Suzi Payton on Late-Discovered Autism, ADHD, Comedy, and Building Neurodivergent Community

Host Savia Rocks welcomes Suzi Payton an autistic and ADHD speaker, comedian, coach, and author who shares growing up in Essex, studying PE teaching in Eastbourne, and later living in Brighton. Susie explains her mission to improve life for neurodivergent people through speaking, coaching, comedy, and community-building, describing how she started in improv 15 years ago, tried stand-up, paused after her mother died, and later brought comedy into keynote talks and events. 

They discuss labels as tools for understanding, masking, stereotypes, and practical explanations of ADHD, hyperfocus, hyperactivity, RSD, misdiagnosis, and shame. Susie describes routines for avoiding burnout, swimming, journaling, and quitting alcohol, and announces her book, “Lost and now Found,” releasing August 21st 2025 with an Audible version.
