Hey guys, how are we doing? I'm Adrian Brady-Cesana. I'm the host of CXChronicles Podcast, founder and CEO of CXC. super excited, guys, for for for today's CX weekly update. got a bunch of fun announcements that we're gonna kind of run through. And it's been a minute since we've done one of these. Number one, first and foremost, we've got a bunch of awesome guests coming down the pipeline, so don't you worry about it. this week is just a quick and dirty to get all of you thinking about some of the things that we've been seeing here at CX Chronicles with some our clients, and then more importantly, getting some of you folks to think about.
how how to cut through all of the noise around all of this wild and wonderful stuff that everybody's talking about across the world with AI, AI, AI. so gonna do something a little bit different today. I'm gonna walk you through kind of what what what we had set up for for for the show. But essentially what we decided to do is we're gonna kind of walk through one of the whoa we're gonna walk through one of the very first updated
content pieces we've done in a So if you to the CXChronicles website and go to our our content section and go to our blog, I wanted to walk through what we actually put together for this week's blog, right? For our website. AEO. So answer engine optimization and how to make AI recommend your brand. So, guys, again, there is all this stuff. Number one, this was done by our our our our wonderful Maria here at CXChronicles on our on our CXE team. Maria does a bunch of fantastic. not only does she do a ton of our client work, but she's also doing a tremendous job producing.
most of our content and doing an incredible job helping with all of our podcasts we have. But Maria went through this article today and and this weekend and I you know I said there's just so much good stuff inside of here. So I figured I'd use this as our CX weekly update and kind of run through some of the things that we're seeing in the market and some of the things that we're starting to see play out as things become more and more front and center with AI. So number one for over a decade organic search growth meant leveraging Google, right? All of us had to
learned something about SEO. We all had to learn something about how we were going to get better at you know, AdWords and and and and putting all of these things out there into the ether. now we are getting to this world where over 900 million weekly active users are querying AIG it's like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity directly. So we're moving into this world of buyers asking ChatGPT what's the best customer success platform for scaling a SaaS business, right?
Adrian (02:22.136)
Google is obviously doing an incredible job with building out Gemini. That's what's what I've been using primarily for my day-to-day AI tool. But the guide outlines how to build, deploy, and scale an AEO strategy using HubSpot's AEO tools. So fully grounded in a surprise, surprise, the four CX pillars. But 60% of Google searches now end in no clicks. The answer appears directly in the AI overview. All of you are seeing this at the top of the screen when we're searching something.
27% decline in organic traffic for businesses over the last year as AI absorbs buyer attention. Right. And then as you just mentioned, 900 million weekly active users are moving over into this new search category. one thought that I kind of wanted to chat through with our listeners is really kind of thinking about deploying your AEO strategy. And then if it's helpful, use our four CX pillar methodology, right? Thinking about how team is going to play into this, how tools are going to play into it. In this case, we're talking about HubSpot.
process, thinking about the journey and all the variables within your system that you're gonna have to think about populating, enriching, mining, and then figuring out as you get deeper into understanding how you're gonna grow your business. And then lastly, feedback, right? What's all of the what's all the feedback that you're collecting along the way? so the business case for AEO. AEO search visitors are pre-qualified buyers. If you think about it, when an AI engine recommends your platform, the buyer enters your funnel with established trust already. So four 4.4 times LLM visitors converted better than organic.
Search visitors 11.4 conversion rate for AI refer traffic versus 5.3 for traditional organic and then 23 times better conversion. AI search visitors generated 12.1% of signups from just 0.5 of traffic. you know, just just just a thought is really people are thinking that AI AE AEO allows them to understand the presence in AI driven search, right? So this is going to be huge part of of the future, guys, and if
You're not already thinking about this with your business, with your marketing, with it with all of your business development efforts. You got to be thinking about this for the future. So here's a quick, actionable, actionable, step-by-step AEO execution checklist. I won't go through everything. I'm going to talk through the high level and give you guys an idea to maybe go back to the team and go back to you know your your your your your your your business with this week and really kind of think about it. So phase one, establish visibility. So set up all these different prompts across some of the different tools that you're using.
Adrian (04:44.044)
Get your baseline brand visibility square. Make sure that your business is setting up or showing up in the search. Run a competitor analysis. Why are some of your competitors showing up before you? really understand the positive and the negatives of what what is being you know displayed when you're when you're when you're running these searches. And then obviously you can use HubSpot's free A-E-O grader or chat with us, you know, at C at C C and we'd be thrilled to kind of walk you through some of the things we're doing with our clients. Phase two, understand the gap. So
Really understanding the citation source sources. Where is this search coming from? What are the sources? Where is the information being gleaned? How do we need to think about, you know, what we're gonna do as far as all of the different things that need to be done and need to be reviewed to make sure the specific AI responses are being generated? Phase three, build the strategy. Guys, this is why we've been talking about content for six years now. So prioritizing content gaps, which prompt areas offer the highest visibility upside, creating
your own owned content, right? So blogs, FAQ, comparison content, video, audio, imagery, and then identifying third-party platforms and publications where your brand should be appearing. Make sure that those connections are happening. so just a couple thoughts, a couple ideas around what what you could be doing for for for for our HubSpot friends, you know, take a look at the at the some of the tools that
you know, are out there today to kind of help you get started with this. and and really kind of dig in.
