveway. This is our first take here. And uh my boy Hecca is in the house. I did not know you were gonna do that. I was gonna do a little singing intro. Uh, how the hell are you, stud? I'm doing great. Yeah, how you doing? I did not know you were gonna create that fire and just throw it up like that. Yeah, I'm sorry. I met you four years ago uh on Bourbon Street. Yes. And you were you were doing street magic. Yes. Some badass street magic. And look, man, you know, when we talk about magic, my son Kaden wanted to be a magician. And I was telling you, like, his little magic was this. You know what I mean? It's like we've seen that where you know, my thumb is gone or my index finger's gone. Bro, you astounded hundreds. Uh, and I kept your number. And over time, as our business has grown, as your business has grown, um, we we've just stayed in touch. And I thought it would be an order to have you here on the drive. Welcome to Santa Rosa.
SPEAKER_01Thank you so much. Yeah, second time here.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, man.
SPEAKER_01Okay, for my birthday, my 50th birthday.
SPEAKER_05Yes. You astounded folks, man. Just astounded folks. And I want to get into a little bit of of who you are. I know you've got some magic. You're going to perform live uh right here. Um you you told me you were nine years old when when you you kind of got bit by this magic bug that that is is not uh gone away. Talk about that.
SPEAKER_01Uh yeah, I did. Oh, okay. So, you know, when you're a kid, you just you're just curious about a whole lot of things, and magic is what drawn me into becoming who I am now, and that's what makes me feel the most alive. And here I am. Yeah, man. And that's how it's your first paid gig was at 11. Yes, my first paid gig was at 11 years old. Wow.
SPEAKER_05Look, you've performed for rappers, entertainers, actors. You were you were giving me a list of celebrities that that you had performed for, and you know, there's a confidentially confidentiality clause. I can say, I can say I'm yeah, I've been following not trying to get you in trouble, man. But it's all dude, it's just a here's my thing. I because I was telling my wife, I believe in magic, yeah um, because I do think it is an art. Uh I I do think that that you you are creating uh and and playing with the imagination, but at the same time, I think that a lot of sales, a lot of what I do in my business is an art. Some might say the the magic of selling, the art of taking someone that doesn't know they need a product and positioning and enlightening them to a need that they have, presenting a solution. And and is it presto changio or hocusp? That's not what that's not like say anymore, whatever. But holy shit! You will you walk out with a yes. Yeah, I've seen you do so much stuff, bro, that has just blown my freaking mind. Uh, could could you show our viewing audience just a little bit of why you're heck of the great?
SPEAKER_01Yes. Okay, so I'm gonna just get my feet a little wet. All right, so you all could see all the cards are different. Cards different, Craig? Yes, sir. Okay, and I just want you to just take anyone out. All right.
unknownThere it looks better.
SPEAKER_01That one? Yeah, look at it. Yeah, look at it. Oh, let me take this off. And show it to the camera. And make sure you look at it. Got it? Yes, sir. Put the card on your chest.
SPEAKER_00My chest? Yes. So I can't see it. Can I lick it? Because that way you'll stick to my chest or just yeah, just hold it against the chest.
SPEAKER_01I'm just holding it I can't see you. Yeah. Alright, so put it back for me.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_01The card is inside the decimal, right? I shelf it really good. You did? What color are the cards? Red. Red? Pay close attention.
SPEAKER_03Did you see that? Yes, sir. I saw fire above the cards. Yes. But look.
SPEAKER_01There is one card inside the deck. That is blue. Okay. And this blue card here. What was what was your card? Three of diamonds. And this is the only blue card inside the deck, right? Yes, sir. And he said the three of diamonds? It is. So all right, if we can keep our audio just a little quiet. I'm telling you, that's crazy. Yeah, let's try this. I'm gonna take the three of diamonds, right? Okay. And I'm gonna fold it up. Okay. So let's let's try this. You know what? I'm gonna fold it up just yeah, just like this. And some more. So I cannot get to it, right? I want you to take this card and put it inside your pocket. By my pocket, okay. Any target. Put it in the pocket that had the most money. All right. My wife's or my ex-wife's. Yeah. So it's inside your pocket, right? Yes, sir. Okay, and you all can see I didn't do nothing funny. It's all different. And that's the only blue card inside the deck, right? That's right. Okay. Matter of fact, you know what? Just take one out. Take one out. Right here? Matter of fact, you know what? Let's try this. Just say stop. Stop. Right here? Yep. And look at the card. Don't show me it. Top one? Yeah. Can I show me it? Show it to the audience. Stop it. Take your card, put it inside the deck. Any way you want to. And after that, I want you to shuffle.
