Hello everybody, and welcome to this episode of Causes or Cures. I'm Dr. Eeks, your host, and hope you all are doing well out there. So, one of my favorite things about hosting this podcast is that it gives me permission to wander into unexpected territory. Sometimes that's cutting edge science. Sometimes it's public health is weird history. And sometimes it's the spiritual realm. The spiritual realm. Now, whether you're deeply spiritual, curious, skeptical, or somewhere in between, the questions about healing, purpose, consciousness, and what, if anything, exist beyond our physical world have fascinated humans for thousands of years. While these topics often fall outside the boundaries of conventional public health, medicine, scientific research, they remain an important part of many people's lived experiences, including their health, right? Mind, body, spirit. Some people uh that's how they approach their health. They they always have the spiritual realm there. In this episode, I'm joined by Alicia Doss, the author of Angelic Ancestry. Alicia shares her personal journey, her experiences with what she describes as angels, and her perspective on concepts like angelic ancestry, communication with loved ones who have passed away. Right? Lots of a lot of you guys are interested in that. Healing and what she believes happens after death. So, you know, the goal of this conversation is certainly not to tell anyone what to believe. I am not that girl, but it's to explore another perspective with curiosity, ask thoughtful questions, and let you decide what resonates. And this is part of our exploring the spiritual realm series on causes or cures, where we're gonna talk to different people who have all sorts of different views. All right. So let's dive in, give me a few seconds here while we connect to Alicia. All right, everybody, we are connecting with Alicia Doss, and we're gonna talk about angels and her story and uh things that I'm definitely very interested in in the spiritual realm. So, Alicia, thank you for joining.

Yeah. Could you maybe tell our listeners a little bit about yourself and what you do and how you got there?

SPEAKER_03 3:20

Sure. I'm a spiritual intuitor for 35 years, uh, ordean minister, doctorate in counseling, and recent uh new author. My book launches uh I don't know when this is when is this being released, though I can I'm gonna try to do it next week because I awesome. Yes, that's good. Yes, great. So my book, um, yeah, so my book, Your Angelic Ancestry with Hay House, is my first of a two-book series with them, and it is available now, since uh we are doing this in mid-July. So, yes, it's been a quite a long road to receiving the book, but it's now available, and it's really an amalgamation of my 35 years of professional work in the field of angelic awakening. It's really spiritual awakening, but angels would are my specialty, if you will. And um, how did I get there? Do you know it was it was really uh divinely orchestrated, I feel. Um, I started hearing the angels speak when I was four, sort of hearing the angelic language when I was four, didn't know what it was, but it certainly saw me through a lot as a very sensitive child, and had a a broad angelic awakening at around 23, 24, and started working with people. And here I am many decades later. And I have a I was pre-med, so I have a very scientific mind, so I like to see empirical evidence that what I'm doing works, you know, because and and and and I have a rare disease in my family, which is that everybody is an MD, like everybody. I mean, siblings, step siblings, um, obviously parents and stepparents, it's kind of ridiculous. And so I've had a lot of discussions with them about approaching health from a holistic perspective, from a from a you know, addressing the whole mind, body, spirit. And it's also their their, I don't want to call it left brain thinking, but their scientific orientation has actually been helpful for me because I'm really passionate about addressing the whole being, the whole person, not just the spiritual, although that's certainly moves the needle the most, but but also the physical, mental, emotional levels as well. Otherwise, you get these spiritual teachers who sometimes you get a spiritual bypass, and that's where you see a you know, a priest violating children or a guru with 18 Royals Royces, because they're not addressing our humanity, too. So for me, it's really a a passion to address the whole person.

So uh, okay, so let's just start with the basics. What how would you someone said, what's an angel? Like everybody has kind of an idea, probably a little different, but yeah, how do you what what's an angel?

SPEAKER_03 6:04

Well, an angel, it literally means messenger of God, and it's an emissary from God. It's an extrusion, it's a um frequency of spirit, God, the universal life force that we can connect to and utilize and access here on this rather dense level. Not that it's a I'm not saying that pejoratively, it's just it's an it's a it's it's dense compared to the higher realms and compared to you know essence. And so angels are really that bridge from essence into matter. And they really cross all religions. Most religions ascribe to angels. And actually, most people, there was a recent poll, I did warn you that I'm a nerd. There's a recent poll by the Associated Press that 69% of Americans, North Americans, believe in angels. That is more than believe in God. So angels really are quite ubiquitous. And when everybody seems to everybody who, you know, most people don't agree on the religions and the cultures, et cetera, don't agree on much, but they do agree on angels. So you know there's got to be something to it. So it's really a way of tangibilizing spirit of allowing us to access the invisible in a perceivable way.

Okay. And so when you were a little girl, and how did you know, like, that, you know, you weren't just hearing something or like it was your imagination?

