SPEAKER_00What's up, everybody? Grant Wise here. Welcome back to the Partner Profit Podcast. Excited for my conversation today with a very dear friend, Mr. Isaiah Colton. Isaiah, what up, man? Thanks for being here.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, absolutely. It's good to be back with you. It's been probably over a year, year and a half since last time we did a podcast together. So I'm excited to catch up with you.
SPEAKER_00And yeah, I think it's been more than that. I think it's been like two years, two and a half years.
SPEAKER_01Was it two? Is it already been two years? It's crazy. Yeah, it's insane.
SPEAKER_00So for people that are listening to this and maybe don't know much about you, give them some of the backstory. How'd you get to where you are today?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so for 14-year track record in real estate. I was uh fortunate to build an independent brokerage with two partners up to about 200 agents and then another 700 agent agent partners. And then um in 2019, I had an opportunity to exit, was blessed to have a life-changing event. And then I started up an AI-powered digital marketing consulting firm. And that's been largely the focus over the past, you know, since 2019, 2020. Fast forward today, we're heavily focused on creating agentic AI agents for different use cases, like helping real estate teams, brokers, business owners generate leads, and then having an agentic AI agent partner with the lead generation agent to convert those leads and then essentially look at the entire operation to say, where can an AI agent uh gain operational efficiency? So we're we're we're not talking about AI tools, we're talking about an actual AI agent or AI employee going to do specific tasks in an autonomous way. And so really excited about that. It's it's been one of the funnest projects that I've ever worked on, one of the most challenging ones, but also one of the one of the funnest projects. And, you know, kind of our core mission is to, you know, with it within three pillars, lead generation, lead conversion, and then operational efficiency. But really, I think grant, the most exciting thing for me is for the first time in history is the average business owner is not constrained by the time, money, or energy that they have, the resources that they have, that constraint is being lifted, and every month it's getting better and better, uh, you know, for for the cost of which you can do it. And I just think about when I first started my business, there were so many constraints, right? It's like even though you worked out an 80-hour work week, you still like you could never get get enough done. And and now I can have an AI employee go on to LinkedIn and send out a thousand messages for me and do it 100% legally as if I was on my own computer. I get like that would it that would take me, you know, three days, five days to do or something. So anyway, so that's that's what the world that I'm living in, and I'm blessed and blessed and fortunate to be speaking and coaching on AI all across the country and networking with awesome people like you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's awesome, man. It is very exciting. I think you know, my primary use case for AI is a lot of the development that we do from a technology standpoint, and it is unbelievable how much faster we're doing things, how much better the product is, just how quick we can work through a roadmap. It's kind of insane.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it it really is.
SPEAKER_00So when we look at this, you know, we're talking about, you know, how do we turn relationships into revenue? I'm very interested in your perspective on relationship development in the age of AI.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think what's interesting is there's two different worlds that people are living in. One one is they're super sensitive to their relationships, and so they haven't actually allowed AI to take over the relationships, whether that be through calling through their database, whether that be through handling service and support and you know, some some of the basic functions. And there are certain use cases where if AI is not properly trained and programmed or abused, it actually can like annoy people or like you know get create a negative effect potentially. So that's a that is a real conversation that's happening within our community, is people that just don't know what they're doing, or they're they're just they're training the AI agent to lie, like uh in certain use cases. You know, you always have the the people that kind of ruin it for these other people that were already a little bit skeptical of AI. So they're seeing those different things. Maybe they had an experience with a company like that, and so now they're just kind of sitting on the sidelines saying, hey, I don't want AI engaging with important relationships or future relationships in you know in our business. And I'm not gonna sit here and say that even what we do, we don't run into some scenarios where that where our AI agents decide to like, because they're acting autonomously now, and so sometimes they make a decision that's a little bit off track, right? And it's like and it's like, why did it do that? And it's and it's and