Episode 35 - Madeleine Payne - From a non exercising mum of 3 to a power lifting champion.
I first met Maddy when she turned up to the secret bootcamp in 2014. These were the first sessions I did out of my mums back garden before the Fitlife journey began, and so it’s safe to say that Maddy is a real FitLife OG.
Maddy was in good shape. She would perform the exercises well but she wasn’t one of the competitive types that would try to be first to finish or do the most reps. She was happy to be middle of the pack.
So to see Maddy now, competing in powerlifting world championships is way more than impressive. It’s truly inspiring!!
This is a conversation about comfort zones, and how nothing inside of that will give you the type of focus that the fear of getting on a stage in a leotard can bring! You’ll feel inspired to both try something new and to seek a challenge that will test you both physically and mentally.
