Hi, welcome to What's the Word. I'm your host, Jamie McFadden. I'm so excited to have you here. This podcast is all about faith, self-care, and the journey of parenthood. I will be interviewing some of the most inspirational people I know. So join me and let's grow together on What's the Word. Well, hello, and welcome back to What's the Word. I'm your host, Jamie McFadden, and I have a very special guest for you all today. I don't know if you know her, but by the end of this episode, in fact, probably by the first two minutes, you're going to absolutely fall in love This woman is someone who came into my life a few years back, and she is someone I would consider, without a doubt, an angel walking among us. There are very few people on this planet that I can say that about who is someone who so generously, continuously gives of herself to every single person she interacts with, the way she shows up, not just online, but in real time, in real life. Yes, I've gotten the opportunity to meet her a few times and squeeze her. And she's someone who is a serial entrepreneur. When I say that, I'm telling you. She's got Virtue Beauty Company. She's got Faithfield Collective. She helps coach and consult entrepreneurs like myself. She helps people build their brands. She helps people to create their stand store, digital marketplace. The list goes on and on. She is also a mother of a young son who is going to start kindergarten very soon. We'll talk about that, I'm sure. And a dedicated wife. She is also, like me, a follower of Jesus. We'll probably talk about our relationship in that as well. And, and... she has literally been in this moment currently going through an experience that many of us will know somebody who goes through this but may not ever have to go through this she is someone who is currently right now going through just finished up i think didn't you just finish up just finished up her radiation and treatment for breast cancer and she is someone who i look up to every day i keep her my prayers every day And she is here with us right now to bestow some of her wisdom, some of her knowledge, her grace, her love, and her beauty for this life that she lives. So with no further ado, welcome Brooke Burke. Oh wait, she also has the Activated Entrepreneur podcast. How could I forget to mention that? There's so many things. Anyways, hi Brooke.
SPEAKER_00:what a welcome hi jamie thank you thank you for thank you for having me today thank
SPEAKER_01:you beautiful moment in this time i just feel so honored to have you here among literally all of the different treatments that you've been going through among the different brands and businesses that you are still currently upholding and running. Your son, who is about to start kindergarten, your family has been in town, and you so graciously, this is Brooke, everyone, she so graciously said, absolutely, I would love to be there. Here's the time I have available on Monday. I would love to do that. And here she is. So thank you again, Brooke, for making the space and time.
SPEAKER_00:You're so
SPEAKER_01:welcome. I would do anything for you. And these are the people. So Brooke came into my life, and it is one of those situations where you can very quickly learn, like your soul sees one another. And I feel like from the moment I met you, immediately I was drawn to your energy, and I feel like immediately we had this kind of sisterhood. Now, lo and behold, we're on What's the Word? We're going to talk about scripture. We're going to talk about getting deep into our spirituality and how it touches into our lives and our businesses and everything. But when I met Brooke, I didn't know this about her. And I don't think she knew this about me because we weren't necessarily, for lack of better words, I'm going to say out of the closet, but like talking in business when I was talking on stage around her or when she was communicating with me, it wasn't like, hi, nice to meet you. What's God done to bless you? How can I pray for you today? Whereas now I would absolutely say that had I met you today. But I'd love, Brooke, for you to share a little bit about where you're at in your life right now, as you're juggling so many different things, where, where are you at in this moment right now? Uh, where am I at with him or where am I at? Wherever, wherever you feel like sharing all of
SPEAKER_00:it. Um, so I just, yeah, I want to dive into the faith piece if that's okay. Um, cause that is just where I'm at and I, um, I've continually been led by him when I surrendered and gave my life to Jesus at 36. And, uh,
SPEAKER_01:Cause I think you told me before that you also were raised Jewish.