SPEAKER_03 7:28

And yeah, you know, I'm just curious, like, how did you like, okay, this is well, children have less of a filter than adults do, of course. I didn't wouldn't have called it angels, and I don't think I did call it angels, you know. I just knew that there was a presence with me that saw me through a very difficult childhood. And it wasn't until and then this presence, this language that I was hearing, it I would then know things about other people that I couldn't know as a child. Now, in rural Indiana, you know, many decades ago, that scared people. So I learned to be quiet about it. But I, you know, when I did leave home at 18, I could start speaking much more publicly about it. And by then it was, it was very real to me, as it was, it was as real as love is or any other intangible, you know. So I just knew I had friends in high places, if you will, and that it brought me into a state of balance and focus like nothing else would or could. And later I realized, ah, that was angels, because then I started having similar experiences and hearing the same language when I was older and could integrate it into my spiritual perspective.

And when you say angel awakening, what does that mean?

SPEAKER_03 8:46

Yeah, that's a very fair question. So it means that I attended my first and last angel event that somebody else facilitated. I've since facilitated many hundreds on my own, but I heard my angelic name. We do have an angelic name, which I can tell you about as well. So I heard my angelic name, and when I did that, it I it was really quite a transformational experience, a portal open to all the universes, if you will. And I it received a profound healing. And I started hearing the angelic language, and that really changed me. You started hearing the same language I heard when I was a child, and then I put it all together. And that really changed me because I was an actress and uh had a very thankless position as the first petite model. When uh when uh John Casablanca, who was the owner of Elite Models, very big modeling agency, was like, you know what? Not all women are six feet tall, and maybe they want to see a model who's their size. So, and when I had this angelic awakening, I still was doing acting and modeling because frankly it was the only way I knew how to make a living, but my heart was really in the spirit. Then I moved into an ashram, I became ordained, and then I um started having all these angelic experiences of very high monolithic great archangels in this level, my guardian angel, my own angelic identity. And not very long thereafter, I started working with people at first for free, uh, under my ministerial credential. And then later, when there was way too many people to work with, I started charging for it. And again, that scientific mind, I really was seeing measurable changes, positive changes in people's lives. So I kept going and here I am.

Here you are. Okay, this might be a silly question to you, but to me, my the way my mind works. I'm like, okay, the angelic language is that like there are no silly questions, by the way.

SPEAKER_03 10:45

That's good.

SPEAKER_01 10:46

I'm glad you feel that way.

SPEAKER_03 10:47

I do. Absolutely. Absolutely. So, but what is your question? Like, what the heck is it? Is that like is it like English? Is it like well, unfortunately, I'm a dumb American. I only speak English. Uh, you know, I flirt with French and Spanish and even Latin. That's not the most useful language. So it is a language. There's a precedent for it through the ages, saints and prophets and teachers talking about the language of the angels. For example, Joan of Arc said, I die for speaking the language of the angels. I'm always hesitant to share that quote because people are like, wait, am I gonna die if I speak the language of the angels? But so uh, you know, she had a, of course, as you you may know the story of Joan of Arc, of course, she was burned at the stake. But before that, they gave her a chance and they said, if you just re-recant this idea that you hear voices and hear languages, your life will be spared. And so she did for three days. And then she said, No, I'm not taking this back. This is my truth. If I die, I die. And she quo was is quoted as saying she was speaking to Archangel Michael, was one of three voices, in a beautiful language. And Emerson uh talked about the language that the angels speak, um, Blake, William Blake. So there's been a lot of precedences. So it is a language, like if people often relate to they've heard of flight language, if they're in more of the esoteric fields, if they're more of the Christian, they will call it Glossaalia, speaking in tongues. It's a language that does not sound anything like English. It doesn't sound like any language on our planet, but it's a very beautiful language, and it is as close as a human ear can get to inner ear, obviously, and and a human voice can speak. And so, what it does, the purpose of it, again, being that like how do we use this to help people? What it does is it very much connects me directly to the great archangels, which I can tell you what I mean in a moment, what I mean by great archangels. And so because I'm there's no filter of you know, English or human, even there's no filter I can receive their communication very directly. And that's really how I wrote my book finally after 30 years of of wanting to, is I would receive the language, I would, you know, hear it, and then I would translate it. And that is where they gave me the information for the book, and also uh reading the Akashirk records and then the Nicol records, which are much higher than the Akashic records. So so yeah, does that answer your question a little bit more?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I I appreciate you going into all the details there because just in my head, I was like, what does that sound like? Um So your book you suggest people have an angelic ancestry. So can you tell our listeners a little bit about that? I'm assuming some of them will probably read your book, so you don't have to give it all away, but like what what are we talking about?

