Drink responsibly, don’t drink and drive, and live your life uncut and unfiltered
A bonfire barrel, a rare pour, and a bottle that overdelivers at 100 proof—this one had everything. We kicked off Bourbon on the Banks with Whiskey Thief’s farm party, then hustled through a whirlwind run of Four Roses, Wild Turkey, Buffalo Trace, and Larkin before settling into House of Commons, where the shelves read like a history book you can sip. That’s where a generous friend handed us a bucket-list dram of Old-Fashioned Copper and reminded us why community makes bourbon culture special.
Back at the booth, we recorded with Stephen Beam and Stephen Fontaine, talked Yellowstone’s new bottle, and still found time to explore McBrayer’s Cedar Brook and other up-and-comers on the festival grounds. The street festival lit up Frankfort—fire jump ropes, music, and a surprise gift: a Cathedral French Oak finish bottle signed by Steve Nally, tied to Notre Dame’s restoration. Moments like that turned a packed schedule into a memory reel.
We closed with a deep dive on Four Roses: the 10 recipes, the yeast strains, the mash bills, and why OBSK—Four Roses’ high-rye K yeast—hits that sweet spot of baking spice, fruit, and structure. Our Old Louisville Whiskey Co–style breakdown put the single barrel at 16/18: a lively nose, massive body for the proof, balanced palate, and a finish that drifts into dark chocolate and vanilla. If you’re building a hunting list, “Four Roses OBSK single barrel” belongs on it. If you’re here for stories, you’ll hear how the right crowd turns a glass into a night you’ll talk about all year.

I'm here to tell you about Whiskey Thief Distilling Company and their newly open tasting world. Whether you are up for a farm-glass distilling experience on the Three Boys Farm in Frankfurt, Kentucky, or an out-of-this world tasting experience in New York, you won't be disappointed. At both locations, their barrel fixed all day, every day, are like none of it. Each location features taken with five barrels of each drink, their pot is still burning to the rock. Once the barrels have been feeling and fixed, you can make the collection and cook your own bottles. A day at which with their friendly staff and ownership will ensure you many good times with good friends and family. Remember to always drink responsibly, never drink and dry, and live your life on fun and unfiltered. Let's get started. Excited to be here. It looks like it's a pretty big even Terry Dance on tonight. Yes, Kentucky Bourbon. We got another guy saying Evan Williams is the best. That's great. We got a lot of comments going on Facebook and YouTube. Just keep them coming. Great to be back in studio. We're going to be talking about this a little bit. Is that the season of I basically went on a run from first or second, the third week in June, all the way till the first weekend in October. It's like I've been traveling the weekends, it's just been a wild, wild ride. Started out with us in uh Kentucky with went down with Carl and it finished up with Bourbon on the Banks. There's just been so much seeing everybody. Great, great to do that. And uh, I'm looking forward to doing the little bit of the review of this. And then also uh the four we've got the Four Roses OBSK tonight. I've got I cracked it and I'm letting it air a little bit. I probably should put it into we're gonna be doing this in about 15 minutes. So let's get it into the Glen. Let's pre-pour this. Uh and it I'm excited for this one because this is a barrel pick or a barrel uh single barrel, and it's I was able to obtain the OBSK uh when it came out here in Ohio. That's not something that I thought it was going to be able to do. And when I went down to the distillery, I was able to pick up this bottle and very excited. And we'll do a little bit of um fun stuff with four roses as we go. But remember, www.scotchybourbonboys.com for all things scotchy bourbon boys t-shirts and glens. Y'all, y'all know the drill, and um hopefully we'll be doing uh now that we're home for a little bit, we'll be doing some uh of the we'll be making some of the bourbon balls for the holidays and all everybody. So let me know. We got Steven uh Steven Pitzer on tonight, also. I mean it's it's the full full gamut on Facebook. Welcome everybody. And then also remember we're on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, and TikTok now. Check us out on TikTok. Uh I you'll get a little bit of different type stuff. Um, you could be a little bit more edgy. Uh that TikTok's not