No Country For Hot Girls

A weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Juliana Piskorz and Hannah Burles, born out of the world of Juliana Piskorz’s Substack “No Country For Hot Girls,” where conversations, cultural obsessions, and internet spirals first started taking shape.

Each week, the pair move between reliving the worst days of their lives, an unhealthy fixation on Liam Gallagher in Supersonic, and attempts to make sense of what is actually happening in pop culture right now, whether that is the life and work of David Hockney, why The Secret History is the best book ever written, or why all men are a bit gay.

That includes everything from Callum Turner’s wedding sunglasses and Bravo scandals to internet boyfriends, chaotic celebrity behaviour, and the kinds of cultural moments that feel both trivial and strangely significant.

Alongside the chaos, they share personal anecdotes from dating disasters to sobriety attempts, as well as the everyday absurdities of trying to be a functioning adult, like overthinking Pilates etiquette, being emotionally attached to Pinterest boards, and constantly questioning why any of this matters in the first place.

It is part group chat, part cultural commentary, and part ongoing conversation between two friends trying to make sense of the noise, usually while laughing through it.