SPEAKER_03 13:43

Oh yeah, absolutely. So it's and then I do have a story because I know you your podcast is mostly about health, and I have I definitely have a story about how help my health tremendously. But first, angelic ancestry. So the book was called Your Archangelic Ancestry, but nobody could say it. So I changed it to Your Angelic Ancestry, but it is really our archangelic ancestry, so it's like Ancestry.com for the angelic realm. So you know how we want to know who our ancestors were and what of what are we comprised? So you can't actually know what angels you have ancestry with. So the angelic predated the human by many, many, many millennia. The angelic is a very ancient creation. Humans are really a kind of a latter-day experiment. Many spiritual, I mean, you can tell it's kind of a little rough around the edges here. And so we've had most of us incarnations in other places, uh, other realms. And so the angelic, when an angel is born from accepted from God or really through other archangels, when an angel is born, they're in a collective, they don't have individual souls. They evolve through millions of years into an archangel where they have an individual soul and now free will. They also don't have free will when they're an angel there, one with this convenient archangel above who disseminates the will of God and they act in accordance. So that sounds like a much easier way to live than us who are trying to get to higher guidance and what is God directing me to and what is my purpose, etc. They didn't, all that was disseminated to them, but they didn't grow as fast. And so from an angel to evolve to an archangel, it was mentioned took a long time. So then, in this wild act, once this realm was created, this earth and the whole physical physicality was created and given with us having free will, archangels started incarnating into the human realm in bodies, right, to know more about free will and individuation. And but we had to forget the angelic, because as mentioned, it's pre-heavenly compared to this. You know, most people could would just call it heaven. And so we had to forget it, otherwise we wouldn't engage here, or worse, we'd try to drop our bodies so that we could be back there. But now there's a portal that's open, and there's lots of astrological and metaphysical confluences happening that explain it. And those are that's all in my book. And so now we can be aware of our angelic heritage, our angelic ancestry, our lives in the angelic. Really, it's not so much about going back there. In fact, it's not at all about going back there, it's about being aware that realm we can experience that while we're in a human body, thus bringing more of the qualities of our angelic nature as well. Divine remembrance. They're in God consciousness, right? They live, they live beyond time and space. So if we want to experiment, so what is beyond time? What is beyond space? Opening to our angelic heritage can help a lot with that. Surrender. So there's lots of all the things when we say to somebody, you're such an angel, all those beautiful qualities we start to embody more while we're human, and it actually informs our future as well, brings a lot of healing. And so it's it I call it ancestry because it is predating, right? Us. And yet it's really your angelic present, is would be the more accurate, and your angelic future. And so that's what I mean by ancestry.

Okay, okay. I I get that.

SPEAKER_03 17:19

And when you work with you work with people one-on-one? I work with people one-on-one. Mostly now I do groups, but I do still do one-on-ones, just because sometimes there's things people don't feel comfortable addressing in a group. But yeah, I do one-on-one, and then I do lots of workshops and seminars and gatherings and okay.

And do you during these gatherings, do you help people find their angelic ancestry? Or are you, I don't know what the right word is, acting as like a mediator between like do angels want to talk to the people, the humans?

SPEAKER_03 17:52

Like there's a yeah, yeah, yeah. I love your questions. You because you know it's it's these are the questions people have if they're not familiar with my work. So I love, I love your questions. So in my, I would call it a conduit more than a channel or or a mediator. But um, yeah, I know what you mean, uh, you know, a a a go-between, if you will, a translate. So yeah, definitely. So in the gatherings, so there are spiritual gatherings, and it depends, of course, on what the class is. Are we working on intuition? Did you sign up to know what's on the higher realms of light? Depends on what the focus of the class is, but invariably angels will sneak in every time, and people will invariably, there'll be someone who wants, knows, needs to connect to the angels in a deeper way, or they they need a healing uh so that they can come more present and really have deep compassion with their whole human experience, being a very sensitive because these these people, these beings who've come more recently from the angelic tend to be very sensitive, impacts. This level is a little harder to navigate, time and space, or you know, they're probably usually graceful or athletic, but they have weird bruises that'll pop up or like spilling things because they're just still getting used to the body. It doesn't mean they're a new soul, they're not a new soul, probably. And so, yes, we'll will I will, and I do definitely bring forward messages from the angelic, uh, from through the the language, I'll bring forward messages, meditations more commonly. And the value of doing it in a group is that you have a you have a group energetic, you know, a collective energy that can help the individual rise further and faster as well.

Okay. Now, do you believe in like guardian angels?

SPEAKER_03 19:41

Like Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. I mean, definitely we do we all have, I think guardian angels are one of one of the ways that spirits started mixing the realms, you know. We have these beings that are not physical, they're not physical. Can they take a body? They can. They can if there's a purpose to it. That's be more of an archangel that would do that. You know, we all we've heard all the we've all heard miracle stories, and I've certainly, because of my line of work, heard a ton of them where, you know, the fireman entered a house and and and um and woke up the child who woke up his parents and you know saved everybody because there was a gas lake. And then there's no fireman in the house. They're like he's like, Where's the fireman? They're with it. That was an angel. Do you know? We all have those stories, or the person who we have this incredible connection with, then we turn around and they're gone. So they do enter bodies, but it's it's usually for a divine purpose. Um, guardian angels are always with us before our first breath and after our last breath, sometimes across many lifetimes, uh, sometimes not, depending on what our karma dharma is for that time. And that's a good way to connect to the angelic. If you're like, well, I want to connect to an angel, but it seems like a long-distance call. Your guardian angel's always with you, often on your right side. Not always, they can be in front. If you're trying to connect to them, I would recommend you see them in front of you and ask them to come in in a way you can proceed. Okay. Okay.

