Our podcast launch didn’t go live on the day we planned… F***
and honestly? We ended up laughing about it instead of freaking the F out 😅
In this episode, we’re talking about what healing actually looks like in real life. Not perfection. Not pretending everything is okay. But having the tools, awareness, and nervous system capacity to move through challenges differently than we used to.
We share the daily practices that keep us grounded through chaos, including mindset shifts, breathwork, movement, spirituality, and simple routines that help us stay connected to ourselves.
Inside this episode:
• What surrender actually feels like
• Morning and evening practices we genuinely use
• Why consistency matters more than perfection
• How healing changes the way you respond to stress
• Small daily tools that shift your energy
This episode is your reminder that healing doesn’t mean life stops being messy… it means you move through the mess differently 💗

Hey y'all, this is Desi.
SPEAKER_01And this is Lisa, and welcome to our podcast, Real Talk, Real Healing, where we support women through their healing journey.
SPEAKER_00Through raw stories, authentic dialogue, and uncomfortable but necessary conversations, we explore a full range of emotions, energetics, spirituality, and physical well-being that come along with being human.
SPEAKER_01Welcome back to another episode. And today we are going to be sharing about our failed launch for this podcast and the daily tools that keep us grounded and how we didn't freak out. Amen. So have you ever had something go wrong and just freaked out or that you laughed about it? And that is exactly what happened with our podcast. We literally just chose to laugh about it, that things just went completely wrong. And we put so much work into this. And we were like, what did we do wrong? We should have done this. You know, the shoulda, coulda, woulda's definitely came up for both of us. And we're like, but again, it was like all of a sudden I just was like trusted. I just trusted. We just, you know, let the universe handle it. We're like, it's fine. It maybe delayed a day. And it just was nothing we could control at that moment, especially as we were like, it's not coming up. Did you see it on your end? Did I see it on my end? And we like definitely were a little bit nervous that it wasn't going to show up at all. But when you trust and when you allow and when you have these daily tools, it really allows us to completely trust and surrender a little bit more.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the night before we had our big launch party. So many people came, they celebrated with us. We had a dance party, it was so beautiful. And then I was like, let's check the checklist and make sure we have everything. And there was this last step, which was called this RSS. And I remember seeing this in a mastermind that I was doing like several months back. And when I saw that, because she was like telling us how to launch a podcast and giving us all the details, and I was like, I feel like that's gonna cause some problems. I didn't know what this RSS is. And here we are, the night before our podcast. And we had our episode about intuition, that's how intuition will work as well. It's like we'll know these little pings that we don't realize are gonna happen down the line. And so I thought it was very fitting and very interesting how the night before, like I'm on vacation with my family in the Ozarks, and she is later than I am. So what time were you at like 10 o'clock at night? We're trying to figure this out. Pretty much. I'm downstairs trying to like be present with my family, play games, and and she was gonna try to get it done.
SPEAKER_01I was trying to figure it out.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's right. And then I was like, Desi help. Like, are you seeing this? What's interesting is like we knew we needed to do this. We talked about it many times, and we just both like just didn't happen. And so here I am trying to get the laptop and get it all done, and she's trying to get it done, and we're like, Did we get it done? Did it work? I don't know. Let's see. We're gonna see if it's gonna launch in the morning. So both of us, I know we were both thinking about this all night because I know I was a little bit.
SPEAKER_01I felt so bad because you were like the last night of your vacation, and I'm like, I I'm gonna figure this out, I'm gonna make it work. Desi won't, I won't need Desi's help because she's been more of the tech guru over here. So thank God for her. Because I'm just like, oh my god, I'm just gonna make I'm gonna mess this up. And I'm just like trying not to ask her for help, but I'm like, all right, I don't know what's going wrong. This is just not working. I mean, there was a whole Apple issue. Remember, I was like, there was a whole Apple issue. I was trying to log into Apple and make our Apple account for like the Apple Podcast. And then the next day I had to be on the phone for like a couple hours, like on and off with this Apple support. And they were like finally, like, oh, it's not just you having this problem. It's like everyone, and it showed up this morning. I'm like, you literally had me doing all the steps when I told you it's the same thing coming up over and over again.
