Aloha, you amazing being, how are you doing? I have been missing you guys. It's been a couple of weeks since I've had a chance to record basically just Ben, okay, pure confessions, you guys.
Have you heard of Sarah Moss? She's a best selling author. She writes these court books, A Court of Silver Flames, as I think the last one I read, but anyhow, they're so good. It's almost like when I got sucked into Game of Thrones in 2018, 2017, whatever that was, like just lost myself to these books, but also have just really been kind of struggling with some of my.
skin and really trying to do some work in reframing that. But my job has just been crazy too. Have you guys been feeling this energy? And I think I told you coming into this quarter, if you're not listening real time, it's the end of 2024 and the fourth quarter of every year, I just know I just want to curl up and I have all these big dreams and goals and when I start the quarter and then by the end of the quarter, I'm like, just waiting for the end of the year because I'm just in this hibernation mode almost.
So I'm super excited to be coming out the other side of it. I can only hibernate so long if you haven't figured that out about me yet. So I was listening to my friend Renee's Spears bondology podcast. And she talks about the energy shifting this week as we head into the new year. So this week ahead is still kind of like rest, reflect, enjoy, just enjoy what we have.
And I've been doing the book, the magic in our group. You probably heard me talk about that last, this 28 days of gratitude. And I have to tell you, I haven't been as dedicated to it as I have some other times, But it is saving me over and over again, finding the gratitude in the moment and situations with my health and with my skin.
Because here's the thing, if I keep thinking from this place of restriction or this place of anxiety and itching and, Oh my God, I feel so horrible. All that brings is more of that, right? And sometimes it feels Hard to come out the other side of it and rewire it and this is the path to any Transformation thoughts are what create the energy or the vibration of the emotional Reaction in us in our body, right?
They generate how we feel and it's the energy that brings around the magic of the universe Sorry, it's all the like attracts like it's always the same Same formula, so if I keep feeling just uncomfortable or unhealthy or whatever that is. If I keep having these thoughts about it, it just brings more of that.
So I've really been focusing on trying to, as soon as I see that reframe it, as soon as I start scratching to slip into gratitude, and it's just, Definitely a work in progress. If you've had something major like this to work with, I'm sure that's hitting home for you. And this was also a path on my weight loss quest, right?
Like really rewiring how I have was showing up with food and with other things in my life. I'm excited to head into the new year. We have our planning event this Saturday. And in that when everyone was saying, yeah, we love Addie's great, all of that stuff or whatever, someone had commented all so many wonderful women in my life because of Addie because we're connected through meeting like this.
And I thought, you know, it's really like that in my personal life for whatever reason, like my friends that would come in from all over wherever I was, they're all good friends now, right? They're all meeting and doing whatever. And so it's kind of like, I guess I'm just the loudest and you find me and then you all find each other.
So if you show up in this room and dare to be seen, dare to share yourself and your experience, You won't won't even believe the magic that comes out and like starting to dream and create a vision So as I'm headed into this next vision creating you guys remember the podcast I just did I did a podcast on a thousand days and talking about the perception change when I am Thinking of my future self and being grateful in this moment, right?
Like knowing there's this place I want to go and be in this other life I envision and also being so grateful for the life I have right now and how that shifts things when I look at oh my gosh, I've got a thousand days I've got 800 days and then to look back and especially like this time of year I like to do this right like I look back.
Oh my gosh, a hundred days have passed already You Like, where did that go this year past? What are all the amazing things I've done this year? And I feel like I've been recapping them pretty frequently because I've been reminding myself, but just to remind you guys to, you know, I got my yoga teacher certificate.
I got a, another coaching certificate through Dr. Mindy Pels through Fast Like a Girl. I did a video course. I've changed, my job has changed three times, right? It's, um, I, Uh, I did Corinne's business course. I'm back in No B. Yes, learning more and looking at myself there, getting some coaching. I mean, just like all the things I did the magic again.
I've done a couple other forms of self help that have really Moved the needle for me a little bit this year and I look back and just think how grateful and also that I'm right here With Millie that you know those things that are most important in our lives their relationship the love we have in the world community our personal Self growth and development and all of the, like all of those little boxes, you know, when you do the wheel of life, like, and it's, you're never all in on one, right?
It's like it ebbs and flows. And this was really a relationship year for me with Millie. You know, I, we just have had a great year of discovering each other and our moods and creating an even closer bond than we've had. And I'm so, so grateful for that. All the time, even when I'm driving to the top of the mountain that her school's on and we're in an hour and 20 minutes of traffic.
So grateful I'm sitting in the car with her. I've also been experiencing shifts at work with relationships, with my job, with how I'm able to show up in You guys make no mistake. A lot of this happened because my shift in attitude, you know, like really recognizing I went back and I thought what happened last time when I went from corporate America to travel in the country in the RV, you know, the shift happened before I left the job well before I left the job, I wanted to leave the job the year before in my spirit guides actually were like, Nope, you need to build the runway.
And I was like, Cause I just wanted to throw my keys in the air and go, and it was a very similar feeling this time of I'm just being frustrated with where I was at. And all of a sudden, all these people, pieces moved in place for me to be able to experience and share my gifts, my zone of genius with my workplace and being able to lead more, you know, which is what.