That that's uh I think that's something I some listeners will try it. I hope they do.

Okay, so I have one more tip for that if they want to connect to their guardian angel. Yeah. So realize guardian angels or archangels, you sense them with spiritual sensing, not physical sensing. So people think, oh, I need to see my guardian angel as clearly as if this happens to be a clip that makes the makes the grade, as clearly as I see your your image in front of me, or I need to hear their voice as clearly as I hear your human voice talking. It's not like that. Spiritual sensing is much more subtle and rarefied. So, again, quoting Joan of Arc, how else would I know, how else would I know angels if not in my imagination? That doesn't mean she's making it up. It means that we perceive spirit. Whatever, whether it's the divine mother, angels, Buddha with spiritual senses. So give yourself the benefit of a doubt. Like take that divine pause and realize you're probably already experiencing angels. You're just thinking you need to see fat flying babies or hot men in robes, you know? It's it's they're formless. They're essence. So if you want to connect your guardian angel or an archangel, just it's like you just take a moment and what do I see inwardly? What do I hear? Do you have a message for me? One last tip is do you have a message for me? And then obviously wait and listen and then be their voice and speak that message out loud. And that bridges that essence into physicality. Now you're hearing your own voice informed by an angelic voice, and people you'll be amazed at the messages you get in the guidance.

And the I guess the messages are such that you're like, that didn't just come from me, that came from somewhere else.

SPEAKER_03 23:03

And you can tell, I mean, you're always gonna probably while you have a body, you're always gonna have a well, wait, how do I know that's real? But when you do it enough, you you start to sense and you and you slow it down. Like the only thing I do slow is work. You know, when I'm working, I'm very methodical and patient and listening. And so you want to slow it down and just keep discerning, is this positive? Is this positive? Is this real? Now, once you get used to it, it'll be more of an unconscious competence, you know, you just do it, but yeah, you you you do start to discern, like, ah, okay, I'm surrendering and I'm allowing this to come through, and you'll sense that presence. It's always peaceful, beautiful. Not that they don't, you know, like they'll come in sometimes, especially if we're off track and go, okay, cut it out, you know. So they are spiritual warriors too. Um, but it's always positive. They're never gonna say, go yell at somebody or go, you know, do something untoward. They're always always going to be positive because they're one with spirit.

Okay. Okay, so on the opposite end of the spectrum, do you believe in are they called fallen angels, bad angels, or demons? Like in because of course there's okay, so you're like, of course, okay.

SPEAKER_03 24:25

Well, yeah. Do I do I love this concept? Of course not. Do have I seen them, sense them, been been, you know, affected by them? Of course, we we know that you know there are forces on this planet, they're really not on this planet, but we sense them into the planet, meaning they're not physical. They can unfortunately also take bodies and do. But what they do more often, so fallen angels and demons are a little different, but we're not gonna, it's not that fun to talk about, and it would take a while. But yes, so for our purposes, we'll call it the same thing: fallen angels, demons, etc. They mostly more than take a body, what they'll do is they'll influence somebody who doesn't have the most positive intention. You know, people call it a deal with the devil. That's very real, regrettably. That is very real. Do they know they're making a deal with Lucifer or Satan? Satan is Lucifer's human aspect. No, they don't. Probably not, unless they're psychopathic, which certainly happens. But most of the time they think they are connecting to something that is more powerful than them. And they are, but if their intention is not pure, they can be aligning with negativity. So fallen angels are uh Lucifer is the first, obviously. Um, you know, but fallen angels are angels that have failed to test, and they are not always often even aligning with the will of God or the divine. Okay. But what it does is it makes us so much stronger. It's like when you work out, you tear the muscle to make it bigger.

Yeah, well, I mean, listen, I was raised Catholic, so you know, we we have the I had a I actually had a priest on here who does exorcisms. He was one of it's actually one of my most popular podcasts because he talks about it and his experiences and um he went to, you know, he went to the Air Force Academy and then like became this extra, it was an interesting trajectory. It was interesting, but then one thing like I remember learning in Catholic school as a little girl is that like when you're going through like a rough time, like it's when you you're vulnerable, like you're vulnerable to a possession, as the Catholics would call it, right? Yeah, someone like I feel like that could be true. Like if if you need divine intervention or like the demonic type, like I feel like at that state, maybe both sides are trying to get to you. I don't know.