SPEAKER_00Well, we were both trying to troubleshoot it, right? So we spent like an hour thinking it was all done, woke up in the morning. I know I was up a little bit earlier thinking, okay, did it post? And then I went on and then did not post, and then we were texting each other early in the morning, and I was actually two hours ahead of Pacific time. And so I was like, well, maybe we can get this figured out, but there's no internet there, they turn off the internet and then I'm in the middle of the Ozarks, there's really nothing I can do. Lisa's busy, she has work, right? So it was like, oh my gosh, like some things you just have to laugh at. And there was a part of me that I know that we wanted to really get frustrated, and we worked so hard. All these people were counting on us to have this podcast launched. And like, if I would have fed into that, I could have very easily gone into that road. I could have very easily fed into that negativity and that stress. And but we both just decided that we are surrendering, there's nothing that we can do. We just had to let it go and we'll figure it out, and we'll just send out an email to everybody who's thinking the podcast is launching, and we'll post it on our stories and we'll just surrender to it because I wasn't gonna ruin the last day of my vacation, that's for sure. So that's where I was at. And I really just fed into being present with my family and being present in the moment and also like what is the next step we need to do? What's the next indicated step that we need to do? Right.
SPEAKER_01And I think that's the biggest thing is that we know that after having all these tools, after having our breath break, after having all these tools that we do on a day on the daily, it literally helps us for these moments. Yes. And I think it's just an example of the fact that, you know, we are human too, and we definitely experience things going wrong and things that we're new at. Like this is completely new for us. We're learning on the fly, pretty much, and we are not pretending that like everything is perfect, and that's literally why we created this podcast, call it called it Real Talk Real Healing, because this is for the messy moments, this is for the unfiltered moments that are behind the scenes that people don't show on you know socials. So this is the part of like it's just funny that you know we are we have this podcast called exactly that, and literally our first day of our podcast launch just completely flops and we just mess it up.
SPEAKER_00I remember thinking, oh, this is gonna make a really good podcast episode because exactly what you said. Literally failed launch, everything went kaputz, and there was nothing we can do about it, but to put all of our practices. So I know I was in that morning, I was journaling and doing all the things that I know that would fill up my cup, so I didn't get stressed out, so I didn't go down that road of, oh my gosh, how could we work so hard? This is BS and da-da-da-da-da-da, right? And like I have a tendency of doing that, and this is something that I've been working on for many years, healing and shifting, and I am very good at that scenario, but that's not the scenario that I desire to live in and who I want to be. And so we're gonna be talking about practices today because this is so important for us to really, even if you have 10 minutes a day, five minutes a day, to do just one little thing for yourself can shift the whole trajectory of your life. And so we're gonna be diving into all about that. And I'm so excited.
SPEAKER_01Me too. Oh my God, I love this topic, and we could go on and on, but we are gonna make this one a little bit shorter than normal because we can talk forever about it. Um, but exactly what this is for, like these practices are here for a reason. And honestly, I want to bring up too the fact that like exactly why we put ourselves through creating this podcast. And it's a journey that we are we manifested and we really wanted. And whenever you really want something or when you're trying to manifest something, literally the wounds or the the things, the beliefs, the thoughts are gonna come up for you to heal through in order to step into becoming that version of you that has that thing. So exactly what this podcast is about. It's like we're showing up and we're having these things pop up, and that's why we love these conversations because we're like, we know how to get back. Just like I my grief, you know, podcast that Desi supported me in. It's like, okay, like now I get to feel and show people like this is how we process. Yeah, and this is how we work through things because life is lifing sometimes. It's been happening a lot for us, and I think it's like the perfect time that we can share what tools actually really help us and what may also help you as well, even if you have a minute to five minutes every single day, and it really does matter.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, there's so much chaos going on in the world right now. So, not only in our personal lives with the world events and so many things that are happening around us. And so when we don't actually take time to slow down, and I know that can sound really hard for some people. Like, how do I have time to slow down? I gotta go to work, I got the kids, I got all this stuff, right? But when you fill up your cup, when you actually do the things that make you feel good, you're gonna be able to show up so much more powerfully. You're gonna get way more things done, you're gonna show up sharper, you're gonna show up more consistent. So everything really changes. It's a chain reaction when you actually take time to fill up your cup, even if it's for a few minutes a day. So, one of the things that I really enjoy, no, I don't enjoy, I'm sorry. This practice is something that I had to really, really be intentional