and that does happen even in our world. But one of the things that I would say is that if you're working with an ethical company, a credible company, and one that's that trains the AI just to, you know, come out and say, Hey, I'm an AI digital assistant, not pretend like it's a human. It just you know, come out and just be authentically real with what it is. We're seeing such amazing use cases. Like uh give an example. We have one of our clients that they're a B2B coaching company and they run big events like virtual events, and they generated like 300 leads from this virtual event. And normally to monetize those relationships, maybe they'd do like an email marketing campaign. They'd have maybe their sales team follow up and hope to get some appointments or whatever it may be. But we trained uh we trained an AI an agentic AI agent to do a very specific campaign, have a very specific dialogue. It was really interesting. It made 671 calls in two hours, and then in that two hours of making the 671 phone calls, it generated seven appointments, status 12 callbacks for other humans to like call back, or in the future it will be able to call back. It's not quite there yet, but it will be there. And but what was even more interesting is it generated, I think it was 23 or 24 inbound calls just from the pure volume of calls that were missed. So, in other words, these people saw a missed phone call, were curious, and had those in those 23 calls, all this is all within two and a half, three hours, right? Maybe four hours total, another 20 inbound phone calls to the salespeople. Now, the AI agent could take that call, this particular use case, they're choosing to have the salespeople take that inbound call when they missed a call and call back. And they got another like I think three or four appointments. And so if you looked at the call per appointment use case, we're talking about seven dollars, five to seven dollars an appointment in this specific use case compared to if I was to have an inside sales rep or an outbound caller monetize those relationships that from the event that could easily be somewhere between a hundred to two hundred dollars, depending on the list quality and the quality of the inside sales agent. And so you're talking about reducing the costs in a dramatic way, increasing the sales team's ability to be able to perform at a high level because they're spending their time working warmer stuff. So their dollar per hour average goes up, and you're decreasing the cost of sale kind of all at the same time with this agentic AI sales agent. That's one major like I've been hyper focused on that for about two years, and we've we've got some deep deep neuro neuroscience of persuasion built into it. And like I said, we try to train it with the utmost integrity. Not every company does that. Like sometimes I purposely sign up to all these other companies, and it's really funny. Some of them, I'm not gonna say any names, but some of them will flat out be like when the person will ask, they'll be like, Hey, are you an AI, are you a human? Right? And it'll be like, Oh yeah, I'm a human. And it's like straight up like they training it to lie, and it's just like, yeah, and that's just unfortunate, right? Because you know, it ruin it's it ruins it for the people that are trying to do it the right way.
SPEAKER_00Why do you think that that matters so much in an AI conversation?
SPEAKER_01Well, what we found when you know we listen to a a ton of calls, right? And we have another AI agent that analyzes the calls and trains trains the AI sales agent, right? F as it's listening to the calls. And what we found is two things happen. They either don't want to talk to an AI agent, right? And that happens. Just like, but what we tell people is like people don't want to talk to a salesperson either when they make a call sometimes. Like we think that, oh, oh, it's an AI agent. They don't so like you know that you get that. They're like not interested. So that there's that camp. And what's really interesting is there's such a a larger group of people that when you authentically call and say, I'm an AI agent calling on behalf of and they hear how good it sounds, they lean in and they're like, You're an you're AI? Like, wow, you like, and then they start asking it questions and they they kind of develop a unique relationship and tell it things that they probably wouldn't tell a human. And so because of that, it creates this this unique dynamic and unique opportunity to build a relationship in a unique way that most companies just haven't found a way to tap into yet. And so I think that's why it matters, is the why the authenticity matters is because you're always gonna get rejection. You're always gonna get people that say you're not they're not interested anyway, but because of the sheer volume and consistency of the AI and how it gets better over time, plus the uh layered on the authenticity, it leads to good results.
SPEAKER_00That's very interesting. You know, real estate is mostly a relationship-based business. And I think what I hear you saying is AI is really enhancing the relationships that people can have as opposed to, you know, a lot of people would say, like, don't automate your way out of relationship with a customer, and you've got you've got a different perspective.