What do you think? I I agree with you. I agree with you, and I have my partner is one of the best in the world at at he wouldn't call it exorcisms, but it's what it is, you know, um, at clearing clearing negativity. So I've learned a lot about it. Not my favorite thing to do, but I'll do it if it's needed, you know, for someone. And really what that is is just going is reading the karma for the person and going, you aligned yourself with darkness when you did X, Y, and Z, you know, often it's a past life, informing this life. That's that's when I read past lives for people, I read the minimum amount I can that they need to forgive and know about, and then we'll cut the cord so they become present. I don't do past life regression, I don't want to take you back. I want to see what is incomplete back there that we can let you know about and free you from and forgive and make better choices this time around. So, yeah, it's real. Possessions are real, and what is that? That is when someone has given over their consciousness. Often drugs or alcohol can make that worse. You know, someone has given over their consciousness, and I'm not a Puritan by any means, but it's just that when we give over our consciousness to something else, then we're vulnerable. If we're in a negative state, exactly like you said, that's when we're vulnerable. If we're in a really the thing we have to watch out for is if we're in a really positive state, sometimes something can come in that will test us, and we've got to be very discerning and go, oh, I was tempted to align with this person or do that. That's not an integrity, it's not the highest good. So it we really is not to scare anybody, but just to tell us tell everybody what they already know, it's constant vigilance. I've seen, I've seen I perform. Again, we don't really call it exorcism, call it more clearing negativity, because exorcism sounds like Linda Blair in our head's gonna yeah, yeah, and it's and it's not scary. It's it's intense, but it's not scary. It's not scary because if you have protection, and we you know, who better declare dark angels than angels of light? You know, so if you have protection, which we always do, especially if you call it in, it's not scary. It's just okay, I was aligned that way, wasn't conscious of that, I forgive that. This was the karma. Okay, now I'm going to align this way, be make loving, wise choices.

What um you you mentioned before you had an experience related to health, and you might be willing to share. Oh, sure.

SPEAKER_03 29:25

Yeah, and it's it's not something I talk about a lot just because I don't want people to compare, because we all have our own karma and dharma and et cetera. But I mean it is in my book, uh, briefly. But I had in 2016, I was diagnosed with very aggressive uterine cancer, pretty much told to get my affairs in order. And I knew I knew why I had created it. And I so I said to the doctor, I just need some time to heal this. And he said, You just need some time to schedule the surgery. And then all these miracles happened. They lost my biopsy slides, and it was just a whole confluence of miracles that occurred. But it it's all those miracles started from me going, okay, I trust this is for me, not to me. And there's a compelling message in here. So I I really I really turn my work on myself, who started doing my own work with myself, because you know, it a quality that's pretty typical of Earth Angels, or recent Earth Angels, is that we'll tend to overgive, overserve, and forget about, you know, we'll tend to to to sometimes abdicate that are be a little bit in self-abnegation and not taking care of ourselves. And so the bottom line is I went to one of my clients was the doctor of the Dalai Lama, His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, very gifted physician or oriental medical doctor, now they call it traditional Chinese medicine, and he knew my work. And so he said, What would it take for you to fully fulfill your calling to bridge in the human and the angelic? And I was laying on a bamboo mat, and he said, I know at any point you can be just as conscious of the angelic as the acupunctured needle in your ribs. And he said, What is it that you need to do to completely fulfill your calling? And I knew this was an important moment, and I said, I would need to present all that I know of my work. Not, I mean, it's so easy to go like, oh, connect people to their guardian angels and the archangels, and there's a million books on that. No casting no dispersions, you know, no aspersions on any of that. It's dispersions, I think I just made up a word, aspersions on any of that. It's just saying that there was more for me to do, like to tell people, no, you it's within you, you are an archangel. You know, there's ways to connect. That's a paradigm shift. But I was afraid because it's always it's hard to be the pioneer of something new, you know. You either start a movement or you burn at the stake. That is true. Wasn't really excited about either. And was was pretty, you know, comfortable in in not being all that visible. I was very visible in in our community, but not in a wider way. And I said, and I would need to, I would need to write the book. And I knew the book I needed to write, you know, I would need to write the book and I would need to publish it, and I would need to step out from behind my partner's shadow because I was always like promoting his work, you know. So he's in the same line of work as he's a he's a spiritual intuitive uh counselor to gurus and thought leaders and very, very high-level um spiritual teachers. He's their counselor. Um, but he's very much kind of they they will tend to not, you know, he has to sign a lot of NDAs, so I can't say who, you know, but that's what he does. So, and I was, and and I, you know, I was very good at supporting him and promoting him and producing his classes, and it was time for me to step on the stage. And I was free. And so what when I said yes, I will do it, I will do it. I will write the book, I will teach the classes, I will share all of what I know. And it seemed like about a million angels joined us in the room. My body rose and fell off the mat, and and it just became the next several weeks and then months and then years of just saying yes, yes, yes, yes, I will, I will do it. So what I'm afraid, you know, what's the worst that can happen? And um uh the cancer left my body. And uh obviously there's a lot more that goes into that, but no allopathic intervention, no chemo, no radiation, etc. Yeah, it it, you know, and there was a final biopsy that showed that. And it doesn't, it's not because I'm special, it was to show me because sometimes I can't even heal a head cold. True story. And it was to show me the healing power of the archangels, right? They can change form, and to show me the power of saying yes, and we all have that power, right? What is it we are called to do? What is that next step that we're terrified of and we don't know where the net is, but we're gonna jump anyway? That's tremendously powerful, and it is healing. And so, you know, but as I know you know, these spont what they call spontaneous remissions are anything but spontaneous. Usually the person's done all made a major shift. It really is about shifting our consciousness, which is then reflected in our physicality. But I do have a caveat with that, which is that I never want to share that story and have somebody who still has cancer go, well, am I not? And it's like, no, no, no. It doesn't mean that you're doing anything whatever, less or whatever than I was. It's just that was my karma dharma. It was really my dharma. It was really saying, you know, get going here. We need you, right? And so it's very oversimplified to say, oh, well, they just still haven't you know what I mean. There's no downside to saying, what is my spiritual calling? Let me follow it in alignment with spirit, God, the universe. I don't know what it's gonna look like, but I know there's this weird special gift I have. Let me share it. There you go.

