Rewilded Wellness
REWILDED Wellness is a podcast about understanding your body in context—and rebuilding the conditions that allow it to become more resilient.
Hosted by functional nutritional therapy practitioner Lydia Joy, the show explores chronic health through a rewilded lens: one that recognizes that human biology cannot be separated from the environment, rhythms, nourishment, relationships, movement, stressors and lived experiences continually shaping it.
We have access to more health information than ever before. We can use functional testing to look at our minerals, microbiome and bloodwork; explore our genetics and hormones; track symptoms; research every pathway; and accumulate increasingly complicated protocols.
But more information doesn't always create better health.
REWILDED Wellness asks a different set of questions:
What is your body doing—and why might it make sense in the context of what you've lived? What conditions does it need now? And how do we rebuild greater capacity without turning your entire life into another health protocol?
Through personal stories, client observations, functional nutrition and explorations of physiology, Lydia brings together topics including gut health and the microbiome, HTMA and mineral balancing, chronic health patterns, perimenopause and women's health, nervous system function, nourishment, movement, environmental health and our relationship with the natural world.
Functional testing and targeted interventions can absolutely have a place here. But they aren't the destination.
The goal is to understand patterns rather than chase individual symptoms, work with the body rather than continually override it, and gradually rebuild the conditions that support greater resilience.
Because rewilding your health isn't about returning to some imaginary perfect past.
It's about remembering that your body is part of nature—and learning how to work with it again.

👉 Did this episode resonate? Text me — I actually read these.
In this episode, I pick up with my conversation educating you about the downstream effects copper has on your mineral system and your body.
I share the connection as to how this causes your Adrenals to Weaken & Adrenal Burnout ensues. Then I talk about the slowing of the thyroid's effectiveness at the cell level which decreases your metabolism.
Of course this becomes a bigger problem as stress rises and increases which then leads to an emotional stress response getting triggered that isn't so pretty and feels volatile.
In order to help exhausted women get their spark back I want to share how the body melts down so you can stop piece mealing your health and dig into supporting your entire system and self (mind/body/emotions).
I highly recommend going back and listening to episodes 18 and 19 first.