now. I noticed it's different because some of the keywords and everything that I've been doing, it's been different. There used to be a lot more when I started back when you can only put five keywords into your used to be able to put thousands, you could put a hundred keywords, and they didn't say anything into your title. But now a little bit different type stuff, which is excites me. But I'm gonna we're gonna work that out. But if you haven't, follow us on TikTok now. But and then also we're on Apple iHearts, Spotify, and any place that you listen or that you watch, you know, check us out. Make sure that you leave us good feedback and subscribe. And if you can become a member on on YouTube or uh even in meta, become a member. Uh, you can even become a member on our um Buzz Sprout. If you check us out on audio at Buzz Sprout under the Scotchy Bourbon Boys, you can become a member there also. Um, become a member. There's little perks and type things, and um, you know, really kind of a lot of cool things uh that happen uh be by being a member. So that brings us to the fun part. I wish that um Super Nash or CT had joined us. Uh that would have been a lot better for this, but uh I'll do a review with them because I'm sure they're gonna think about you know different things. But it was Roxy, myself, Tiny, and then also uh CT and that we were supposed to go along with Whiskey and his wife. That's what was supposed to happen. What did happen blows my mind, and so uh from the time we did the the podcast with uh Diane, Renee, and Amsey, uh our Airbnb for the five of us that we had the year before that we really liked. I was actually gonna do the chocolate tour this time, canceled on us, and that was kind of stunning because you know it's it's a festival that's festival week, and the place there's a lot of people in for the bourbon uh festival. So Frankfurt's hotels are filled up. So we went searching and found another Airbnb. Uh was able to book it. Three bedrooms, a very uh fantastic Airbnb on Randolph Street in Frankfurt, and uh nothing but uh perfect, three bedrooms, uh everything was clean, and you know, and so uh initially we go down. I take that Friday off, so we would leave early, early morning, 3-4 in the morning, uh, get down with all the equipment, drop it off at the riverfront site because Friday is drop off. Now I would have to say the first two years, the drop-off and the pickup, we did not have it down. And now this year we had it down. We were able to do everything we needed to do, get it dropped off um on that Friday. But um, that's that's what we were set up to do. Then what happened was that Whiskey Thief, um, which uh throws a kickoff party at their farm in Frankfurt, in the Frankfurt area, because that's where Bourbon on the Banks kicks off. So we decided this year that we're gonna I was gonna take a half day on Thursday. We'd hop in the car and we'd drive down, and we got there about 6.30 after driving from I believe it was 1 to 6.30 to get there. Um, got there, fantastic time. Um great evening. Uh it was from 6 to 9. We got there at 6.30. Uh, I will have to say, Willem, great shout out, who is Walter Zausch's nephew, um, recognized me. And so uh what the the the what would you say? I felt like uh I was 100% treated special. Thank you, Willem, for that. And then also thank you, Walter, for everything. But we got down there, we did, we take we listened to the music, tasted, watched the the bonfire. They burned a barrel. That was really kind of cool, watching them burn a whiskey barrel uh in the in the bonfire, and then uh after it was all over that we we had some food, and after it was all over, uh we went back uh to we went to the Airbnb and CT went to the House of Commons, and that was kind of when uh that was Thursday night, and myself, Roxy, and um Brent Elliott was there. Um, and he is the master distiller of four roses. That's another reason why we're doing the four roses OBSK. Um, got to talk a little bit with him. He was there with his wife and uh and his daughter, I believe just his daughter, I want to say. And then uh David Sandlin, the owner, was nothing but short of spectacular, took care of uh the Scotchy Bourbon boys, we had fun, and uh it was what would you say, uh really cool night. Went back to the Airbnb, woke up the next morning, I believe me, and at about 9.30 that night, or the night of that Thursday night, I talked to Super Nash, and he said he was coming. He was gonna go to his car his cardiac appointment, and then he was gonna hop