SPEAKER_01In today's environment, we have a strong conviction of having an AI-powered real estate team. And what that means, it's a it's AI-powered real estate with humans, with uh still a very strong human touch, right? Where kind of the AI is just the first line of defense, if you will. And it can actually enhance the experience because, like, if we're being real, you and I have been in the lead generation business for a long time, and we know how horrible lead follow-up is within like real estate teams, right? You want to talk about like turning relationships into profits. Well, if you're spending money on leads and these leads are coming in and they only get called once, what is that doing to build the relationship? What is that doing to show that you actually can provide a good service if you can't even follow up properly on your new leads within a timely fashion? Right? Or other use cases where maybe there was good conversations that were had and now they fall dead on the vine because nobody's paying attention and taking those 100 conversations that were had in the past that said call me in 90 days, and they legit wanted a callback in 90 days, right? And nobody's calling them back. Like, what does that do to your brand? We don't think it does anything because we can't see it, right? But the reality is that I'd rather have an AI agent that's gonna do that consistently every time than not get a call back at all.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, 100%. I'm sure you probably have stats and data on this, like where you've got people that you've worked with pre your AI process and philosophy and injection, and then people post. Can you can you kind of share some stories of of how this has impacted people's businesses?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think the big thing is uh I want to say this largely depends on the list that that the AI we've seen that just like a human being, right? If it's a bad list, the outcome's not going to be as good compared to if it's a warm list, compared to if it's a hot list, or what we call in our industry A, B, C, or D, right? And so looking at use cases of of like being on the front, you know, the front line, we train the AI agent to do an initial peaking of interest, and then we we recommend that, you know, we recommend the agent steps in or the real estate team steps in after that and takes over the relationship. We have found in that use case it works the best right now than the AI agent trying to go too far down into the weeds of the conversation. Now that's gonna change in the future, right? But that's why we say an AI-powered real estate team, because we found the conversion works the best when the two when the AI is working lock and step with the actual real estate team, if that makes sense. And so when that comes together and you and essentially the AI is doing the frontline customer service stuff or the frontline prospecting, but then quickly turns it over to a realtor or to an agent at at the appropriate time, that's when the use cases are the best. And so some specific examples. Uh, we have uh an agent out of Utah, she has a database of probably like 20,000 leads that she's generated over the course of like 10, 12 years, et cetera. And so we like to do phase one, phase two, phase three. So she's phase one is really the build out and the optimization of the AI agent and the workflows, and then phase two is analyzing results, and then phase three is starting to scale it. So she's gone from the build out to now she's in phase two where we're optimizing, which we like to see about a thousand leads at a time being worked by the AI agent in the in phase two. She's probably getting one to two transfers a day off of leads that would normally be just sitting dead in her database. And one one interesting story that she just she told on when I actually did a podcast with her is she was at in Sam's Club and she's getting ready for an open house, and then the the AI agent did a whisper mode in her ear and was like, Hey, you know, so-and-so wants to talk to you about selling their house, said the time frame, whatever, and then transferred it over. And while she's in Sam's Club, she set up a $1.2 million listing appointment in Sam's Club. I liked how she articulated the story though, because she is saying that she had the scenario where like she was able to go do what she needed to do for her open house, but she doesn't know if she'd ever get to that lead first and foremost. But if she did, she calculated it takes her about two hours or three hours based on her skill level to find a quality opportunity. And so she was able to bring that time back, plus the leverage of being able to get ready for the open house. And so the the time and opportunity cost on stories like that is really is really interesting to me, those case studies. So a lot of it goes back to the quality of the list. You know, there's other scenarios where I'll be up front with you, Grant, they'll come on board and they haven't generated a new lead in their database for you know two years, right? Because they just stopped paying for lead generation. And they give us a you know, they give you give us a lead list of two years, two-year-old leads that you know haven't been scrubbed, haven't been properly taken care of. There's no relationship at all that that haven't been doing any email marketing, right? No, you know, you you're not getting that kind of results. It's yeah, because you wouldn't get that with the best human on the planet, right? Right. Like that calling them. And yeah, you're gonna be lucky to get maybe maybe like 10% of them converted into a positive response normally, some sort of response out of the thousand. You're lucky to get maybe one one to three percent, you know, to generate some sort of positive response. So those are those are the interesting case studies that we've been kind of uncovering. And now we're moving to email, you know, the AI agentic aim, you know, doing email, you know, doing text, which is very fun, SMS, uh stuff like that.