I don't know if there's uh any spiritual missions that I still have to figure out, but um well, I think you probably we all have spiritual missions that we have to figure out until our last breath. And it's just a matter of going, I'm very comfortable sharing this. Let me share this. I was not, this was not a comfortable book. I it's not the book I wanted to write. I wanted to write an accessible book, and they but but you know, the angels were in charge and they just it definitely um it's very deep and esoteric, it's very readable, it's got lots of stories and like that kind of yeah, it's reading yeah, but it's um but it's it's not a safe book, it's an edgy book.

And I like edgy better than safe, so good. Yeah, I think I do, I know what you mean though. Like some people only like to read things that make them very comfortable and don't challenge them. And I don't like that though, because I feel like I'm not growing.

SPEAKER_03 35:46

So well, it's fair, it's true. You know, we it's hard to grow in your comfort zone.

SPEAKER_01 35:50

Yeah, yeah. So even I mean, this is a lot of in your book is like nonfiction in your experience. Um, and but like even when I read a fictional book, if it makes me too comfortable, I don't like that. I like books that really challenge like my view of the world, you know. Um that make that like, oh, I don't like that. But then I kind of do because it's challenging me.

So yeah, it's growing you, like you said, it's helping you think outside the box. And um, yeah, all of my all of the stories are true. Uh some of the names and circumstances are changed because like you know, I have somebody who's a uh of public figure, you know, so I'll change a lot of that, but that's indicated in the book, but everything is true in it.

So what do you think happens when we die? Like, or do you do we go back to that realm?

SPEAKER_03 36:37

We don't. It depends. Uh we don't to no, we don't go the other place. No, no, no, no. I don't, I mean, can people that's a whole other discussion, heaven and hell and that kind of thing. But when we die as humans, we it's really, you know, I've had several people very close to me die. Both my parents died six weeks apart, then both my steps parents died six weeks apart. Oh, while writing this book. Oh, geez. Uh right. And then my best friend died of about a month ago. So I thank you. So I've been around it a lot and I've just I've really seen that it's just it's half a breath. It's so close, right? The other side. So, in my experience, when we die, we it's very ecstatic. When we because but we have to get used to the freedom of not having a body. So we'll go in a place called the halls of breast. We can you call that heaven? Of course. Is it heavenly? Absolutely. You don't really go back to the angelic realm because you've been through the angelic realm, and then you're in this realm that is beyond human or angelic. You know, do angels take you, escort you across? That's certainly been my experience every time. And that angels will help escort you across the veil. So we then we as a human, of course, the body stays as an angel. It's the opposite. I saw this when my right after my mother died. So we were very, very close. And um, and she died very suddenly right after my we had no still, they they kind of made something up on the death certificate. Like I believe she she died right after my father, father to finish the karma. They'd been divorced for 50 years, but you could tell the karma was never really complete, which so I think she followed him to complete the karma, so she didn't have to incarnate and do that all over again. And um, so the angel said, When I was I was crying under her magnolia tree, no sobbing. My mother had just died. They were pulling away in a white horse, and they said, Do you want to know what angelic death is like? And as a carrot, we'll let you follow your mother in spirit after. So, of course, I said yes. And then my sobs turned to ecstasy when they showed me an angel's body disperses to the heavens, to the light, whatever you want to call it, and silver and white light, and it remains dispersed in the heavens until the angel decides to incarnate again, and then they form the same body from their body blueprint and live again, same body, same name. We, of course, have many different bodies, many different names, where the almost everything about angels and humans is opposite, which the value there is when you connect to your angelic heritage, you receive the value of that, of that, you receive the range of now your evolution in both the human and the angelic. So, this is my kind of long answer to your question. In an angel, when they die, it's very ecstatic. And then I did follow my mother, also very ecstatic, and I've now followed several people. When you say when I say follow, I mean with my consciousness, with my awareness. Right. You weren't like following them. I was not following, that would have been really weird. Even really weird even in California. No, and it's very ecstatic, it's very ecstatic. And for an angel and a human, it's different, you know, but it's very ecstatic, and then you get have to get used to that freedom, and then you eventually you'll meet with the karmic board. I'm obviously oversimplifying this, and decide, you know, where am I going from here? Am I gonna incarnate again on earth? Am I gonna go somewhere else? What is going to happen? But it's incredibly positive. But the thing is, we don't have to die to experience those realms of light. We can experience it right within the body. And in fact, we often have more spiritual presence and assistance and help with us when we're in physical bodies precisely because it is so challenging.