SPEAKER_05Oh, you don't know, but I'm a great shuffler.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_05I've lost your gambled? Look, uh, look, gambling is for people that uh aren't as good at at being able to read people as I am. Okay. Oh. But I am a decent shuffler. All right. One more time through. One more time through for those that don't believe. Okay.
SPEAKER_02And and a cut. A cut, yeah. Okay, you go.
SPEAKER_01We did shuffle up the cards really good, though. You did it good. So, Craig, your card is inside the deck, right? Yes, sir. There is no way I know what your card is. No, you do not. And you put it inside any way you wanted to. And you shuffled, right? Correct. Did you see that?
SPEAKER_05I gotta be honest, I kind of saw something move a little bit.
SPEAKER_01Maybe it was just my look at the top card.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_01That's not it?
SPEAKER_05That's not it, boss. I promise. You know what I love you? I can't. I I I I go help you here. You know what's up.
SPEAKER_03Did you feel that? Yes, sir. I did.
SPEAKER_01What card was your first card? Three of diamonds was the first card. The three of diamonds, right? Correct. And it's been in your pocket. My pockets all the time.
SPEAKER_03Take it out.
SPEAKER_05I really like you. I got guns over here, man. I got kids in the house, man. Fucking. I'm so we're not supposed to say it happened. Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_04It's the nine of spades.
SPEAKER_05Dude, okay. Ladies and gentlemen, I swear to God, I put the three diamonds in here, bro. What's wrong with you, man? What's wrong with you? Lord and mercy. When am I gonna die? When am I gonna die? Can you tell me when I'm gonna die? I'd love to know. Don't tell me. Don't tell me. No, no, I'm not. Yeah. Holy shit, man. That is powerful. Okay, so all right, I gotta compose myself. Forgive us for the curse words that we said. I want to keep them in, though. I want to keep them in. Uh because it is amazing. How long did this effect take you to master? This particular one? To perfect.
SPEAKER_01Yes, sir. It took me years. It took years.
SPEAKER_02I hope so. I would have hoped you said that.
SPEAKER_01It took years.
SPEAKER_05Because, you know, when we when we when we do things in life, when we do things, when we're able to make the impossible become possible.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_05And I shit not.
SPEAKER_01Yes, sir. But look, you know, the word impossible, if you take it, it says I'm possible. I am possible.
SPEAKER_02Really?
SPEAKER_05Yes.
SPEAKER_02Wow. I should have known that.
SPEAKER_05I thought I was. Yeah. Heck of the great. Giving me an English lesson here on the drive. Bro, I put the three of diamonds in here.
SPEAKER_04And it was red. And this this is this is the nine of spades.
SPEAKER_05I'm look, I'm I'm I'm I'm shocked. Uh I'm shocked. That's un unbelievable. Uh where do you where do you think this journey, this is this journey of imagination, this journey of I'm not gonna say hallucination, but but at the same time, I've gone to performances before. I remember going to a Chris Angel uh event and just leaving and just feeling just so alive, like wow, look at what just transpired, look at what took place. I said in the beginning, I I believe that magic is real. I believe that people over time, over years, can do things that can create realities that if somebody would have told me that I'd be sitting here making the amount of money, having the the lifestyle that I've got, growing up in a trailer, okay, having two great parents, but but having to you know put myself through college, pay for my own first wedding, bought my own, or excuse me, my first wife's wedding dress. Nobody else could do it. 250 bucks, by the way, is what we paid for that wedding dress, all the way to here, we're we're we're we're where hard work has brought us. And obviously, you know, the man upstairs has helped. But again, it just it just shows you what is possible if you're willing to invest, if you're willing to do what others aren't willing to do, you can make magic happen. You can make it happen, you can make it happen. Some people think what I've done is magic. Yeah, they knew me. They're like, That's some bitch, that Harvey, that Craig? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Movo, this one right here. And and and and you're you're doing the same thing, man. You got something else for us? What you got? Yes, and I appreciate you for that.