about. And it was not to pick up my phone and scroll the first thing in the morning. Because how many of us have a bad habit of picking up the phone, looking at social media, looking at our emails? We're instantly in that moment giving your power away when you pick up your phone. So I highly recommend this to all of my clients and I do my best to stick to this. And I'm gonna actually share a story because real talk, real healing. I don't pick up my phone, I don't scroll. I have Opal. If you guys need an app that blocks it, um, it's very helpful. I just downloaded it not that long ago and I was like, oh, this makes it way more easier because I can't even unconsciously go and open up the app because when you set an intention not to go onto social media, you will notice how unconscious you are picking up your app so many times a day just to scroll. And so I really set the intention and I stick to it pretty good. But I was uh staying the night at a friend's house and I didn't want to get out of bed right away. She was still sleeping, and so I picked up my phone and I went on social media and I saw a post and it immediately triggered me. I wasn't resourced, I was still tired, I had just woken up, I was not ready for that emotion to come up. It was beautiful because I was able to journal. I was I cried, I had a moment with my inner child, I let her speak, I gave her a safe space to cry. So it was with purpose, and that's why you don't open your phone up and right away because you're just instantly giving your uh energy away by doing that. And you have to think like you're still on that like delta bait, like you know, those late wavelengths where you're like slower slumbers, and so you're taking on a lot more in the subconscious. So if you could do one thing, don't pick up your phone and start scrolling right away. Set an intention for like 15 minutes, go get your coffee, go brush your teeth, whatever it is, don't pick up your phone. And another practice that I really love is setting an intention for the day. So I actually, my bonus daughter got me a really cool weekly ritual um intention sheet. So every day, Monday through Friday, I'm setting intentions, and that's been so helpful because intentions really set in motion what you want to feel for the day, or what it is that you're creating, or what is it that you're working towards, right? So when you set an intention with yourself and the universe, then that energy can go into that direction. So highly recommend setting intention and it could be as simple as feeling free today, feeling clear, feeling concise, right? It could be just one simple little thing that you're wanting for that day, and that will start also drastically changing your life.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, absolutely. And honestly, it could be just a simple like word or like simple feeling as well. Like maybe you just want to focus on gratitude for the day because gratitude obviously shifts your energy in any moment. So it could be just looking for gratitude throughout the day, and it could be just being present with your family or with we know whatever's going on. I can say that this past weekend and this month is always a crazy birthday month. And for me, like it's like I have to set the intention to really enjoy myself and be present because I could be overwhelmed easily with all the things that I have to do and all the things and you have been in the past, and I have been in the past, and honestly, this this is the first time that I'm like, no, I'm not choosing that this time. Like, this is like the perfect time for me to practice that, and I think that's the what you focus on flows, like what you focus on grows bigger, so it expands. So it's really important. I if you pick anything, do an intention for the day, honestly. Like that's definitely the biggest thing. Um, and for me, I I've definitely changed my morning routines, especially throughout the years, but uh before uh my most recent shift, I would I would I need to come back to a morning routine because I noticed myself being so distracted and so frazzled throughout the day and just like not feeling good about my day. And I realized I wasn't focusing on what actually matters to me and how to again bring that energy into myself and get connected again because we both have very big spiritual practices. So it's like I stopped doing my cards, I stopped doing all these things, and I had to come back to it. So I mean my boyfriend did Tony Robbins, the UPW live, and it was like that sparked something in me and sparked something in both of us because it was so much energy and it's talk about intention, all the things. So Tony Robbins has a breath work priming practice in the morning that he does every single day. And basically it is breath work, it is gratitude, it is basically like manifestation and visualization in there, like uh affirmations, it's giving love, it's receiving love, it's so many good things in one thing, and it's about what 15-ish minutes. I've sent it to Desi and Desi's done it. So, yeah, me and definitely doing it. Yeah, it's it's so good. If you do nothing, like that is a great practice to do every single day. Be consistent. Yeah, we'll definitely put it in the show notes. So definitely check it out because it's a definitely an amazing tool to come to every single day. And you can break down any of those pieces too. If you don't have time and you're like, I can't, I don't have time to do 15 minutes. Like, how the hell am I gonna do that? Pick a minute, you know, do a couple breaths, do a couple of the gratitude moments, you know, do a couple of visualization. If you're trying to call something in, focus on visualization, focus on the feeling. Um, so I definitely was big with that. I do journaling every once in a while. I do my oral cards most of the time. And now I'm shifting into a new practice, which