SPEAKER_00:Well, kind of my dad,
SPEAKER_01:sorry, I just, I just want it because I think it's really interesting, especially on this podcast. This is a podcast where people know I'm not an expert. I'm not a theologian. I didn't go to school for a Bible study in scripture. I went to Catholic school. I was raised Greek Orthodox, but I very much strayed away. And so I like to be able to share real life stories of, you know, how you came to the faith and how you came to follow.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. I was raised in a family where my father's father was Jewish, but he ended up passing away very early in his life. So my grandfather passed away at 26. My father didn't know him, but the Jewish presence was very much like you're Jewish. Although my grandmother wasn't Jewish, she was Italian. So Italian Catholic. So there was just a lot of I think a lot of confusion, but also a lot of heritage that my father wanted to hold on to because losing his father was difficult. So he always claimed he was a Jew. Anyhow, I'm an only child and it just was, you get to be whatever you kind of want to be, but be Jewish. And then I went to Israel and I got bat mitzvahed there, but I didn't feel, I felt forced. to that religion. And I didn't have a connection to Jesus at all, or God, I mean, God. And I just felt like it was part of what was expected of me. And then I came home after Israel and was like, let's go to synagogue. And my parents were like, what are you talking about? Because they didn't practice. They weren't practicing. My mom was raised Presbyterian. So I felt very just empty because I was like, what do I do with this? And then I just strayed away from all of it, you know? And just through a lot of trauma and just, you know, gosh, I owned a bar business. I had a terrible divorce. I was really lost. I was so far away from any faith. And my friend at the time invited me to church and I was like, well, cool, you know, I'll just go. And I went and I was feeling called, but it was really in the moment that I went by myself And I felt Jesus, his presence. And I was like, I have never felt a sense of peace in this moment, a sense of love and understanding of who I am, exactly who I am through all of the decisions I made, all of the sinful decisions I made, knowing that God was with me the entire time. And through that realization and awakening, And giving my life to him, everything changed. So I, and it's like, I, this relationship has been such a blessing. And I just want to send that home to the listeners chiming in is that had I not found Jesus, I really don't know where my, I was going down a really not great path. drinking heavily, really toxic relationships, the way I was carrying myself, the decisions I was making. The person I am today is definitely not the person I was then. But yeah, so having a relationship with Jesus brought me to my son. when we talked about this a little bit before, who is an IVF baby and prayed through that of a nine-year wait of infertility. Jesus has brought me through the toughest stage of my life and that is fighting breast cancer and double mastectomy and radiation and just the piece of who I am because I feel like for so long I wore a mask to please people, to be someone I wasn't. I was constantly like, oh, who am I? You know, through college, I was trying to be something I was not through owning my bar business. So now I'm like fully, this is who I am. And I'm loved by the highest of high. And that is the Lord. And I just let him lead my life. And he's just never let me down. And especially through my cancer diagnosis, I didn't, I'm kind of getting emotional. No, if I'd be here today, because when I
SPEAKER_01:got there, I don't know if you could see tears coming through my eyes right now, because I remember being on a call together and you had just gone in to get, to get your initial, like this was before you even knew. Remember my
SPEAKER_00:screening?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Yeah. And you had said to me on that call, you know, I just, I, I'm waiting to hear back from them or something like that. And then the next conversation we had, you were like, Oh, remember? Cause I think I sent you a voice memo or something. And I was like, I'm just checking in, you know, this and that I'm praying for you. And then you were like, um, yeah. So I have to go back and I have to go get this other biopsy and I have to, you know, this and that. And this is how long ago was that?
SPEAKER_00:Oh my gosh. So it's now been, oh my gosh, five months.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Five months. Five months of complete game changer. And the faith that you have shown. I mean, for those of you that don't know Brooke, please, you can click in the show notes and you can go look at any and all of her different websites, businesses, brands, all the different things. And every single thing that she touches, I fully 110% support, which is why I'm so excited to feature her on What's the Word? Because she is the epitome of when I think about faith, I think about action. When I think about faith, I think about discipleship. I think about the discipline. I think about, it's not like, you know, showing up just because you want to show up. It's like, there's going to be a lot of days in this life where you don't want to do the thing. And Brooke is the epitome for me of someone who still shows up, honors where she is, honors who she is, authentically shows up and still puts her face on, gets on that camera, helps someone else, serves, shows up. and pays it forward continuously, giving the grace to God all the time. So can I ask you something? Because I think in a world right now where so many of us get caught up in the stress of life, the mundane things, the pressures of the stuff going on with our kids and school and whatever, you have a situation like what you are currently, the season you are in right now, where you just said yourself you didn't know if you'd even be here right now. How do you hold on to that light? How do you hold on to that faith in the darkness?