SPEAKER_01All right, so yeah, boom. No, let's try this. I'm gonna get inside. I'm keeping this out. I'm gonna get inside your mind. All right.
SPEAKER_05Just stay in here. I'm gonna get inside your mind. You get inside my mind, man. Trust me. You get inside this brain. This brain is rock solid, is clamped. You think I can't? Listen, man, I'm I'm an intelligent individual, okay?
SPEAKER_01Okay, why do you think I can't get inside your mind?
SPEAKER_05Well, you start staring at me like that. Now I'm starting to doubt myself, but I still believe you can't because I'm I just uh as much as I love you, bro. I gotta keep us real for my viewing audience, right? Gotta keep us real for my viewing audience. So we'll see. And you say you do have a good imagination, right? Tremendous imagination. I really do. That's one of my gifts, one of my superpowers.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so this is what I want you to do, Craig. I want you to close your eyes. Close them.
SPEAKER_05You know, I'm down with this hypnotism shit. Like if you're trying to hypnotize me, bro. We're a wasted airtime, but I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna play along. Okay, here I go. Close your eyes.
SPEAKER_01Okay, you are and I want you to think of a state inside your mind. You got that state? Yes, sir. Okay, and I just have you been to this state that you are thinking of. Absolutely. You have, and I just want you to imagine.
SPEAKER_05Now you gotta remember, let me just so bias and say our company's in 46 states. Okay. So I've been to a lot of damn states. But yes, sir, I just wanted to say that. Yes.
SPEAKER_01This is a state I've been to. Okay, so I just want you to imagine that you are flying to that state, okay? And imagine, just imagine what you would be doing inside that state. Okay? Open up your eyes and look at me. Think of the full name of the state.
SPEAKER_03What was this thing you were thinking of? Washington. Washington? Washington Pacific Northwest, up north.
SPEAKER_05Wow. How fuck did you know that, man?
SPEAKER_04How did you know that, man?
SPEAKER_05How did you know that?
SPEAKER_01Boy. What's real can't be explained.
SPEAKER_05Folks, I'm telling you, uh, we're not staging anything. Uh we haven't, we have have we talked about we I we haven't talked about any of this. No, we I've said, hey, maybe you could I've got a list of questions I'd like to answer with, but damn, son, that's um that's amazing. That that I I don't I don't get amazed often. Um that that's that's incredible. This dude, the mentalist, uh Oz. What's his name?
SPEAKER_01Uh yeah, Oz the um Oz Perman. Yeah. Oz the mentalist, yeah. What's up with that guy, man? Oh, him? He's uh possessed? Is the devil side of it? No, I don't know where he'll go on now. I have no idea. I don't have no idea. You know, us magicians, we have different different rituals and things that we doing. So it may look the same, but it's different. So every every magician has their own techniques that they do.
SPEAKER_05So so when we talked, uh and I called you and said, Hey, could you come on the drive? Yeah. And you were like, what is that? And I'm like, dude, I got this podcast, it's about insurance, but it's also about life and it's sales. And and I I do I do see, at least I see, uh you have to sell people on your magic. Yes. A lot of people come to your shows, they come to your events, and and they probably don't believe. They probably go, like when I go into homes, when I'm sitting with a client, when I'm sitting with someone that's a potential buyer, and they say, There's no damn way I'm buying, forget it. I don't believe. Would you agree with me that in order to pay, you have to believe? Think about it. In order, in order to, we do insurance. So if you're going to purchase a policy upon which the time you expire, transition to the next life, monies that that you have insured and and paid a premium on, transfer to the most important person in your life. We go into homes all the time that they're like, there's no way I'm going to say yes. But they leave or we leave, and the clients like hugging us, thanking us, you know, feeding us, you know, inviting us to things. I think that's probably the same way people are when they come to some of your effects.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because it's it's it's life-changing. Because some people don't believe it at first, but like just like how you didn't believe it. Well, I'm not gonna say you didn't believe it. Just like when I didn't believe it, I was yeah, well, yeah, well, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Listen, listen, dude, you wouldn't know this. We we've talked five times. Yeah. In our four? How many times?
