Barry explains how U.S. bankruptcy works in practice, including exemptions (notably Massachusetts’ homestead protection), the creditor-to-collection-to-lawsuit pipeline, default judgments, debtor’s court, and how filing bankruptcy (including the 341 meeting) typically stops creditor harassment.