I as I tell people and as I like finally started doing this, I'm like, people think I'm crazy because it's it is a crazy practice, but this is what I'm learning. And I actually figured out that I love it and now I want to do it every morning. And so I am in this kunalini certification right now. So Kundalini is your life energy, your Shakti energy, and it's at the base of the spine. And basically, this practice it's it's a very like strict practice from the beginning. So I'm learning how to access that first practice and be a little bit more uh like structured with it for the beginning. So 40 days of this practice, and the craziest part of it is that I'm supposed to be getting up at 3:30 in the morning. So you're like, what? No one has time for that. I'm too tired for that. All the things, and I get it. I haven't been getting up that early every day, but I do get up around 4 or 5 a.m. to do a majority of this practice. Uh, the first part of the practice is a movement, the second part is chanting, and it's said to do uh this practice before sunrise because it is that like spiritual hour. It is that like quiet stillness hour. So it has been life-changing for me so far. I'm only in like two weeks, and honestly, so many things have just shifted this past week, and I feel so much better throughout my day. I have so much more time for myself. I do a little journaling afterwards just to reflect on how I'm feeling and what's going on. Things still come up, it's not easy. I want to get get through the chanting really quickly because I'm like, this is annoying and like I'm gonna fall asleep. I've fallen asleep quite a few times. I went back to bed after a couple of times. So, like, it's okay to have those days where you wake up and you're like, nope, not today, or you do a little bit, go back to bed, or you do a little bit and you're like, that's enough. And you just start do it to what feels good for you. I think that's the biggest thing we can share. And what we'll keep reminding you during this episode is because it is about just coming back to the tools whenever you need it. It doesn't have to be a whole two and a half hour practice in the morning, even though we might like to, even, you know, we're just like, yeah, that's not possible right now in this season of my life. And that's okay too.
SPEAKER_00You really have shifted since you started that. I felt it, I've seen it, which is so cool because when your business partner, your best friends like invest in themselves and like do some really cool stuff, like you get the upgrades too. So keep going with it. Thanks, girl. So uh another portion of our practices, like Lisa was saying, was you know, it's not gonna look the same all the time. Like we do go through different seasons. So for me, I know I was waking up early to like 5, 5:30, maybe like a year or two ago, where it was feeling so aligned. I woke up instantly all by myself and I was like coming to the altar and I was doing my practices and it was flowing so nicely, and I was all done by like seven o'clock in the morning, which felt so good. But I'm not there right now. Like waking up right now is not feeling easy. It is not feeling refreshed at 5 a.m. in the morning or 5 30. And I would love to get back there because that felt really good, but my body is saying no, and I'm more tired and I need more sleep, and I've been working on going to bed earlier. So you got to figure out your lifestyle. What works for you? What will fill up your cup? It doesn't have to be in the morning, it could be on your lunch break. Like if you're working a corporate job, it could be 30 minutes on your lunch, 15-minute lunch break. I would go and I would do breath work when I was working in corporate for 10 minutes out of my 15-minute break because I knew I was gonna feel better, right? So, some of the other things, this could be prayer, you know, where what are you praying for? What do you believe? God, angels, universe, like whatever it is, your higher power, like what are some intentions that you can set for your prayer and your meditation? You know, meditation really just helps you to calm down, and you know, sitting in silence can be really scary for some people. And I just want to say that there's no right, wrong way for meditation. We think that we have to like sit down and we have to just be quiet and like no thoughts are gonna come in. And that's actually not what happens. So many thoughts will come in, but it's actually just bringing your awareness back to your breath, bringing your awareness back to the present moment. And that's something that I'm actually gonna start practicing is sitting in silence with no noise and no anything, and just breathing in. One of my mentors that I'm working with right now is like, we need to get there's so much going on in my mind, and we have so many moving parts. There's podcasts, there's events that we're throwing, there's so many moving parts, right? All of us have so many moving parts, but when we're not actually present in the moments where we're supposed to be enjoying ourselves and we're still thinking about all the other things, then we're not actually moving through and getting the benefits of everything that we're doing, right? So, if like for me, I know I'm gonna be sitting in some more silence, which will be uncomfortable but very exciting. And I want to be able to go paddleboarding and not be thinking about work, right? Like I want to be able to go do things and be present with my family and not be thinking about the podcast that I'm watching, right? And so there's some habits that we get to break with these practices. So sitting in silence, journaling, listen, if you have a busy mind, set a timer for three to five minutes and brain dump everything. And it'll look like this. I don't know what to write. This doesn't really make sense. I don't know. And then your brain and