Now, are you able to connect or do you try to connect to your loved ones that have passed?

SPEAKER_03 40:38

I am able to. Uh rarely do I try to sometimes I will try to. But yeah, it's pretty easy. I mean, like it's so easy, but it's you know, to connect to our loved ones who have passed. Um, it you know, in some ways, it's but you have to realize again, you know, I've been doing this forever, 30 years, you know, yeah, a little over 30 years. So, yes, we can connect to our loved ones that have passed. Um, it's easier closer to their passing, it's but you can connect to people who, you know, passed 30 years ago. But it's it's easier you have a window after they pass where they're still pretty close to earth. And um, yeah, I've connected a lot of people to loved ones who have passed and and to my own. Uh just this morning I did, as a matter of fact. So we absolutely can. We we always want to go in when we're doing that with pure intention, prayer, protection, uh, meaning spiritual protection, and with a reason to connect, you know, not that we can't just go, mom, help, but if you're gonna really go in and connect and really speak to the soul, we want to do it with mindfully and and with a lot of love.

Is there a risk involved? Is that why? Or like what?

SPEAKER_03 41:56

No, there's no risk involved. We want to do it accurately. We don't want to just be making it up in our imagination.

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_03 42:04

I mean, there's always a risk involved when we do anything. Uh, I mean, there's a risk involved when you walk out your front door, there's a risk involved with invisible things. Yes, of course, you know, could you be connecting to a demon? If your intention is not pure, sure. It's all about where my spiritual teacher used to say God is intention, which I never understood until I understood it, you know, which is really it's like, where what is your intention? I want to connect to, like my friend who just died recently was named Ted. I want to connect to Ted because I feel Ted's spirit present, and also there's something about Ted that could inform, in my case, I'm right in the middle of my book launch and doing a million beautiful podcasts like this, and it's like, you know, Ted for the highest good comes through me because Ted was a very profound spiritual being. And it's funny because he was very unassuming. And then in his memorials, when people really got to see who he was, I mean, the room was weeping like his presence was I knew it, you know, because I I'd spent a ton of time with him. So there's really no danger. The only danger I would say, as long as your intention is pure, the only it's not even a danger, the only challenge is that if you rush it and you're not really discerning, you could be disconnecting to your own high self. But so what? That's that's a good thing to do too. Yeah. What do you say to skeptics? I get it. I have a a part of me that, you know, again, the scientist in me. I say that your skepticism is is not bad. I totally get it. This stuff is weird, it's woo-woo, it's invisible. And yet, open yourself to be intellectually honest, be a little curious, and open yourself to the experience. See, a skeptic's mind, and I know because I I I wouldn't say have a skeptic's mind, but I understand it because of my family, you know. I would say there's something. You that has to know you're more than this body. That has to know if you look at all the stars that there's more than just this is not the only inhabited planet. This can't be all there is. So our mind, especially a skeptic mind, thinks I have to understand it first. And when I understand the concepts, then I'll experience it, then I'll know it. But with matters of the spirit, it's the opposite. We have to open, have faith, little sliver of faith, doesn't have to be a lot of faith, and experience, and often it's subtle, experience what's being talked about. And just that sense, like, I think there's something to this. And keep opening, allow ourselves to experience it. Once we experience it, even just a little bit, then we know more about it. Then our mind will understand.

Okay. I think that's fair. So how's the book launch going? Are you having like a big party or how's it going?