SPEAKER_00:Well, it is being in the word. And a verse I just want to share is Isaiah 43, 19. See, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs up. You do not perceive it. I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. And it was just that verse for me was renewal, gave me fresh vision in the darkest of times. And I also, something that helped me that was really cool, James, like when I was probably a week out of my mastectomy, my double mastectomy, I because of the pain, just like couldn't sleep. And I was just, you know, your pain being by yourself and having pain is, is hard, right? Cause it's like middle of the night. You don't want to bother. I didn't want to bother my husband. I was just kind of sitting with it. I had to be so present. And, um, there is the, um, I think you've heard of it. It's the four 32 HZ.
SPEAKER_01:Um, yeah, it hurts. Yes. And so God was on repeat.
UNKNOWN:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:told me to put it on my ears. He's like, put this on your ears. But it was worship music and then a way of worship music. And I want to cry. It helped me get through that night. Not, not drugs, not anything in the natural. I mean, it was true. Well, it was the natural, but I, cause sometimes I can't do, I felt like I couldn't receive like worship. I'm like, I can't even worship. I can't put my arms up. But that just put me in a state of like such calm that I would say, thank you, Lord. Thank you for this. Cause I was receiving, you know, worship music, but I was just in a state of pain, you know? So that helped me through. And I obviously like, I just, I find so much joy in what I do. I find joy in my friendships. I mean, the people, the people who have come, around me, it's just, there's really no words for that. They have, they have helped me. You have helped me with your checking in. I mean, I just can't put it into words how much that's meant to me, all the people who have rallied behind me. So that gives me like, oh, wow, I'm, I feel so loved, you know?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
UNKNOWN:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Okay. Well, if y'all, Ryan just yet, hold on. So we're going to go into the darkness for a minute, if that's okay with you. Yeah. Come out on the light as we are right now in the light. But I think no matter what, all of us are going through something at any given time in this life. And so for those that are listening, we're here because we're choosing to be here. We're choosing to show up. And because we also want for each other to feel seen and heard and to know that we aren't alone. And I think that's the biggest reason why I brought back what's the word is because I really want to instill the belief that there is a chance for hope and faith, that there is something out there, even if you have different beliefs than Brooke and I, even if right now you're sitting here going, well, I don't, I haven't heard God talk to me or I don't see Jesus or, you know, this is how I was raised. So I don't really believe that. Let's just put some of that aside for a minute and let's just be honest. I want everybody that's listening right now to think about a time when you went through something or maybe it's right now that's really dark. Like right now, Brooke just said, and I do want to tap into this, if it's okay, Brooke, with your permission, you had shared the honest truth that you didn't know if you would be here right now based on real life situations that you are currently in a season of complete unknown and pain. And there is suffering and there is a lot of decisions you've had to make that some of them I'm sure were very difficult. Do I do this? Do I do that? What treatment route do I go? Can you, if it's okay, go to a space where you felt the darkness of it, where you started to feel, you know, I don't know if it was like any moments where you felt like, how am I going to do this? Or can you explain to someone listening right now, how do you hear yourself? God's voice or, or how did that come through for you? Cause I love that you brought up, you know, and I know that I have that as well because I've been open to it, but it's, I want to hear from, from you in those dark moments. How do you still hear that?