in his um SUV and drive up, which at this point then it becomes that would give us six at the Airbnb, which it'll hold, but we weren't sure what was happening. So we wake up the next morning, we get the we go to the cracker barrel for for breakfast with CT, and then we head over to um drop off all the equipment at noon, dropped it all off, got it, and got out. And that's when the fun started or again. Uh we went to Four Roses where I was able to pick up this OBSK. And then um we after we went to the Four Roses, we decided to go to Wild Turkey. And at Four Roses, um had a drink, uh, checked out their awesome gift shop. And then we went to after Four Roses, went to Wild Turkey, and at Wild Turkey, uh we checked out their gift shop. Uh CT was able to get a bottle, the last bottle of the eight-year Wild Turkey 101, and I was able to get a bottle of uh Lilyn Bond Lil Lil and Bond. Lil Lillard and Bond. That's what I got. A bottle. So it completes my collection again of uh WB Saffel and Lillard and Bond. I have a little bit left from the last time, but now I have a full bottle of Lillard and Bond to go with my full bottle of WB Saffle. So those two are great um pickups. So was able to pick that up. We had a drink there, it was uh coffee-infused drink, which was very unique, and um got to keep the glass, that was cool, and then we after that we went to Larkin and had a slushy at Larkin. Greg was not there. Um, we were hoping to see Greg when we stopped by, but that's fine. And then we went over to Buffalo Trace, did the tasting at Buffalo Trace, picked up a bottle of Blanton's, and then from there uh we went to dinner. And dinner, uh, I will just say that I'm not gonna say one thing or another, um, good or bad. I'm not gonna uh was not the what was it was it was a great place, but uh well some things happened, and it was that that was the only thing that I would say that went wrong during the whole thing. So, anyways, so after dinner we went back over to um House of Commons, where we left, we had we left a little bit and then came back, and when we came back, um we had met up with Amsey, and then also Randy Ford was in town, and we basically, I don't remember who Amsey was with, what his name was, but he was um I I'm not even gonna get into the details. All I know is he was a special person, it was great to meet him, and the pour that we shared uh was off the charts. It's why I'm in bourbon, is that old-fashioned copper is excuse me. Wow, learned to swallow. Anyways, old-fashioned copper is the 2025 is is always been a bucketless pour. It's an expensive bottle that I would never pay the money that kind of money for. Even the pourer, I believe, was$300 for an ounce. And he bought Roxy, CT, Pamsey, me, himself. Roxy, me, CT, and and at this point, Super Nash. Super Nash had made it there. So during the day, he had left, he brought uh air mattress, and so Super Nash makes it. It was awesome. So the six of us had a pour. Uh Roxy is not a huge um person who likes a lot of oak or likes um a lot of um, she doesn't like dusty, moldy kind of stuff. She can pick up that stuff. So so Randy Ford, who was there, got got to taste that too. So we got to pretty much take that off our bucket list, and that's just an honor um to have that happen that right there. And then I've got a share screen for everybody. You might be able to hear it on the audio, but let's see. Um to go back here. I gotta come over here. I believe it's when I want to share my I didn't want to do that. Let's take that back down. Let's go share. There we go. All right. No, host tools at more. No, right there, share. All right, there we go. And the screen I want to share is right there.
unknown:Shh.
SPEAKER_01:Share. So right now, you guys can see that this Martha Lane Collins inauguration 1983 bottle of Maker's Mark for her inauguration was there. And so we, and you can, I'm gonna play this. All right. Nope, that's not the one. All right, there's one. There it is. That's the one I will play. This is we, Super Nash, myself, and CT, I took Roxy home because Roxy was just beat at this point, and so I took her home and drove back. And while we're back, um David poured us this maker's mark. Just a tip. He said, I don't think we can do it.
SPEAKER_04:Are you giving us permission to drink? Like, whatever the hell you want, I don't care. I know. It's just like, please drink, we have too much. But the problem is they go for all the stupid shit. They won't drink the regular shit. They go for the the older, the older all right.