SPEAKER_01Uh probably three or four times. Yeah, three or four times. You were gonna come to the wedding and come to the wedding, yeah. I remember when you called me that night. You was like, Look, dude. Bring your eight game.
SPEAKER_05But but but but uh Alex Alex nixed it. She's like, Where are we gonna where are we gonna put him? Should have she's like, he's gonna steal the show, baby. I'm the show. Yes, ma'am, you are. Shout out to my love. Um, with with that being said, I dude, I my dad pastored a church in Seattle, Washington when I was a little boy. And I mean, you think about states I'd been to. He also pastored Indiana, but way up there, the Pacific Northwest. What in the hell? Here's what I would say. You you you said this. You didn't, you weren't born the way you are now. You you uh have developed yourself, you have worked your craft. Uh, you have outworked other magicians that wanted to be as good. Hell, maybe, maybe they were born with more talent, but it's not always the size of the dog in the fight. Yeah. So often it's the size of the fight inside your heart. Inside your heart, inside that dog. And so when you're willing to commit yourself to your craft, to your presentation, these are presentations. Yes. What you're showing us right now. These effects are presentations. And the better of a presenter that you are, the more yeses you get, the bigger your audience grows. Yeah. God knows I know about that. You didn't you didn't know I lived here, dude. You didn't know about that.
SPEAKER_01Nah, I didn't know that.
SPEAKER_05Nah, I you didn't you didn't know insurance could do this, did you?
SPEAKER_01Nah.
SPEAKER_05Well, I um maybe if somebody dies, it leaves them, you know, million or something, but not build it from the ground up, man. Look, there's a humble gratitude that I have, and I I just see uh I see such a high ceiling in you. Thank you. I've always wanted to be a part of dudes' lives and women's lives and people's lives that I just thought can really go somewhere, you know, and just have this microscopic um, you know, just just part in that. Um you're probably not even ready for that. I saw you the I don't know where you're going. I've just seen you do two or three things that almost make me wet my pants, man. That's why I wore dark uh the this this dark cloth that afternoon, man.
SPEAKER_04You dude, you've done some shit that I still don't get.
SPEAKER_05And uh, do you have something else for our viewing audience? Yes, I do. All right. Okay, let's see.
SPEAKER_01Uh let's do this. Okay, I have a light bulb here, okay? And I want you to check it out. Make sure it's a real light bulb. All right. Yeah. I was gonna tell you to give me yours out of the uh out of that lamp. That's why I was looking over there.
SPEAKER_05It's a definitively a real light bulb.
SPEAKER_02It's a real light bulb, right? Yes, sir.
SPEAKER_01Promise. Okay. You can put it on the table. And I want you to check out the bag. Examine it. We're gonna need that later.
SPEAKER_02It's normal bag. Hey, open it up, easy. Yeah. Straight. It's just a normal bag, man.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. Open it up. Okay, yep. Good. Yep. Okay, so we get that.
SPEAKER_05Dude, you make this fucking light someone, we're gonna like throw you off the roof. Okay, or you probably need to light throw us off the roof. I don't know what you're gonna do at this point. Jesus Lord. Okay, let's do this. I'm gonna do I'm going back to church. Okay, this is this is God getting me back to a place where what are you doing, bro?
SPEAKER_01So I'm gonna put the uh because it need to be isolated. Because what I'm about to do is I'm trying to get the clip on.
SPEAKER_06Okay, there you go. Oh, that's what you're doing. Oh, you're just sealing it.
SPEAKER_03You're sealing it. Yeah, I'm trying to seal it. You want me to help you? Can I help you hold it? Or just hold it or nail it?
SPEAKER_05If that's what if you're just trying to seal it, shit, that's that's not a problem.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, I'm just 'cause what's about to happen is it's gonna, yeah, this is gonna be dangerous. So we need this sealed dangerous.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's dangerous. You know, it's so funny as he's as he's as he's figuring this out and talking about this. There's so many different steps. I know, I know in in in my career, some of them have come easier than others. Some effects, some uh aspects of uh again, I remember the first time I hit a million dollars in a year. That was easy. Hitting two million was more difficult. Can I tell you this? Getting to 4 million in a year was simple. Again, 1 million was easy, 4 million was easy. But that two million march was so hard. And and it's just maybe it's the way we're wired, maybe it's where our skill set lies. Maybe it's the diversification of what you've got to do in a business standpoint of where you are with the people that you've got. But I could just tell you, looking back, getting to a million, it it was it was steady work. It wasn't given, it was earned. But then that grind to two million was like, oh, but then once we got there, infrastructure was so great. That ride to four million in a year was easy. Dude, that was that was like two million. You just trying to make sure it's sealed up.
