True Self Podcast

Ep. 11: Feelings are like farts.

Byanka Randolph and Yahaira Yescas

Let's talk about how difficult it is to ask and accept help when you know you need it. Byanka and Yahaira both admit that this is a problem that they deal with constantly. Going through this thing called life, we expect to go through it alone and be able to solve our problems by ourselves. Well, that's simply not true. We all need coaches and mentors to help us along the way, especially when it comes to weight loss.

We go in and out of subjects but the overall theme here is realizing that eating for health and longevity is not the same as eating for performance or aesthetics. The point of the podcast is to bring to light that extreme dieting and diets are being peddled as healthy. Health is the act of taking care of your body for longevity purposes and aesthetics are merely a side-effect of this.

There are a few tears shed...again. But, they aren't in vain. There's some real impactful topics at hand so we hope you enjoy!

Nutrition is of the utmost importance for a healthy life. Focusing on food quality and eating mostly whole foods is the key to good nutrition. People who are eating a standard American diet made up of mostly processed foods, will admit that they don’t usually consume fruits and vegetables every day. The USDA’s dietary guidelines recommend any where from 5-13 servings of fruits and veggies daily. Adding variety is another factor as well. JuicePlus has made it simple in bridging the gap in our daily nutrition, putting whole foods in capsules. If you want to improve upon your health with a simple step add Juice Plus to your daily routine. Visit: http://br81807.juiceplus.com