SPEAKER_01:There you go, folks. Uh, that was CT talking. I don't want him, I don't want to get him in trouble. Um, let's see what else. Um, I can show you maybe a couple other uh let's see where were we as we go. Um some of the stuff like we were at wild turkey, which was really cool. I mean, there they're remodel. Here we are at at the bar getting our drinks. Uh this make this maker's mark was from the night before. This was a 1972, but you can see how wild that is. But that's just beautiful. I love the double wax, and you can see there. So that one was kind of cool. Um, we, you know, we're at Whiskey Thief. I'll show you one real quick. This one is uh, well, you can see the five barrels there, and she's thieving right from a barrel.
unknown:Why not?
SPEAKER_01:So there you go. That's there. Here's the fi there. Here's the the barrel getting uh lit up around the fire. There you go, the bourbon barrel. So um, yeah, that was just kind of uh a cool, cool thing that we did. Uh and uh you got to see that. But the festival itself was phenomenal. Let's go back to I gotta get back to the I'll get back to, yeah, let's get back to the comments that's there. Um yeah, Macaulay, you McAuley was busy. Uh your line was the whole time, and we had uh I I did wave to you at one point walking down the little runway. Uh uh, I was up there. I don't, but you were off in the distance and probably didn't see me. But it was just like we were trying to at there um when when when you go to festivals, especially Bourbon on the Banks, there's not enough time. And uh you basically this is uh it starts at one. We're running uh running our booth also because we're there as uh we we sell Glenn Cairns and t-shirts, and then also uh we podcast right from the booth. We were able to do one podcast with Stephen Fontaine and uh with uh Stephen Beam. Uh they came over, they were two down, they were our neighbors, and we smoked uh Yellowstone Rocky Patel cigar with Stephen, the both the Stevens, and talked about the this new bottle that they've got right up here. And this new bottle um is fantastic. Uh, I love the shape of it, it's set up, it's like if you finish it, you can fill it back up with more Yellowstone. And it's up on the shelf up there. And it was the festival was pretty damn good. Uh, we talked to um people from Bespoken, we talked to uh Larakin, Whiskey Thief. Uh we finally got uh we went and finally got the McBrayers. Uh we were able to um through the McBrayers. Uh we we uh we tasted through their Cedar Brook and their W William the WH McBrier, and then uh we were able to talk with um Bill and his son, and that was spectacular. Uh we got to do um a couple newer distilleries. We talked to a mean, um, we did an awful lot of lives. Um, so that was really kind of a damn cool thing to be at. It's it's hard to do so much. Uh, Roxy kind of got the short end of the stick, you know. We initially were gonna have whiskey come down, and he got busy, so he was supposed to be there Friday noonish, and he never got there on Friday. Said he was gonna drive down on Saturday. His niece locked up, and so him and his wife never came. And when you're when you're running a festival to lose the two people, um Sheila, his wife, is very, very helpful. She's not a drinker, so she helps out with running uh our booth, and Roxy pretty much took care of that. I also would have a little bit more help um getting people of you know for the podcast, and so it was really cool that Super Nash was able to make it. So festival was Saturday, then the coolest thing that happened, uh, the really the coolest thing that happened was uh afterwards you go out into Frankfurt. There's a street festival happening, jump rope, fire jump ropes, whips on fire, juggling. I mean, it was just really cool. And uh we ended up eating at Goodwood. Uh met Randy, Randy, Prassy, and Kate. Um, they met us at the festival, and when we were doing our Greg uh kind of was talking with us when we were doing some of the interviews with Lara Kin and Whiskey Thief and hanging out and everything. So they ended up at Goodwood. We ended up at Goodwood having dinner, and um, all I can say is somehow in in honor, I was able uh in honor, I I was this bottle here, um, which is a bottle that when I was at the festival, the Kentucky Bourbon Festival, I was in line. I should have gotten it, but I didn't. And uh Randy, this is signed by Steve Nally. This is the Cathedral French Oak Barrel finish, and it says, Happy birthday, Jeffrey. Um, signed by Steve Nally. And it's a my birthday was September. It's it's a fantastic birthday present. This is made from wood that was harvested, 300-year-old oak that