Daily Unwind: You Are Whole 🌳

You may feel broken at times, but what if you actually aren't?

We all have moments when we feel disconnected from ourselves—fragmented by stress, loss, self-doubt, or old stories we've carried for far too long. But beneath those experiences is something quieter, steadier, and remarkably resilient.

In this Daily Unwind, you'll gently settle into deep relaxation before exploring the idea that wholeness isn't something you have to earn or rebuild. Just as your body continuously heals, repairs, and renews itself, your deeper self is always moving toward integration, balance, and well-being.

Through guided hypnosis, you'll release old beliefs that no longer serve you and reconnect with the quiet truth that has been there all along:

You are whole.

This Unwind includes: Guided hypnosis, deep relaxation, self-acceptance, healing, nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, releasing limiting beliefs, stress relief, anxiety relief, positive affirmations, mind-body connection, and reconnecting with your authentic self.

Hi everybody, this is Jessica, and welcome to your Daily Unwind, a podcast where we come back to ourselves, explore relaxation, and ask the question, what do we find when we unwind? Thank you all for being here. I'm just gonna go straight into it because this is a short one. Here we go. As I read the introduction, I'd like you to get yourself into a comfortable position, making sure that your neck is relaxed so the rest of your body can let go. And allow your eyes to close. And just bring your awareness to your breath. That lovely wave of your breath. And even as you hear my voice, you find that you are beginning to relax easily and naturally. Imagine how that your eyelids are getting heavy, and that in fact they are so heavy they will not open. And as you really feel that heaviness, I'd like you to accept that your eyelids will not open and now wiggle your eyebrows, demonstrating that your eyes will not open. And of course, you know this is a game, and you could open your eyes if you want to, but that's okay.

You are whole. I know that wholeness can feel challenging sometimes when it comes to our inner life, our sense of self, or self-esteem. We can have experiences that make us feel fractured or disconnected from ourselves. Many of us feel that. But before I go on, I'd like you to bring your awareness for a moment to your lips. Let's say your lower lip. And just let your awareness hang out in your lower lip. As your whole world becomes small, contained within your lip. And all you're doing is sensing, feeling, noticing what it's like to just be in your lower lip. And it may feel sort of swollen as your attention moves there. Good. And you may find that as your awareness hangs out here in your lower lip, that your jaw is naturally beginning to relax. It feels nice to let your jaw go, letting it unwind. So when we feel that fractured feeling, it makes logical sense that we approach it by trying to glue the pieces of ourselves back together. That's the conscious mind's approach to fixing things. But even that can feel frustrating over time because even though the pieces of ourselves can feel more compatible over time, they're still pieces. Notice now that as your lips and jaw are relaxing, your belly is letting go. And now a lovely relaxed feeling is moving down your arms. As your arms begin to feel nice and heavy. Wonderful soft heaviness moving down into your hands, into your fingers. And your pelvis is feeling very heavy as your breath drops down into your belly. And the heaviness is moving down now into your thighs, through your knees, down your calves, into your feet, deep down into your toes. Your whole body is feeling loose and limp, like a ragdoll. As you go deeper and even deeper. When you relax, as you are relaxing right now, you are perceiving from a different part of your mind. And from this part of your mind, you realize that you are whole. That feeling of being fractured occurs only in one certain layer of your consciousness. But it's just a layer. It's not the deepest you. And you are unwinding and unwinding. When it comes to this phenomenon, I think it's helpful to consider the body. Your body is whole. In fact, it is constantly expressing and reasserting its wholeness. That's what healing is: a return to wholeness. Whenever in your life you've experienced an injury, your body has marshaled all of its resources to restore its wholeness. Quickly and efficiently. It didn't hem and ha, it didn't think about it. Your body reasserted its wholeness automatically. And your body has been doing it for as many years as you've been alive. That's its thing. Constantly restoring its wholeness. And your body is not only whole, it is robust. It reasserts its wholeness every second of every day, releasing elements it no longer needs, discarding waste, and rebuilding itself. As you go deeper and even deeper into relaxation, sinking below the chatter of your mind. Now I'd like you to imagine for a moment all the negative thoughts and feelings you carry around that contradict your wholeness. The thoughts that tell you there's something wrong with you, or you're broken, or there's some gap in you. Now, if you've been listening to this recording already this week, you may find that these feelings have become difficult to find, or feel much lighter in your body, or have even changed color and transformed into positive feelings. That's great. But if you're listening to this for the first time, allow those thoughts and feelings of conflict or brokenness to emerge and rise. Imagine them becoming dark clouds moving through your mind and body. Good. And as you imagine them, you may be feeling them, and that's okay. You are well acquainted with these feelings. They've been stuck in you for a while, so just let them rise to the surface. Now imagine all these clouds gathering together. So they're one big dark cloud. Maybe it's hovering over your head, or over your chest, or over your whole body. Just notice how it presents itself. There's no right or wrong. And now imagine this cloud is spiraling down one of your arms. And now it's moving all the way down into your hand. And now all those negative thoughts and feelings, any beliefs that you are broken or irreparable, are gathering themselves in the palm of your hand and becoming a little ball. A little black rubber ball of old feelings and beliefs. Feelings that your body is releasing because it can. As your body reasserts its wholeness, you can squeeze that ball right now. Good. And you are whole. You are free. You are clear. And just as your body asserts its wholeness automatically, now your mind is too. I am whole. I am whole. You can do whatever you want with the ball. It's yours to do with what you will. You can bounce it, squeeze it, hold on to it if for some reason that feels right. Or you can imagine hiking up the edge of a volcano and tossing it into the boiling magma, where it melts. Bye-bye. And it's gone. Just imagining that feels good. I am whole. I am whole. I am whole. Your wholeness is as natural as breathing. You don't have to do anything to earn it or deserve it. Because you are whole. You simply are. So this week, as you listen to this unwind, your sense of wholeness will get stronger as you reconnect with your truth. I am whole. I am whole. Just as my body is whole, my whole being is whole. And guess what? Not only are you whole, your wholeness is working for you every day. Healing you, moving you forward, evolving you. You are an event, my friend. A dynamic event. And you will find that as you live your day today, you will feel relaxed and comfortable, knowing that from the deepest point of your being, spiraling up from your DNA, you are whole and robust. You are doing great. This sense of wholeness is working through you in powerful ways, changing your thoughts, your dreams, your relationships. And it feels really good. So in a moment, I'm going to count from one to five. And on the count of five, allow your eyes to open, emerging from this experience. Coming back to the room, feeling wonderful. One, energy moving back into your hands, your feet, your head. Two, coming closer and closer to your conscious waking state. Three, I am whole. I am whole. I am whole. Four, feeling really, really good inside. And on five, allow your eyes to open, coming back to the room, feeling great. As always, thank you for unwinding with me. Let's do it again soon.