SPEAKER_00In the process of rolling out a tool that we've developed called Partner Finder, and essentially it's an agentic AI that we've built that can call text or email potential partners to you know put the deals together. It's really cool. Like it's it is really cool. I'm I'm I'm a big fan of just like the work because all I've done is taken my manual workflow that I've been doing for the last three years, and then here's here you go. Like here's the the workflow, here's the system, here's the script, here's everything that we've done. And then so it's just literally repeating what I've done, and it's so cool. I I love it a lot. It's pretty awesome. I love that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's a really great idea because I'm sure I'm sure in your community the development of the partner relationships is a huge component of what you're doing, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's massive and it's also very time consuming. So we're just trying to bring the partnerships to the table so then the two parties can like hit it off and and actually start working together. I'm pretty excited about it because it's not necessarily something that it's not an it's not like a a part of the business that many people are paying attention to. And so we've kind of got a cool little blue ocean that we can play into to make it all work. I'm I'm pretty pumped about it.
SPEAKER_01If we have a chance to mastermind sooner than later, I I want to learn more about that part the partnership program side of things is because it's a gap that we it's a gap we have in our community is the partnership program, and there's so many, so many of them that would if they had a more in more streamlined way out to participate in that type of program, I know they'd jump all over it, especially if there's an AI component.
SPEAKER_00100%. Yeah. So I I want to respect your time. So I just got a couple more questions. If somebody is sitting here listening to this and they're like, okay, this is intriguing, but I don't know how to get started. I'm still probably a little skeptical. Like, what would you say? How how does somebody get started playing around with what it is that you're talking about, using AI to build relationships and grow their business?
SPEAKER_01Well, there's there's two ways to do it, right? So the first way is you can kind of just you know do it on your own. And we uh we offer two different pathways. So we have um we have a pathway that is an AI mastermind group called Renegade CEO, which you see on my shirt here. It's powered by our mother company, Ren Renai. And we have such amazing conversation, those communities. So we're going over different use cases, talking about different AI tools. And uh largely it's a group of people, they're not afraid to experiment and try to build things, you know, on their own using these different things like workflows, automations, you know, playing around with the most cutting-edge tools, right? But there's also a 12-month roadmap on how to how to integrate AI into every functional area of your business. So marketing, sales, service, tech, operations, legal, finance, HR, recruiting. And so our 12-month roadmap goes through every functional area of the business and says here's the different use cases you can use AI and gives them a detailed roadmap on how to actually implement it. And so, like, we're seeing so many awesome breakthroughs in that community. But it is more of like a, you know, like a willing to roll up your sleeves type of community and and do a little bit of playing around, right? So that's one uh that's one recommendation that I'd have is getting involved in a community like that, right? Like ours, if not ours, where you can just make sure you're staying at the cutting edge of what's actually happening in in AI. And we're finding grant a lot of people don't have that don't have the 12-month roadmap. It's just random. It's like random AI conversations. So I think that's probably what separates us from other communities. And then we also have another side of REN AI, which is uh called REN360. It's our done for you technology enabled service where we'll take, we'll look at your use case and we'll build out you know agents and automated workflows for a specific use case for you to generate leads and convert them, but we'll also manage the AI agent for you. So those are the two different like pathways that we ought we offer and recommend. Outside of that, it's just absorbing as much information as you can and being willing to just roll up your sleeves and try to try to play around with it if you, you know, if for whatever reason our community doesn't fit your needs.
SPEAKER_00Do you think this is something that people have like an option to do, or how how do you think AI is going to change the working landscape over the next few years?
SPEAKER_01So uh I'll give you an example right now. We're building something called Ren AI Workforce, and it's powered by Google Gemini, Manus, and Claude. So all three of those tools have launched what's called an agentic AI agent. And the use cases of what it's what they're doing are insane. So lot like it's more advanced than people realize. Like, literally, like if people understood the power of what even like a manus or Google Gemini 3.0 and the advanced features can do, literally, there would probably be another 10 to 20 percent of jobs just gone already. But because they don't understand it, and they're and they just don't under even understand the power of it, it hasn't happened yet. But the ability is there. And I'm just giving an example. My AI agent right now, I used to have to have a Facebook ad manager manage every single one of my my clients and my ad accounts. My AI agent's doing that now. It's literally going in there and it's not only creating the ads, managing them, but switching the budget around autonomously. And 90% of people have no idea that you can have an AI agent do that. And I can go over a hundred use cases. We, you know, I I used to have to go pay a database provider for new emails and phone numbers. My AI agent, I give it the list, it'll sort it for me, and it will go find any public information and bring those new names, emails, and phone numbers in for me. And I don't have to pay the third-party database provider. LinkedIn messages. Um organizing my inbox, cut frontline customer service, either phone calls or chat. So, like there's over a hundred different use cases that we're we're working through right now in our own company. And I'll give you an example, and I'm not saying that this was easy when I say this, but we used to have to have a to do what we're doing right now, we used to have to have a staff of either independent contractors, virtual assistants, and and W 2 employees of about 70 people combined, like combine them all. We're doing the same thing with about 27 to 30 people because of AI agents right now.