was harvest harvested to rebuild the Notre Dame Cathedral, and they made this is put in there and made, and I just I don't know what to say. It's a fantastic bottle, and another reason why bourbon and friends are they go together, and so we hung out with them. We ended up they had to go back, we ended up going to um for a little bit with um back over to House of Commons. Um, I'm addicted to that place, fantastic. Um, you got to even see some of the um atmosphere with the music and the pour and just and what David presents and how he puts it. But we were over there, it was a little, I was pretty much wiped. Now CT stayed, but as we were leaving, and we're gonna take it was about 9, 9:30, we're gonna take Roxy back, and then I told CT if he wanted to stay, I'd pick him back up because it was just it was rough, but I just want to go home and go back to the Airbnb and relax. Well, as we're leaving, um, Christian, who is um one of the people that we met who uh comes down here for the the charity auction that Bourbon on the Banks has and brings stuff down, and I was able to share with him on my way out the last of the dowling deluxe, and then um that was really cool. So we then you know picked up CT that night, went to bed, woke up the next morning, checked out. Um, we uh stopped at Boone County Distillery on our way home, said hi to the folks there, got to do a tasting, see what that's about. I always wanted to, and uh got home. And so that was bourbon on the banks. Uh, why are we all right? I'm gonna quick see what just happened. I hate it when that kind of stuff happens, but something happened to you. No, it's still going and I'm still live. It just must be my own. Sorry, folks, for that one. I will see if I can get that back up and running and then get us to live. Go off of that. There we go. Probably explains a lot. There we go. That is interesting that it won't come back on. All right. I don't understand what's going on. One more time. We're going to try this over. That's okay. I don't mind. Everybody, I know that you're used to it. We're going to get going on that. Let's see, one more time. I want to be able to see the all right. Obviously, there is something wrong. That makes no sense. I'm still live. It's recording over there. It says it's live. Does can anybody else quick just tell me if it's locked up on YouTube? Hey, Leland, good to see you. All right. So that brings me to there's nothing I can do on what it is. It says it's recording, it says it's live. Doop poop. Nope. Let's see. Nope. It just seems to be just running over, over and over. That just makes no sense why it would do that. All right. Anyways, uh, we'll get going. Everybody, then uh, I just like that. All right. So tonight uh we are going to do the old Louisville barrel bottle breakdown of this single barrel Four Roses OBSK. This is their special um single barrel thing that they did. Um, I can actually, since I'm not doing that, I can uh do let's see. We're gonna use the phone light. There we go. This is four roses OBSK single barrel. This one came from BS 40-3B warehouse BS and then barrel 40-3b. This is the special limited edition. I mean, and it basically says rye, allspice, cocoa, vanilla, bright oak. So if you don't know what OBSK means, the one thing that's cool about this, and I have the history up here, Paula Jo Paul Jones Jr. moved his successful business to Louisville, Kentucky, where he opened an office in a section of the historic Main Street called Whiskey Row. He trademarked the name Four Roses four years later, claiming production and sales back to the 1860s. Then we go to 1922. In 1922, the Paul Jones Company purchased the Frankfurt Distilling Company. Along with this purchase came the rights to sell four roses as a medical whiskey during Prohibition, thus making Four Roses one of the few bourbon brands to survive Prohibition. 1943, Seagram's purchased the purchases the Frankfurt Distilling Company. Seagrim purchased the Frankfurt Distilling Company primary to acquire the most noted and recognized name in the business, Four Roses. Even though Four Roses was one of the top-selling bourbons in the U.S. during the 30s, 40s, and 50s, Seagram's decided to discontinue the sale of Four Roses Kentucky Street bourbon in the United States. Four Roses was moved to the rapidly growing European and Asian markets where it quickly became and still is the top-selling bourbon in both Europe and Japan. 