your thoughts will keep going and going, and you keep writing and writing and writing and writing. So this is a especially really good practice right before bed. Writing, writing, writing, writing, writing, and you're just gonna feel like a whole weight was freaking lifted off of you. So this is such a big practice, especially for like a busy mind. At night, I'm usually pretty good. I'm like tired, I'm ready to go to bed, but that is a good practice to do right before bed, or when you're just feeling like you have so much going on that like journaling is I've been journaling a lot more. I've been doing so many journal prompts, and I used to do that a lot at the beginning of my journey, of my healing journey, and I'm getting back into it, and I was like, oh yeah, that's why we did this all the time, right? And so it's okay if we get away from practices and then we go back to other practices and that we're gonna ebb, we're gonna flow. And the most important part is like not making us wrong and not making it bad. So, like when I was back in corporate, like I couldn't get up and leave the house and commute an hour and get all this done before, but I would wake up and maybe do 10 minutes, or I would do it on my lunch, or whatever that looked like for me. I still made sure to set the practices and I had a non-negotiable to do it on the weekends because I was a much nicer human on the if I do my practices, especially when I was working corporate, I can handle life better. I'm more calm. You're gonna get a nicer version of me if I'm doing these things. So I did set non-negotiables when I was at my corporate job. Like I have to do this at least once during the weekend. So yeah.
SPEAKER_01No, that's so true. I think, and I think that's the biggest thing is it's a gift to do these tools. It's a gift for yourself and for everyone around you because when you're in better energy because you're taking care of yourself and you're filling up your cup, whatever that looks like, whether it's 30 seconds or like an hour, you know, it's honestly shifts your whole energy. People can feel it, whether you realize that or not.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01And again, you also are one to either you're going to start the day off spiraling and just like Desi said, like she saw a post and it triggered her. And you're kind you're gonna be spiraling the rest of the day if you allow yourself to, or you have to find that honesty and that observation part of you to be like, oh, this is coming up for me again. Now let me go to my practices, let me journal it out, like let it out in whatever way feels good for you. And I think a big thing too is that since me and you have dug into a little bit of our astrology and and what I love about knowing our moons is because it's the internal world and see the emotional part of you. So whatever your your uh moon is, whatever element it is, it's like knowing what practices work for you and what you can use automatically to come to and and see what resonates with you, right? Because you have an earth moon. So it's like getting in nature like that calms you most of the time. Like you know, right? And for me, I have air. So I need to talk it out most of the time or journal it out. Like that is totally for me. Yeah. And you have to find the practices that work for you. So what about the other two elements? So there's fire and there's water as well. So fire usually needs movement. They need to like let it out sweat it out, you know, move the energy out. And water is definitely more emotional, I would say, because you do need to let yourself cry and release. Also have a little bit more alone time but again it's it's allowing yourself to not get like swallowed by the emotions not get because water water signs can definitely hold it in a little bit more. And sometimes they need to process alone but just enough that they allow themselves to let it let it release it basically because they can definitely cause themselves to stay in the spiral if they don't let it out. Okay. Um but thank you for asking that because I'm sure someone will understand that and and resonate with that.
SPEAKER_00Right. Well if you don't know your moon sign you can go look up astrology cafe is a great place to do that. And it will you just need your location your date of birth and the time you were born and it'll give you all that information and there's so much insight in that. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Working with the elements with your chart is just such a game changer.
SPEAKER_00It really is.
SPEAKER_01And then learning the people around you put that up 100% and that and that's what it that's what it is you know when you do these practices you have compassion for yourself and other people because you're like they're just going through something. Like how many times have you got cut off driving and you're like I used to have bad road rage because I was always late. So like I'd be like cursing people off in the car because I'm like get out of my way like I'm trying to speed up to get past you. Like you know don't block me now because now's not the time you know I was never aggressive with it like getting out of the car or anything crazy but like I would get pissed off and like of course I'm just like I'm already all so in my head you know when I get to work or I get to wherever I'm going because now I'm like oh my God I'm late I'm gonna get in trouble. I'm gonna do you know whatever. So it's like knowing these situations like I am cool as a cucumber. Somebody gave me the finger just the recently and it was like literally the week it was the day after Nicole passed away and like it was after I was processing at the park and I'm pulling out of the park this car came around the corner I didn't even pull out they like went to the light and like I was turning and they were in the other lane.