SPEAKER_00:Well, so just going back when I went in for my mammogram and then they asked me to come back and then get my biopsy. So This all happened on a Friday. And so they said that I'd have to wait until Monday to get the results. And then I got the LabCorp, uploaded the results to my portal. And I was able to decipher those results with the help of ChatGPT. So yeah. I knew then, um, through chats, you know, relaying to me that I had cancer, but I didn't know, like you said, like what I said before, if I, if it was terminal, like if I would be, um, I don't, I just didn't know. And I thought I messaged my really good friend and I, we got on a call and I was like, I just really want to see my son grow up. I want to see him get married. And I was bawling. And she's like, you need to come to church. You need to come to church on Sunday. Cause like this is Friday, right? So I just, I was like, gosh, I really don't want to be around people. And I don't know. I just feel like the power of being like having people lay hands on you. And I firmly believe in that when you're the darkest of dark is getting around people who have unwavering faith and, um, and it doesn't have to be necessarily church or wherever, but, uh, to not isolate yourself so that, cause I was like, I could literally just go down a, a really giggle, go scary here. Right. And so I chose with my friends speaking life into me, like you need to come to church on Sunday. And I did. And so having people lay hands on me, um, was amazing. And I'm just like crying and releasing and not knowing. And, um, that, that was very helpful. Yeah. Very helpful. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:I think you, you, you brought up something that I think for so many, we tend to isolate when we're feeling, you know, especially those of us that are really strong and we're usually taking care of others. And we're usually the person that's doing that. I say this myself as well, it's very difficult to receive that in those dark moments of life where you're like, and so to be able to surrender like you brought up earlier, I think is the other key and also recognizing that our social, you know, I've studied self care for the last 20 years, and over and over and over again. social self-care is one of the biggest key markers for longevity. And they studied all these people in their eighties and nineties and hundred years old. And over and over and over again, it was the relationships that they had in their life. And one of those relationships is with spirit and with our spirituality. And the other one is actually the people in our lives. So thank you for bringing that up because I think it is really important for anyone that's listening right now. Like Brooke and I met, we could say by chance, but we're all connected and we all, the minute that we allow ourselves to surrender to whatever it is and accept and embrace whatever it is, so much beauty is, is in there and let's talk about actually your latest brand that i love that my son ate one of the lipsticks thank goodness it's organic he ate i was so excited it's like my favorite mauve color i was like yes um yeah oh i just need to order another one but he was like oh you know like went ham on it for you know you can't leave anything anywhere with a tar um but anyways let's let's really quick go to one of the light moments because now you created many companies you've created my brands you've you've i mean there's so many i can't even list all of them but for for the sake of right now because i want i want somebody to actually you know what i'm going to ask you something i'm going to buy someone a beauty product from virtue beauty who shares this episode with somebody and tags both of us so i'm i'm I'm taking that off your plate. So for somebody, if you're listening right now, go check out Virtue Beauty. And what's the website? Or is it just on your?
SPEAKER_00:VirtueBeautyCo.com. That's what I thought.
SPEAKER_01:VirtueBeautyCo.com. Go there right now. Go look and see what you like. And then take a little screenshot of this. Post it to any social media, wherever you are on. And tag both Brooke and I. And you can see both of our Instagram and whatever handles in the show notes. And enter to win a beauty product from me. Now, can you tell us a little bit about what led you to create this beautiful brand?
SPEAKER_00:Oh, wow. Okay. So just very quickly, I, at the end of 2024, was feeling, you know, a business coach. I lead masterminds. I was leading these dinners. And I, last year, I really do feel like God was just prepping me for what I'm going through now. And, uh, I was feeling pretty burnt out and I was like, gosh, Lord, like, what is my next? Do I keep going the way I've been going? And he was just like, I really want you to get quiet. So I, in November was going to the gym and I feel very close to the Lord at the gym. I just always hear from him at the gym. It's, it's crazy. It's because I'm just so in tuned. Like I, I love moving my body. And so I was in the sauna and on my phone, this podcast kept coming down, which I hadn't listened to, Jamin, forever. And it was from my old church and it was Money is the Root of All Evil. And it kept popping down on my phone. And I'm like, why is this? I don't believe money is... the root of all evil why does it keep comping down so god's like you need to listen to this and i was like fine and i was kind of doing it kicking and screaming like you know he just loves us his children and i was like i'm gonna listen to it and it was like no money is not the root of all evil money in the right hands is good it's it's virtuous it's um You know, there was a woman in the Bible, Lydia, who I'm obsessed with, who was a convert, much like me, who lived in Macedonia. And she helped the apostles through her. She was making this beautiful velvet, like, cloth almost, like these, not capes, but for the wealthy during the time. And she was funneling part of her profits to the apostles and housing them. And she was just using her business as a vessel, like what we're all doing essentially to help, you know, spread the word. So, um, they're telling the story on the pocket and I'm just getting full body chills from head to toe. And God's like, you need, cause like all my businesses up until this point, I mean, our battle business, we did share a little bit, you know, that we're faith, faith fueled and faith led, but not, not fully leading. And so he's like this, this, um, you need to, you need to create something that is for the kingdom. And so when came home, I didn't know what would be a beauty brand, but I sat in chat GPT and I was like, Lord, let lead me through the chat GPT, not let chat GPT lead me. And so I was like, okay, with who I am, my faith, my values, what should I create? And so that's how virtual beauty was created. I don't know, created, birthed, whatever. And so, yeah, I held on to it for a little bit. And I was just creating it all on the back end. I was in Shopify. And God just really gave me the focus because I'm very ADHD. And he gave me the focus through the holidays. And I just created this whole brand. And then I launched it in January. And it's done really cool things so far. So I'm really excited about it. It's beautiful. Your products are stellar.