SPEAKER_01All right. You won't go see it. It's sealed, right? Because what started happening is I don't need it's gonna be a uh problem sold. All right, let's see this. Matter of fact, let me see your hand. I want you to hold on to the light bulb just like this. Right. Yeah, and you can see that, right? Yeah, make sure. You can see that? Yes, sir. I want you to focus on the light bulb. Focus on it. Focus. I was just trying to get glass everywhere. No. Look at it, isn't it? Is it really vocal? Yes, man.
SPEAKER_05Okay, all right. Um there's no pauses here on the drive, but I'll tell you, that was that was nuts, bro. How did you do that?
SPEAKER_01It's a mind down.
SPEAKER_05Wow. Wow. I mean, shit, you don't think it gets shattered. Yeah, yeah. I guess if you concentrate enough, yeah, dude. That's uh that's incredible. I did not think you were doing you were doing that, or or being able to was dangerous.
SPEAKER_01That's why I was trying to yeah, seal it up. Gosh, oh my.
SPEAKER_05Okay, I would a little bit of composure here for me. I that would I I did not expect that. I didn't I didn't know what you were doing, but that's pretty uh that's that's that's that's pretty freaking amazing. Um, you know, we've got I don't know, some 40 uh 42, 40, maybe three individuals at our company that have made a million dollars in one year.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_05Now a lot of them have made 10 to 15, maybe 20 million over the life of their their journey, because some of them have been here, you know, 10 years, uh 15 years, and now they they've they they've gone on to higher, higher levels. Um and I think if you were to ask them, they would tell you the same way I just said, there's no damn way you just broke a light bulb in front of me by by I I don't even like I I was just holding it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you were holding it, yeah.
SPEAKER_05I I still don't know how the fuck I mean, dude, I can I'm sorry. This is our cursing episode. We'll have to put a 21 and older uh explicit. I'm just telling you, that's you didn't do anything to it, but it's not yeah, it just sealed it up. It happened, and I just I say that to say for those of us that are chasing a financial dream, seeing other people, seeing this, experiencing the experiencing this right here, dude, it just lay it just it raises your belief level. It it it creates this uh this this um the stretch of your imagination. And it's so funny that I say that because I've talked to so many people about stretching their imagination. Yes. Believing in yourself to do more, believing in yourself to go higher, believing in yourself to earn more, to build more. There's more in you than you realize. I love the great Ralph Waldo Emerson who talked about not dying with your music inside you. In the same way, young man, I'm 50. And you're you're I know how old you are. I won't tell our viewing audience unless you want to tell. I'm 26. 26. I can be your dad. Yeah, the dad, okay. She would have been a beautiful African-American woman, okay? Creating you. With that being said, I've often said, I haven't hired my greatest agent. You haven't done your greatest trick. I haven't. Your effect. You haven't had your greatest stage. And always living with that that that that optimistic mentality that the greatest days are before us and and keeping that open heart and open mind of believing and just just being able to stretch yourself. Yes. Just puts you in places you never thought you'd be.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. And well, from the very beginning, I knew what I wanted. When I first started Magic. I knew that I wanted to have a big magic show. I wanted to be on TV, I wanted to be famous, I knew all of those things. And you know, you can have talent, but you have to have hustle with talent. So if you're not hungry, because if you're not you, if you're not hungry enough to go get it, you you're not gonna get nowhere with your talent. Yeah, yeah. So I just knew why I wanted. And so that's why I performed and performed, made different connections, just like how I met you.