SPEAKER_00I'm like zoning out you know like whatever and then all of a sudden they're giving me the finger they're coming back and they're like give me the finger and I'm like wait to me like you're like who is this around here talking to like I'm just like I don't know what it did but like I'm glad I made your day because now you gave me the finger yeah that reminds me of another time I was in the car with uh my good friend uh and client Lucy and we were driving home from Sedona and yeah I was getting the bird just flipped off and they're she's honking and she's passing us and we're looking at each other like what happened? I'm sorry having such a bad day. Yeah yeah and it's just sad because that's how people are operating you know they're operating from this anger from this stress and then they have to like take it out on you and uh you know road rage that's a whole conversation so commercial yeah I thought that was pretty funny though. Yeah but good for you for not being like triggered in that moment when you were getting into such heavy emotions because I don't know if I would have been that grounded to be like laughing off and it might have been like you know what let me take my anger out on you.
SPEAKER_01Well I think I did process a lot and I felt good after that. So I think it was it was afterwards I probably would be upset but also I was just like I was just zoning out like it was just one of those you know moments where I just like wasn't there fully either but I'm just like okay like whatever I just had to laugh about it again. It was just one of those moments I'm just like yeah I I I made your day actually like you know I made I was that much of a trigger to you that you had to do that to me. Like that's pretty funny.
SPEAKER_00It's hilarious.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. But I would say you know a couple of the things just to add on for like these morning routines or these evening routines another thing I mentioned movement but movement is so important for me first thing in the morning because I know I won't get to it later. Sometimes I will but stretching or movement even a couple minutes honestly really changes the whole thing body and I and one thing actually that I was doing before I did my kundalini practice I connect with music very well and like it's one of my things and I started dancing and like putting a playlist together that is like high vibe music and I would like dance and jump around and like just shake things out like first thing in the morning after I journaled and that like changed my day. Like you don't you can't say that if you have one of your favorite songs on your belt and out singing whether it's in the car or just like dancing around like that does not change your day. I'm sure it does like that's something you can come back to that's so easy that doesn't feel like you're doing journal work or self you know self-reflection or anything like that. Like that's something that anyone does like who doesn't have a great time at karaoke right like you know it's one of those things that you can make it fun also you can make these practices fun and you don't need a two hour routine you don't need and and the biggest thing is like consistency over perfection you know and listening to your body and because again it's going to set the tone for the rest of your day or the rest of your night or you know especially when you come home from work if you're traveling for work or going into work and you get affected and all the energy from your coworkers making sure you take a couple of deep breaths to be present with your family to be present with your partner that's going to be such a game changer because you're gonna be able to make life actually happier and and more joyful when you're able to solidify these practices and even the evening, you know how much how many times do you catch yourself on Netflix or on your phone scrolling and you're not connecting with the person that's in front of you? Or you know maybe you don't have somebody right in front of you but like you can give a call to a friend or your parent or somebody else and just make sure you're being intentional with that time as well. Because again if you're thinking and I definitely am guilty of this where I think of all the things I have to do tomorrow and now I'm already spiraling before the day even starts tomorrow. So allow yourself like Desi said like write everything out before the night there's a practice in um this book called Internet Excellence and it's I can't remember all the steps but one of the steps is actually replaying the whole day and like reframing it. Reframe your day like instead of being like today sucked because of X, Y, and Z, like look at the grateful moments and be specific.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Look at the moments that like that could have been a little bit better and like actually play them out a little bit like visualization wise because then it's like okay now I can shift today was a win instead of a failure. You know and then you can feel like you it actually counted because how many times do we forget what our day consisted of oh yeah or like this week completely sucked but then you forget that you had that moment with your friend or with your partner and you're like oh yeah I forgot about that moment. You know when you look back in the photos and your year and you're like oh yeah that's right I forgot I did all these things this year. You you know time flies.