SPEAKER_01:And I have to also say. All clean. Yes. All clean and all. There's so many wonderful things I love. But what I really like was initially when you had shared this with me. uh there is and i won't i don't like giving negative reviews my grandma always said if you have nothing nice to say you don't need to say anything and i agree with that i actually wholeheartedly agree but there are certain brands out there that i especially with having an eight-year-old daughter who wants to take makeup and put it on these days she'll read the back of what the name of something is and there's a lot of really really vulgar names that i you know i know they're cheeky and you know seemingly creative and Once again, I'm not here to slam what someone else is doing. I'm just here to say that it doesn't really align with. So I was feeling less prone to buy certain products. And so when you had shared with me that some of these names of these products had backstories and like you had said, Lydia, like, you know, just I really was drawn to that as well, because I think that there's something that's deep, deeper than what meets the eye, literally. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. The beauty history is very sexualized. And that was something I was like, God was showing me and just being on this side of breast cancer and knowing how my breast cancer works, um, Because I just want to send this home to everyone. Not all breast cancer is the same. And so my breast cancer is fueled off hormones. And I know God is showing me that the products that I have used, the products we use are a huge contributing factor to cancer. And it's what's really sad. And I just want to share this with the world is that one out of three women will get cancer in their lifetime. I mean, one out of two men are going to get some chronic disease, cancer. So, yeah, I'm adding one more notch in my belt.
SPEAKER_01:Of course she is. Of course she is. What are we doing next, Brooke? Where are we going next, Brooke?
SPEAKER_00:Well, I'm wrapping it in my coaching programs, and I think maybe you've seen me talk about it, about living benefits. And God has shown me this, and it's crazy– how nine years ago I was at an event and it's never left my mind. Um, and a woman who's a faith too, that he brought back into my life to help entrepreneurs and just anyone with living benefits, because here's the thing. We are all going to face some type of life altering moment that is not going to allow us to work. And one of the things that I realized is that when I was, when I got my diagnosis and when I was sitting with as well, and that was dark for me is that, am I going to be able to still bring in my businesses still need me? I'm just going to be real. I can't just walk away from them and keep making money. There's not a lot that do
SPEAKER_01:right.
SPEAKER_00:And so energetically they need me mentally. They need me. Some of them need me physically. And so I was sitting with, do I have to. sell some? Do I have to file for disability? Will I be able to even work and still make an income? I was looking at grants for entrepreneurs that had cancer. There is nothing, nothing out there. So as I'm going along in all of this, God is showing me living benefits and I'm like, I reached out to my friend, Kristen, who's in my faith field group. And I'm like, can we talk about these? Do I have these on my insurance? And she's like, you have the one, the one is a writer and it's called accelerated death. And so if they were to tell me tomorrow, you have 24 months to live or even 12 months to live, I could pull from that policy and and either fight harder, get more options, pay off my debt, travel if I wanted. Whatever I wanted to do, I could essentially take out 80% on this particular policy, which is awesome. It's awesome. Because I don't want to put my family in even more of a thing when I'm here alive, right? But there's other policies That even if you are going through radiation, chemo, you're still living, but you're not able to, you know, go into work or you need to take the time off to heal, you know, you can still pull from it and do the things you need to do. So I am shouting it from the mountaintops that every... Like everyone needs it, but every entrepreneur, if you do not have this safeguard, you need to go get it today because you need to do it as you're healthy. Cause you can't do it when you're not. I literally, once I realized that we didn't have the chronic and critical, I said to my person, Kristen, I said, I want my husband on. I want my husband to get one right now, right now. Cause he has disability and he has whatever, but I was like, he's healthy. God forbid. So we got him a million dollar one. So if my husband were to get cancer and get sick, we could literally pull 90% of this policy. That's only$200 a month. In my mind, I'm like$200 a month. So I can sleep better at night. If my husband were to get cancer or have a stroke or a heart attack that we could pull up, we could pull$900,000 out. If we wanted, if we chose to say, I'm going to take him to the best hospital. Um, We're going to pay off all our debt. So we don't have to worry about him having to go back to work until a long, long time. You know what I'm saying? So people don't know that living benefits are a thing. And I'm here to say anybody who works with me, we're going to figure it out.