SPEAKER_05Let me ask you this, uh and look, again, I know you've got a huge following. Your Instagram and your uh your your your social media presence is astounding. We've cussed a lot on this, on this, on the raw stats, uh King Tuck, who is our producer. Let me just go ahead and keep it up. Have you ever fucked up in magic? Dude, I so I've fucked up before, man, in a in a presentation where I've you know, miss are I fucked up on stage giving a uh a talk in front of thousands, dude, and you just feel like that kid who has a dream and he's in his underus, right? And and and he's standing up at the chalkboard, you know, we've all had that that that weird dream where we're in second grade or whatever. And it you it's it's the worst feeling in the world for things to not go the way you wanted them to go. Generally speaking, when that happens, I wasn't prepared. I had not practiced enough. I I had not put forth the initial effort enough to make sure that that shit didn't happen. Has that ever happened to you? Yes, I have. And that feeling in the pit of your stomach and that look on other people's face, that embarrassment that you felt, because I felt the same way, pushes you to make sure it never freaking happens again.
SPEAKER_01And it makes you do greater, it makes you be greater and do greater. I have messed up, but I don't know if other folks knew I messed up, but I curved it.
SPEAKER_05You saved yourself.
SPEAKER_01I saved myself, yeah. I did, I did.
SPEAKER_05The greats, we're here with heck of the great. Uh we are our worst critics for a great reason. I've talked often about accountability. No one can hold you more accountable than yourself. Yourself. That's right. And if you have to have somebody coming alongside you, your brother is here. Uh, shout out to Jay uh Jay Boz. Yeah. Did I say it right? Yeah, yeah, you said it. Practice that. Nailed it. Jay Boz. Uh just a just a stud in his own right. Um, if he's got to hold you accountable, man, you don't want it as bad as as you could or you should. And the thing about accountability to me is that there is a level of of relentlessness that we put our our own selves through that no one else can expose us to. Because we only know what we're capable of. We know what it is, it is our maximum capacity and what a 10, so to speak, in the realm of effort looks like to us. And it sounds like uh you you've held yourself accountable.
SPEAKER_06Yes.
SPEAKER_05So nobody else had to. How about your family, man? Do they think you were like crazy? Like, man, what the hell are you doing?
SPEAKER_01I would say, okay, so my yeah, my mom, when I first showed her my first uh effect, she was amazed. She was like, because she was sweeping at the time, she was cleaning up, and she was like, Boy, how you did that? I was like, I can't tell you, mom.
SPEAKER_05Magicians ever reveal their second, that's right.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and my mom, she supported me, and um just you know, she supported my vision. She was like, you know what, you want to do this, you got it. Because the household that I grew up in, we were always like my mom, mom, my mom, she's strict. Okay, so she was so strict that if me and my buddy was to play on a video game, we get 30 minutes. That's it. So I grew up in a creative household and um entrepreneurial background. So my mom always said that do for yourself. Don't work for nobody, do for yourself.
SPEAKER_05I gotta I gotta tell you, bro, I gotta come in here. So you're here, uh, for those of you that don't know that tune into the drive. This is at my residence here in Santa Rosa. So when I told Alex you're you're you're coming here and your brother, she's like, baby, we don't know. Now she, you know, she's from New York, uh Rochester and Miami. Okay. So she's not a Southern bell, okay. She's a northern hammer. All right. And so she's like, What the hell? We and I was like, baby, I I've been a deserner of people. I've I've hired probably 20,000 people, either directly or indirectly, in my career. And there's just there's there's a genuineness about this young man. There's an authenticity about this young man that I I trust him here. My little boy Rockford, who you met this morning, who just adores you, uh, 21 months old, about 20, about to be 23 months old, uh, was just say, hecka, hecka, hecka, hecka, yeah. Yeah, man. So so in the time we've got left, uh, is there anything else you want you want us to see? I mean, look, here's what I know. When I was talking to you, you're like, Harvey, I am transitioning more into corporate. Uh you're doing some huge things. Uh again, I I don't want to put your business out there that that that's for you uh to do, but I know a lot of uh individuals would probably want to get in touch with you if they wanted to do that how secondarily. But what's next for Heck of the Great?
SPEAKER_01What's next for me is to be internationally um known and to have my own show, my own stage show in New Orleans.
SPEAKER_03So that's what I'm working on right now. Can I get some tickets?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, sure. I got you. I got you. I can buy them. I'll buy you always charge. It's like a lawyer. Don't ever give the time away. But of course you can. There's a cost to them. You know, if I'm not gonna charge him, man.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05So you tell me, you want to show us one more effect, or or can I get us out on this last thing? Totally up to you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, sure. What are your thoughts? Yeah, let's do it. Let's go.