SPEAKER_00That's wild, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So, what's gonna happen is people are still trying to figure it all out, and I guess that's what I'm most passionate. Passionate about is when you get involved in a community, it doesn't matter what industry that you're in, you get involved in our community, people are just having massive breakthroughs. And I'll give you one quick story. This guy was trying to find a way to buy this piece of land. He's doing he's beta testing our AI workforce as a research tool powered by Manis. Manis went out and did all of the research, showed them how to how to break up the land lot in a certain way that would pass code. And because it did all of that, did the digital mapping, drew the actual map out like an engineer would. That would have cost him probably 10 grand between time, money, and research. It did it in a couple hours of him just messing around. And then because it was such a clear picture, he was able to go to an investor and convince him to do this project and buy the land that he would have never been able to convince before. Literally, he told me he's gonna make worst case half a million dollars to $700,000 in profit off of this project that would have never got off the ground if it wasn't for an agentic AI agent doing this research, looking at putting the blueprints together and doing it in a way that was persuasive enough to attract the right people to be able to do it, get approved, get it approved by the the town board, et cetera, et cetera. Right. 2027 is a huge year because I think that's when people are going to catch up to what it can actually do. And that's when we're gonna start seeing a lot of shifting happening, not only in the real estate space, but every industry.
SPEAKER_00I would agree, man. This has been a fascinating conversation. Out of respect for your time, I I just have one more question. And we have a lot of our own experience with this, just independent of the work that I uh Isaiah's doing, just with our own development teams and the the stuff that we're starting to do with AI is just stuff that I would have dreamed about, you know, like years ago.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean when we got started 10 years ago.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like I'm I'm in a similar position where like five years ago I would have needed a team of 10 to do what one person can do today by lunch. And it's just it's unbelievable what's happening to the business. And I think that that's it's it's very unique to think about it from the perspective of developing relationships because there's a lot of work that you do that you probably don't have to do in order to get to a point where you're having a relationship with somebody. And I think when you really dive into the applications of that, um, at least from what I do, the perspective of what I do from a partnership standpoint, it's it's really amazing to see what's happening with the stuff that we're doing and the stuff with which you guys are doing. It's it's really, really, really cool.
SPEAKER_01I gotta tell one more story. Do I got time for 30 seconds? One more story. You just triggered. There's a I'm not gonna say their name, but there's a very famous influencer who's like, the rule of 100, you gotta grind it out. And what you're doing is you're you're getting your reps in, you're learning you know, the art and science of hard work and consistency. And I'm thinking in my background is that my AI agent did the hundred DMs for me. And I'm like, I'm like, this doesn't apply. Like in the in a year that this this conversation doesn't even happen anymore, yeah, in my opinion, about of the the shifting from hard work to working intelligently, that has to start happening quicker. And we got to stop talking about the hustle culture and start talking about work the working smarter culture and not be afraid to have that conversation. And I'm and I'm a product of that. I used to work 60 to 70 hours a week, not because I had to, but because I I wanted to to get everything done that I wanted to get done. And now, like I'm sitting here grant and I'm getting everything I want to get done functioning on a 30-hour work week. So, anyway, I appreciate uh this conversation and uh it's been a lot of fun.
SPEAKER_00No, I really appreciate you spinning. So this has been fascinating. Um, we're gonna have to find another reason to to get back on and chat through this a little bit more so that people can continue to dive into what it is you're doing.