UNKNOWN:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Because passive income is great. And I, I, I, I sing it to the mountaintops, but passive income still needs you.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:You have to keep... It's evolving. It'll carry you for a while, but it's not going to carry you if you were fighting cancer. I'm just going to be real.
SPEAKER_01:Right.
SPEAKER_00:So... It gets me excited.
SPEAKER_01:So no, I love this. Okay. So now, I mean, you, you've sold me. I mean, this is going to be a whole nother conversation that you and I are.
SPEAKER_00:Oh yeah. I sold some. Well, Sam too. Sam and I have been talking a lot about it too. Like all the people in my life. It's like, if you're in my life, you're I'm, I'm asking you, do you have it?
SPEAKER_01:Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00:And we're going to look at if you have it.
SPEAKER_01:And I met through Samantha joy, who actually she's going to do an interview. I interviewed her a long, long ago on what's the word when it first launched in 2020. And so now that we're, you know, back at a whole different way and she's been and kind of stepping into a really interesting, beautiful spiritual journey right now that it's been fun watching, I think from the sidelines and being, yeah, I know where I'm like, Ooh, this is fun. Uh, but yeah, I'm excited to get her back on, but she is somebody that, you know, she, I feel like she's the ultimate connector for so many of the greatest people that I've ever, ever met. And I look at Samantha and I'm like, thank you so much for those kinds of connections like this. that had it not been for her, I don't know where or when I would have met you. And I'm just so grateful and how we can all just kind of support one another. I think that's the other part of, you know, in wrapping this podcast, because I will kind of try to keep it at the 30 minute ish range is, you know, we are all connected in some way, shape or form and how we show up with ourselves, how we show up with our family, how we show up when we go to the grocery store and whatever else, regardless of what's going on in our life, because there's going to be things that are going to happen that knowing that when we show up someone also is probably going to show up for us like the way that brooke shared the people that have shown like obviously i wasn't surprised and and i i know like all of us collectively like i'll talk with samantha and we'll both be saying a prayer for you on the call and i know that we're one of many who are doing this and i think that's part of what keeps us all going in this life. I don't think life was meant to be easy. I don't know. Maybe that's just me. But for those that are confused of like, why is this so difficult? And I'm like, Uh, who told you when you were born that this was supposed to just be ease, right? Yes. I don't know. But, but if you do have that route, you know, sure. Fill us in and let us know. But I just watch you and I'm just in awe all the time of the way that you show up. And I just want to support everything that you are doing. And so on that note, can you please let us, myself and anyone that is listening know, how can we truly best support you right now, Brooke? You're always giving everybody, how can we support you? Please share the ways. Well, you know me,
SPEAKER_00:I love to take what I do to support others through what I've experienced. So the best way, because October's coming up, I'm gonna be doing something really cool for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, because I know there's so many people who are choosing to go through it privately. Awesome, I have a few friends who are choosing that route. I have some friends who, are going through a really, really hard time with it and they're just struggling. So if you would like to go support my beauty brand, that essentially vehicle is going to be another conduit to supporting breast cancer. So I would just be so honored if you would go try the products, share it with your friends. I get so excited about the products because they have... castor oil avocado oil in them you know they are um sourced you know responsibly sourced the products not tested on animals i mean um american made and can it and from canada they're just amazing and i feel so good about like swallowing you know like you're like swallowing the stuff like what you're you know like kids are eating i mean i don't know A lot of it would be good, but any who, so a little bit, but he just,
SPEAKER_01:Oh yeah, it was just like a little, but then I was like, okay, I can't really use this anymore.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. So please in closing. Yes. Please just go support the brand because I'm going to take this brand and I'm going to be supporting women. Um, who have gone through or coming behind me, which is, it's sad to think about, but it's a reality. I mean, it's, it's cancer is. on the rise and sadly, um, children cancer, it just, there's just not enough support around that. Only 8% of funds go to children's cancer. So I don't know. Uh, but any who, yes, this, this makes me excited to, um, make a difference. So that's what I'm going to
SPEAKER_01:do. And, and, uh, in full closing here, um, Thank you for letting us know ways that we can support you. So please go in right now, go click on the link and go buy something and then let me know what you want because one of you I'm going to buy something for. And then the other part of this is, is there something else that you would like to share about life, about what you've learned, about your legacy, just whatever's on your heart that's coming through right now that maybe that one listener really needs to hear right now?