SPEAKER_05I know while he's getting this ready, a lot of you are like, dude, y'all don't know me. Trust me, those of you that know me know I don't put up with that bullshit. Like, I'm not I'm not giving him a damn thing. We we've got a we've got a uh an audience here. There's no setup to this. This is not any way fake or staged. Uh, this is real. And uh again, a lot of people in our business have thought when they've seen me present or other great presenters present, that had to be staged. No, you had to have known that female, that that Miss Johnson had to have known you were coming. No, dumbass, we knocked on their door. They had no clue. They didn't even know what they needed until we showed them something. They they their eyes opened, they believed, they bought, and they were so thankful for the time that they spent. That's how a lot of your uh your audience feels, isn't it? Yes. Yeah. They they don't believe it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05It was good. What you got for us?
SPEAKER_01All right, so Craig, I want you to take the book here. Okay, and I want you to make sure it's a normal book, make sure all the page all the words and pages are different.
SPEAKER_06Yep. Rumble in the setting. Everything's different. Completely perfect, yes, sir.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so close. Hold on to the book. Okay. I'm gonna turn my head, okay? And when I turn my head, I want you to open up the book and go to any page you want to. Okay? Yes, sir. All right. And just tell me when you got a page, but I want you to hold the book up. Hold it up to your chest so I can't see the page you want.
SPEAKER_05I like this one.
SPEAKER_01You like it?
SPEAKER_05I like where I'm at.
SPEAKER_01You want to stick with it?
SPEAKER_05Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01Or do you want to change it?
SPEAKER_05I like where I'm at.
SPEAKER_01You committed?
SPEAKER_05Committed. Pop committed.
SPEAKER_01Alright. So the page that you are on, I want you to memorize one word out on the page that you are on.
SPEAKER_05One word on the page that I'm on?
SPEAKER_01Yes. I want you to pick a long word. Something, so something over like nine letters, something I can't easily guess.
SPEAKER_05Got it.
SPEAKER_01You got it? Done. Close up the book. Don't let me see it. Okay, perfect. It's closed. Mm-hmm. Okay. We'll take the book back. Okay, Craig. Let's see this. Do you have a good imagination? I do. You do? Okay, I want you to close your eyes. And I want you to imagine that you are going to a library, okay? And you find a dictionary, and you open up that dictionary, and you find a word that starts with the first letter of the word that you've seen inside the book that you had in your hand. Not not the word of the book. Not the word in the book, but a different word. Um that start with the first that start with the the same letter. I got it. I got it. You got it? I got it. Okay. Uh, what would that word be? Jealous. Jealous? Okay, open up your eyes. So you do have a good imagination. Can you think of another word?
SPEAKER_02Yes, sir.
SPEAKER_01All right, say it. Jackal. Jackal? Okay. Can you think of another word? Yes, sir. I'm just trying to say how quick you think. That's it.
unknownAll right.
SPEAKER_01Justification. Justification. Okay, so you think quick, right? Yep. Sometimes. Sometimes. All right. Let's let's let's try this. There's no way you're getting this word, bro. It's gonna be kind of like deja vu, okay? Close your eyes. I want you to rewind back. Rewind back when I gave you the book, when I handed you, handed you the book, and when you opened up the book and you looked at that word. Okay? And I want you, yeah, look, look at me, look at me, look at me. I'm gonna see through your eyes. It's gonna be like kind of like back in time. We're gonna go. Let me see. Uh say say it in your say say the word inside your head that you see inside the book. Say it in your head. Say say it louder. Louder. Louder.
SPEAKER_02Jack Hammer. Jack Hammer, Jack Hammer.
SPEAKER_05I got ten grannies not coming up with this. Look, there's folks. That's a book. I gave you J's. That was page 190 of that book, by the way. There were multiple words on it. I mean, it's ladies and gentlemen. I hope you enjoyed this edition with Hecca the Great, which proves to us all anything can be accomplished if you're willing to put in the work and and blow people's minds, sometimes uh even the hosts. Thank you for tuning in to the drive.