SPEAKER_03 45:01

I need a long nap after this. Oh my goodness. Um, it's great. You know, it's so funny. One of my good friends is Robert Holden. I don't know if you've heard of him. He's uh he's been on Oprah several times. He was really a pioneer of mindfulness and happiness and um wrote several books with wrote, I don't know about several, wrote books with Louise Hay, and he's a fellow Hay House author. I'm a I'm a Hay House author. And he said, so I don't know, he must have nine or ten best-selling New York Times best-selling books. He's a he's a a prolific author. And he's and he's he's also been a lifelong friend, and that well, not lifelong, but adult lifelong. And um I'm like, Robert, oh my goodness. And he said, Alicia, you gotta focus, keep going back to why you wrote the book. And he said, There is nothing like a book launch to bring up your neuroses. And it's so true. It's so true. I I I really want to do a podcast or write an article or a subtext or something telling people what not to do. Because oh my god, there's lots of people who will take lots of money from you, promising you lots of things. None of which really moves the none of which really moves the needle. Yeah. So, but it's going really well. I've been so pleasantly surprised by I'm sharing these concepts, you know. You're an aren't you are an archangel in the flesh. You can know your archangelic name, you know. And I'm full expecting, you know, how the proverbial hook like pulls you off the stage. I am full expecting that. And it's crazy. Every single time I've done scientific podcasts, you know, because I have a doctorate, sometimes you, you know, I'll get on these academic podcasts, and every single time people are like, uh, that actually makes sense. Like, yeah, it's I'm like, really? Because I thought you'd say it was weird, and they're like, Well, it is weird, but it makes sense every single time, and and uh audiences nodding heads, and you know, people are really ready. They're they're going, we need something to break here. There's there's there's more to life than what I'm seeing. And so it's been very pleasantly surprised by that people are open, you know, they're very open and going, Yeah, that that actually makes sense. And yes, I am doing two launches, an online launch on Saturday, uh, July 18th, with Andrew Harvey, Sonia Stroquette, Robert Holden, and Marie Diamond. These are all spiritual thought leaders, influencers, uh, and wonderful friends. So I'm doing that on Saturday morning. And so that'll be the online launch. And then I'm doing a party uh in LA on Tuesday, and I have uh lots of origin music music musicians doing beautiful songs, a Grammy nominated poet. I'll be reading from the book, and you know, basically it'll be a celebration, which I really encourage any author to do. Once your book is launched, that happens to be my pub date, the 21st. So when I I really recommend, and this came from Reed Tracy, who's the CEO of Hay House. He's like the in-person launch is really for the author to celebrate, you know. The online launch is like, yeah, let's sell a lot of books.

But so that's what I'm doing. Well, congratulations. Okay, and yeah, I hope it goes real. I'm sure it'll go well. And there's I you know, I the reason I started to add the spiritual realm to the podcast, and obviously I've I've I'm surrounded by skeptics and people like Aaron, that's crazy. Why are you doing that? You're gonna take away from your podcast. And I'm like, no, because I really do feel that there's like a spiritual realm at that and people are searching for it. Like you can kind of feel it. You might not be able to put words for it, but that's kind of why I started to do this, because I'm like, you can see that people are searching for something more that's not being met, you know, by the physical realm or you know, not being meant in the mental health realm. So like what is that? What is that?

SPEAKER_03 48:45

So I think you're smart. I think you're smart to do it because people are so they are searching, and now more than ever. Again, I've been doing this forever. I have friends who've been doing it for longer, and like Sonia Shroquette, 27 books in something like 37 languages. She's been teaching intuition for 50 years. And she says people are a million times more open now than they were in the past. You know, there's you can just feel it. Yeah, there's a lot of darkness going on, you know, especially in America, but but well, not especially everywhere, but there's much more light. There's much more light on the planet, and there's so many reasons to be hopeful and optimistic because people are open. And who cares? What religion can we stop arguing about God? Please, you're right. Who cares? I am a big, like, yeah, I'm an ordained uh Christian minister. I'm also equally committed to my eastern path of mysticism. I am the product of a dark Indian physician father and a platinum blonde southern bell mother. Oh, really? Oh, yeah. Oh yeah. I came out like this, right? And and so my passion is, you know, let's come together. Who cares if you're chanting this and you're incanting that? Like it's all one, you know. So people, I think that's where people get caught up of oh, it's not my religion. It's like it's not your religion, it is everybody's religion.

Right, right. Amen. Hopefully, hopefully that happens. So it's like I feel like real humans and religion always equal some kind of war.

SPEAKER_03 50:26

Fair, totally fair. But it is getting better. It is getting better, you know. Yeah, I know there's still jihads and holy war, holy works, which is such a dichotomy of terms to me, a holy war. But you know, it is getting better, um, where there's just such wisdom and all the ancient texts, and I think it I I mean, I might be misinformed because I'm in California where we tend to be a little more you know, California, exactly. But um, my family still, my brother and sister, who are of course MDs, like I said, you have to be an MD in my family, are in the deep south still. Oh wow. So you just have to meet people where they are. Like, do I go and talk esoterics with my brother and sister who are deep southern Baptists? I do not. Do I go to church with them? Absolutely. Do I like meditate while they're praying? Absolutely. You know, they're half Indian too. And so you just have to meet people where they are and go, I'm gonna utilize this part of it, and the rest is not for me, but I I still respect that it is for you.