SPEAKER_00:Okay, it's coming through. So I... You know, if you build, if you choose to build a relationship with God, okay, and Jesus and have a full relationship, no matter what the world is telling you, I'm telling you right now, your life will be full of purpose, joy, peace, even peace around transitioning and going to heaven, the ultimate gift that he can give us. I mean, I have such peace around. So I just encourage you, if you are wanting a relationship, you don't know how to have a relationship, to just go to a place where you feel that you can start that. You know what I'm saying? I don't know what that is, but it's the best gift you can give yourself is to have a relationship with Jesus. I can't even say anything more. He's the best.
SPEAKER_01:That's a mic drop moment right there.
SPEAKER_00:Yes, there's nothing in this world. There's nothing in this world. He's the king of kings. And I pray for it for everyone, to be quite honest.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Yeah. Actually, how often do you find yourself? I find myself quite often recently in prayer for those that I personally know that will look at me and kind of roll their eyes a little bit of like, Oh, we're talking about that again. Or, Oh, you know, and, and I sometimes will sit quietly in the middle of the night and I'll think about that person that I love dearly. And I'm like, man, I really, I hope that they will open that door and.
SPEAKER_00:What's the best gift you can give yourself?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Allow. Yes. It's
SPEAKER_00:the best gift. And I, I, I pray that more people find him through addiction, through, you know, idolization, through addiction to even, you know, our sinful ways. Like, you know, I mean, I have now not had an alcoholic beverage since December 31st. Just God removed it from me. It's crazy. I didn't even
SPEAKER_01:pray for it. When there's a saying and it's like, no, you don't need to go to Jesus with clean feet, like he'll wash it for you. And just when you're there, there have been so many things in my life that I look back now. And I mean, I am so grateful for God's grace like you. And I look back and go, oh, gosh, like, oh, my gosh, I can't believe I did these things.
SPEAKER_00:Yes. And he loves us. He loves us with no condition.
SPEAKER_01:Exactly. Well, I love, you know, Father Mike Schmitz. I don't know if you know of him, but he's, please go check him about Father Mike Schmitz. He does this podcast called Bible in a Year. He's also featured on the app Halo. But basically he does like a Bible study through a podcast and it's brilliant the way that he translates a lot of these scriptures. And so for people like myself who can get monkey mind or get lost of all these different things, he really dials things in and makes it so relatable. But I love that one of the things he talks about is as a parent, how much we love our children. That Our children are going to make mistakes inevitably. They're going to eat the makeup, draw on the walls, poop on the floor. I don't know. They're going to do things that are absolutely going to rile us that could be frustrating and whatever else. But there is not a day that goes by that when those kids go to bed, we don't look at them and just say, wow. I love you so much. I love you for who you are. I love you. Even if you completely made me feel like my craziest self today at some point, like I just love you. And you could look at them and, and that miraculous love is the love of God with us. Right. And, and when we can remember that, I think it, I don't know, it's, it's different, but I agree with you 100%. It's life changing. And I, I'm just so grateful to have you here today, Brooke. Thank you for making this time and this space. And I'm going to order my product right now so I don't forget. Let's see. Well, please, everyone, remember you're not alone. Whatever you're going through, you're not alone. Go give Brooke some love, some follows, some purchases on Virtue Beauty. I don't know. Are you still doing any consulting right now? Are we taking a little space from that?
SPEAKER_00:A little space from that. Good. But I also want to tell all your listeners today, get the 10% off with the code faith. So that. hopefully isn't
