Santy Gutierrez - Do the work, embrace the momentum and love the journey

I met Santy on the courts of Delray Beach Tennis Center playing Pickleball. After seeing him over and over we realized we had a lot of mutual contacts, connections and shared similar stories in turning tragedy into triumph. I asked him to come on the show to share his journey of growing up in South Florida as a first generation immigrant and overcoming the challenges of young adulthood and addiction.  

Santy shared of his tough childhood in trying to put on appearances in front of his friends, his parents sacrificing and providing everything and anything necessary to help him fit in. From a young age, Santy felt like he didn't belong and it led him down a path riddled with doubt, fear and eventually coping by using drugs and alcohol to numb his pain. A friends father from his childhood eventually provided some guidance and help in finding a new path which led him to learning more about his true purpose and giving back to those that struggled with the same addictions. Santy learned everting by immersing himself in his own recovery process, helping around a facility, driving vans, sweeping and working with others. 

In doing so, Santy created his own business based on what he valued and loved the most; helping others and providing a safe place for people to get well and recover. What started out as a small venture grew and while there were challenges along the way with business and partners he went all in and kept going. His story embodies resilience, effort and never giving up on his dreams. He now employs many people who share his values, his family who always provided for him and continues to seek and chase after his passion of health, wellness and giving back to the community.