1966, Jim Rutledge joined Seagrum. A young man named Jim Rutledge, who would later become one of the world's most legendary master distillers, joined Seagrum in the Louisville Plants Research and Development Department in 1975. He was transferred to corporate headquarters in New York until 1992 when Jim asked to return home to Kentucky to help with the Four Roses brand. In 1995, he replaced Ova Haney as the master distiller. For the next several years, Jim worked tirelessly to return the Four Roses brand back to the States, a dream that would become a reality in the hands of a new owner. Four Roses was back on US self February 2002 with Curin Brewing Brewery Company LTD purchased the Four Roses brand and production facilities, and the new acquisition was named the Four Roses Distillery LLC. Shortly thereafter, Four Roses Bourbon was once again sold in the United States and quickly earned the reputation of being one of the most notable names in the bourbon world. 2008, Al Young named Brand Ambassador. Icon and legend Al Young was named the Four Roses Brand Ambassador after 40 years in various roles, including distillery manager. Al's particular knack for storytelling, history, and connecting with consumers helped the brand build the recognition and reputation that Four Roses enjoys today, 2015. Jim Rutledge steps down, Brent Elliott steps up. August 2015, Jim Rutledge retires as master distiller, and Brent Elliott, who has worked alongside Jim for 10 years, became the company's new master distiller. 2020, Brent Elliott named Master Distiller of the Year. Current Master Distiller Brent Elliott was named Master Distiller Blender of the Year at the Whiskey Magazine's icons of the Whiskey Award America Award ceremony. Brent to this day plays an integral role in the growth and maintains continuous passion for creating premium bourbons at Four Roses. And 2023, the people who work at the Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, at our warehouse and bottling facility in Cox Creek, Kentucky, continue the legacy that began with Paul Jones in 1888. Their passion for quality and pride in handcrafting an award-winning bourbon is evident in the consistent and elegant taste that has become the signature of the Four Roses brand. And Four Roses began with a love story dating back to 1888. It all started with a marriage proposal and a corsage of four roses. Explore the story of how romantic gesture grew to help establish one of the world's most beloved brands. One of the cool things was we got to drink a little bit with Brent this weekend. Starting in the 2021 uh Kentucky Bourbon Festival, we met Brent there. And then before the 2022 festival, we did a podcast with Brent. And then we have done another podcast with Brent, which would have been earlier this year in 2025. Me and CT went down and did a podcast with Brent. But last year at um in the 2024, we met up with Brent at House of Commons, and we did the same thing again this year. Um, Brent really is a great guy. Uh, when you get to know him, he makes great whiskey and understands what he's doing. Uh, comes from a chemistry background, and uh with his knowledge be with Jim, uh there's uh I think Matt uh Brent is one of the he was named the the top master distiller, and he still is uh doing that to this day. So that brings us to the old Louisville Whiskey Company uh barrel bottle breakdown. Uh if you're in the Louisville area, you gotta stop off at the old Louisville whiskey company and see a mean. Um, it's an experience unlike any other. You're gonna have the person who purchases the barrel, owns the barrel, will blend barrels. He's the mask the master of maturation. He's the one that makes all the decisions, and he's the one that's gonna go through the whiskey through with you. So um, you gotta check out uh the old Louisville whiskey company in Louisville if you're in the area. All right, the old Louisville Whiskey Company's barrel bottle breakdown has a rating system. Uh, it consists of nose, which would be aroma, and body, which you could get up to four barrel knocks on the barrel with my trusty uh bung hammer. And then also it consists of taste and finish, which you could get up to five barrel knocks on the barrel. Uh, but if you like one of those categories and you think it's exceptional, you can give it an extra knock, which we call a butt-up up. All right, so here we go with the four roses OBSK. Very super excited. Um, my favorite now, one of the things about four roses is that the recipes, they have 10 unique recipes. You've got a mash bill B, a mash bill E, and five different yeast strengths. So it has an endless complexity. The 10 recipes consist of, and we're gonna go over here. I should probably share this part of the screen. So let's try doing that. Let's do that again. I don't know why sharing the screen had anything to do last time with YouTube, but YouTube says