SPEAKER_00The priming video or the priming meditation is very good for that because it says you know think about something that you can be you know grateful for like recently or whatever it says and it's like it makes you actually think like what am I grateful for? Sometimes it's like really easy and sometimes I'm like well do I want to use the same thing I used yesterday but you know can we get creative? Yeah and then you're like starting to think about it and then it's like you know bring in the feeling that you felt with this moment. And so a lot of that is about the visualization and the feeling into what it is that you desire and what you want more of but I love that part of it because I think it's so important for us to reframe the things that you know like you're saying reframe and to feel into the gratitude. And so another great practice that you could do is you know write out what you're grateful for in the mornings like five things you're grateful for. There's a bunch of gratitude journals out there on Amazon and you can just go on there and write and you can get journals that like are very easy just to open up and know what you're doing. And that's another great way to start your day or to end your day right because it's very important the energy we go to sleep in as well because we are ruminating in that energy. This is I was watching a movie last night with uh Jason and that they're talking about going to Africa. So in my dream uh his parents were taking us to Africa which I was like cool we're going to do Africa right so like the things that we are are consuming right before bed is going to play out in our subconscious in our dreams and in our you know in that energy and so I don't have a great evening practice I do wash my face and that feels like a huge win um you know when you're pushing 40 or you're you know you're getting older you're like you know so I've been washing my face pretty regularly for the last like uh gosh I maybe like several years now and so that's felt really good but I'm wanting to add more to that and me and Jason we get we go through these little like spurts where we're like we'll do things before bed and then it falls off. And for a while what we were doing is we were doing like 15 minutes maybe maybe a little less than that of visualization. Like he's doing his visualization I'm doing my visualization we set a timer and like we do it and then like we talk about it and I really I really enjoyed that. So that would be a good intention for us to get back into another thing that I'm wanting to do I was telling Lisa like as we're shifting as we're growing as we're learning as we're doing all the things in life like my morning routine hasn't been feeling that good lately and I've been waking up and I feel like I'm kind of like sitting around for like 20 to 30 minutes like waiting to wake up and then getting started with my practices which is usually like journaling pulling cards breath work listening to some kind of meditation or maybe a training that's like gonna fill up my cup but I'm thinking I want to start just getting on the I don't know I I I have some resistance to it as I'm saying you do I do I do getting up and getting on my vibration plate right in the morning. But ideally I would wake up get on the vibration plate about 615 be done with the vibration plate make Jason's protein shake make her protein shakes for the day get him out of the house with his lunch and all that and then go to my morning practices. So I think I'm gonna commit to that starting next week when I'm uh back home um from my mom's puppy. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh nice I think you should play some music while you do it. Okay it'll get you up and moving and you'll be able to sing and like the time fly by. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah yeah yeah so that's gonna be my intention uh going forward for for my morning routine and for my nighttime routine I'm gonna have to think about that. Would are you feeling any shifts for your practices?
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna keep doing my morning practice because I'm on like day 15 or 16 today. So out of 40. And it was kind of funny because like we're like some of the girls are like uh sharing their experiences and I'm like I kind of am thinking like I'm definitely not gonna stop this like afterwards at least pieces of it because I just really enjoy the movement practice of it because I'm like so energized afterwards and I'm like this is the like the first day I did it I was vibrating so high I was like what the heck is this like I feel like I'm going crazy like this feels so good. Of course I'm doing this every day.
SPEAKER_00Like well I want to share something real quick with that because you did one of the breath works on your morning midweek morning reset and I was vibrating my hands were vibrating my feet were vibrating I was like ooh what is this I want more of this and so I just did like a little portion of it and I could already feel the energy so much and just uh for anybody who wants to have a midweek reset with Lisa she does this on Wednesday morning.
SPEAKER_01Wednesday yep one evening Wednesday mornings 8 a.m eastern time and one Wednesday evening to let anyone that can't do it in the morning. And all the replays are available they are private on YouTube but I I will give you the playlist if you sign up the email we'll drop the link in the show notes as well so you can sign up because it's been something that even though I do my whole practice and I just did it yesterday morning of course I feel so good afterwards. I'm like wow it's like I'm so lucky that I know these tools and then I get to share them because I feel so good that like all I want and and like we both want this, we just want to help people shift their energy like super quickly because we know the power of this and that's why these practices are so important to us and we know there's so much power in it when you are consistent. But again you can be human too and and not do it every day and you know come back to it and have a couple of days of like oh the we haven't been doing our practice you know or like lean on each other and be like are you feeling something funky today or then we just remind each other of like what's going on and how we can support each other in that moment, you know and I think that's the biggest the biggest thing that we want you to take away from this is that you don't need to be perfect at it. You don't need to know much about any of these like we have the tools we're sharing these just try something if you are curious about anything you said about we said today and we shared please reach out like message us and let it and let us know you know if you're like curious about a certain thing or like how can I learn more about it. We'll definitely help you and guide you on these but we want to give you guys this gift because it's a gift to us and it's something that we maybe take it for granted because it's easy for us to like tap into because we know these and we're just like it helps us so much and that's why we're bringing this to the podcast because we want to share more of these.
SPEAKER_00Yes so we're hoping all of that landed with you. Most importantly like she was saying like it's not going to be perfect but when the life gets interrupted at the routines we go on vacation the biggest thing is just coming back to that intention of like how do I want to feel and how do I want to show up in my life because if I was working my corporate job not have been doing my morning practices and then the whole failed launch with the episodes would have happened I don't think I would have been able to surrender. And I wanted to share how easy of a fix it was so we are using uh Buzz Sprout for our podcast where you upload all your podcasts there. We thought this RSS had to be connected and we had to do one episode on Spotify and then one episode on Apple and then we could connect it and it was like really confusing and then I sat down like later in the evening I think it was like four o'clock and I was like let me just go back here and see what's over here and thumb around and then all I had to do was like click two buttons and they were launched out into the world later that day. So sometimes we just need to surrender and then the answers are given to us and that's how easy it gets to be and then I'm like it's lunch we're live oh my gosh we're doing it I was literally on the phone with Apple like do I stay on the phone to get this fixed or what?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah it was it was an adventure you know and now we know.
SPEAKER_00Yes now we do.
SPEAKER_01So we go ahead exactly what you're probably gonna say too like sometimes we go through things to help someone else with it and sometimes we share it for a reason and we we get to share this funny story.
SPEAKER_00Right. So yeah so anybody's launching a podcast just hit us up we got you yeah yeah we we got you we'll help you well let's leave them with some reflection questions what will you choose to add into your daily tools like morning or evening so what what daily tools are you gonna add into your morning routine or to your evening practices maybe it's just getting up 10 minutes earlier five minutes earlier just to take some deep breaths before you wake up the kids or get in the shower or even in the shower you could be doing the breathing. So just one small thing and for those who already have their practices maybe they've strayed for their practices go back to the foundation see what feels good and start testing it. That's what I'm doing. I'm just testing things right now what's really filling my cup what is really helping me and how can I bring that more into my life so really having those intentional moments where we're figuring out what feels good and what doesn't and knowing that certain things are going to fill up your cups differently than others. And so noticing like how much did this fill up my cup and what did that feel like and is this something that I want to continue to expand on and grow on and then you know eventually you can add on to it as well. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Another question would be exactly kind of what Desi started talking about was who do you want to show up today as? So what version of you do you want to show up as today? What is that feeling who is that version of you what how do they show up and the next part is if you want to go even further Desi of course has her energy leaks freebie so we'll put that in the links as well so you can come back to that because that is so important to understand where are you receiving more energy what's giving you more energy and what's draining your energy so then you can allow yourself to see what practices will actually give me energy. So that can be a little experiment that you should try. We definitely recommend so always come back to that and honestly even if you went through it come back to it. What's giving me energy out of my day how can I get more of that and how can I release what doesn't serve me today.
SPEAKER_00Yeah amen yeah because our our energy is our currency it's so important and it's being sucked away from us all the time and that's why it's so important that you do not get on your phone and start scrolling first thing in the morning. You are your own power right and if you are opening up your phone and scrolling you're instantly giving your power away the moment you wake up and I know that can be a zinger for a lot of us and a lot of people but I promise you you will see how much of a shift in your nervous system and your energy and how you feel and how you show up it'll be really big. And so yeah if you want to go uh get the energy leaks it's gonna give you four practical things that you can do right now to start shifting your energy and start plugging those leaks so that you can have more energy to do your morning practices. So thank you guys so much for being here we love you guys all so much if you could leave us a review and take a screenshot share with us over on our Instagram Real Talk Real Healing Podcast we would be forever grateful for that and get entered into the giveaway yes thank you guys see you next time