it's still going, so I'm gonna say it didn't have any issues. It was still recording and it still said live, so it could have just been mine, but let's see, is this it right here? Oh let's try. Hit share. Nope, I didn't want to do that. Oh, it's right here. Okay, so since it's up, I can take that and put that over there. So OBSV has a delicate fruit and rye. OBSK, rye and baking spice, OBSO, raspberries, rich fruit, OBS Q, floral characters, OBSF, delicate rye and mint, O E S V, Delicate Fruit and Caramel, O B O E S K, Baking Spice. O E S O Rich Fruit and Vanilla. O E S Q Delicate Grains and Floral Characters, and O E S F, which is light grains and mint, where O B S F is delicate rise and mint. So what you've got is the mash bowl B and E. And then you've got the five different E strings. O, V, K, Q, V, F. And then you've got the first letter is always O, designating the distillation at four roses. That means it was distilled at four roses. E, this letter does the mash bill. It's either B or E. The third letter is always S, designating it's a straight whiskey, and V identifies the proprietary yeast strain that each one creates the flavor. So your yeast strains are V, K, O, Q, and F, and your um match bills are B and E. So that's where you get the 10 different flavors. But I would say that on this particular one, and I can use my I'm gonna use this again. It says rye for for notes, rye, allspice, cocoa, vanilla, and bright oak. So that's what it says on the back. So we are going to now rate. I'm gonna get this off. Stop share. There we go. I should have that back. Let's put this back up. Let's get this. Let's see. Oh, the 10 unique recipes, the mash pills. There we go. Recipe for discourse. So there you go. That's explained. There are 10 different ways, and each one their uniqueness. Now, the one you would think that I like the most would have been, in my opinion, and I should try and revisit it. But it would be the OESV Delicate Fruit and Caramel. So that is usually my sweet spot. But OBSK is the one that no matter what, the limited edition has OBSK in it. Um, Brent Elliott does like the OBSK. Alright, so this is the proof on this. So these single barrels, um, I want to say are a hundred proof. So they're all equally at the same level. So here's the notes. I get the baking spices, I get the cinnamon, a little bit of apple and cherry. It's it's nosing more than a hundred proof. A little bit of ethanol there. Big thick legs. Wow, the viscosity on that. This is a very well done verb. Hundred proof OBSK is my fantasy. Fruitiness to it. So a lot of the the the other recipes are always too much rife, too much pepper, too hot, too aggressive for me. Not the case with this. This is not hot, this is not aggressive, this is why I like this one. Let's get on over there.
SPEAKER_00:Let's go over here.
SPEAKER_01:On the finish. At first it wasn't, but now there's a dark chocolate finish. All right. So the all spice comes with cinnamon. It's a very fall type thing. So out of four on the nose of this, I give it a three. Now roses is one of the things the body's so huge. I give it a four with a butt up up. It's a five body there for a hundred proof. It's drinking like it's a hundred and thirty as far as body goes. Big flavor. So we're eight of eight. Now, taste. I'm always a caramel guy. I would like to see what that would. I'll see what that in a bonus after uh thing. I'll see what the thing is. Let's see what happens when I do this now. It's still stuck. Yep, it looks like it's still stuck. It's as if it just cut out on me. All right, view channel one like Yep. All right. So let's do taste. Leaning up with a chocolate finish and it's long. I would say this pretty much defines what whiskey bourbon, bourbon whiskey should be. A lot of things try and do other things. And um I'd like to put that up against a direct up against Cave Hill too, because I always think Cave Hill tastes like that. Out of five, I'm gonna give it a four on taste. Now finish.
SPEAKER_00:Chocolate. Now it's picking up a little bit of vanilla caramel.
SPEAKER_01:I will give the finish a four also. So this bottle gets a sixteen of eighteen, three on the nose of four, five of four on the body, four of five on the taste, and four of five on the finish. For a total of sixteen of eighteen. How can you go wrong with that, right? Alright, everybody. Um wow, it ended, which even is dumber because that didn't say it ended. It must have lost its uh internet connection. But um, it's a good it's gonna be a good week. Uh Thursday, I should have a special, we should have something special for you on the pours, and we'll get back into the swing of things.