I, a big part of me was created to do and I love to do and it's just amazing how it all shifted and happened when my attitude shifted, right? Like we, we create it all and banging my head on the wall. How am I creating this? How am I creating this? You know, and just realizing to shift into that gratitude now, that joy now and everything.
Even my, the magic practice today was about being grateful all throughout the day. It's. It's called Cue the Magic. Every time you see a little something around you that makes you think of either something you want or something you are already grateful for, you ahead of time. Like thank you for this body at its perfect weight.
When you see someone with their body at their perfect weight, or perhaps you think yourself ahead of time for that and feel the gratitude now for that being when you get there. So the magic, if you guys haven't done this book yet, is an experience in it. Um, It takes a lot of perseverance to see your way all the way through it and to really show up for it When you do go all in and do these 28 days back to back.
It is friggin lighted up magical I like I told you i've been half in it, but i'm so grateful for the half in it this whole year Thank God for my habits because I've gained a lot of weight this year and you know what that doesn't define me You guys it doesn't even define my journey It doesn't take away from having lost 130 pounds and traveled the country in the RV My weight is a symptom of covering up my greatness inside and when all of the other pieces start to shift and get Into place so will that It's like it's always goes back to that same thing.
It's not about the weight. Well, what's it about? It's about all these other things. It's about the dream and the future and where am I going and You know and in the same breath being in awareness, therefore I'm doing the no BS stuff, but a big part of of what I did that time and what I know drives me this time that helps me just feel good, eat better, show up for moving and feel better in my body is being connected to this energy of my future self now and living her now.
And it's really hard to explain. This is why I used to make alter egos and I need to do that again. I'm like due for an alter ego. And, um, you know, we would go to this place where you dream from. fantasy. So it's like a created slayer who was my alter ego. She wasn't me, but she was me. You know, you hear Lady Gaga has an alter ego, Beyonce, they're, they were alter egos.
They, to step into this amazing greatness of who they were and shut down all that self doubt in your head. Sometimes it takes like stepping outside of yourself. And that really hit me this past week about I started writing in my morning pages. Uh, and I was just writing, brain dumping everything out and I was like, damn Frick, where's my magic?
Feel like my magic's gone. Like I'm not as connected. And then lo and behold, I had listened to Renee's podcast, um, that next day or whatever that same morning actually. And she said, don't worry, the energy's shifting and you'll get reconnected with your magic. And I was like, what? Once you just can't make this shit up, right?
I'm like, okay, well that's good to know. So how can I set myself up for when this, when I get reconnected again? And, um, just kind of been resting, relaxing, but also preparing for. this event I'm doing this weekend where I do it too, right? I do this all real time with us where we're dreaming, visioning, planning, and daring to step into where it might be uncomfortable because we're making some changes.
And what are we willing to do? What, is that going to look like? And it's so inspiring to dare to think you friggin can. And then when you keep getting up over and over one little step at a time, no matter what, no matter 60 pounds, no matter you got sick, no matter there was an injury, no matter what, you get your ass back up over and over and you do the things that work for you.
And then you seek new things maybe. And a lot of this time, What came out of my coaching group this morning and a little bit on my live was I want to find the play in life again, and I want to read you guys this from the magic book today This was part of that cue the magic and if you're doing the magic with me, it's day 25 Life is playfulness.
We need to play so that we can rediscover the magic all around us And whenever you're feeling disconnected from it, like I just said I was it's usually because we're not playing right? We're not experiencing And part of this for me is overcoming my body, my physical self, like I'm like, I just want to stay in my room that I've got self contained and not be exposed to anything on the planet.
And that is fear. It's fear based and it's not going to change my vibration stepping outside. So I really want to step into playing more next year and pushing my boundaries and allowing myself to just find the fun in everywhere I can and just get some fun Friggin hoop holler and joy up in this bitch.
You know what I'm saying? Let's go like I'm ready for some of that energy again I'm ready to get reconnect to that magic and I think sometimes we have to be on the other side of it To be ready to grasp that that again. And you might be in a different space. You might be in the space where you're going inside like I have been this year.
It's um, or exploring really this was a year of exploration for me. If we look at the numerology, right? And if you listen to everything I just said, I've done this year, like, wow, it's really a lot of stuff to pack in a year. Like the last hundred days I was yoga teacher Addy, right? And then you only have 200 other days out of the year.
So it was, A lot of things I did. I think Dr. Mindy's course I did was eight weeks, something like that for the coach certification and so it's just been, um, with my new job and everything too. It's been, um, a lot of ongoing, um, exploration and learning and this upcoming, um, year. I will be headed into a year four and I'm really excited for this because I feel like I learned a lot of stuff this year and I didn't put anything into action.
And I was just kind of allowing that for myself because of knowing I was in this year three of exploration, just have fun. And let me tell you, that was just the energy this year. I want it to be more about showing up for myself. Like I really want to nail that this year. Uh, self discipline. showing up for my plans.
I'm smoking good at making some plans and dreaming you guys, and I'm a firm believer something is better than nothing. Like half of my plans have come true just because I wrote them down somewhere. I didn't even intentionally take action. Often I'll look back at my secondary goals. It's another part of what we do in the Me First Guide.
We do, we focus on a main goal and we develop that, but we also work on six other secondary goals. And so often I'll look at those secondary goals and I'll have achieved all of them. And like my main goal is just like, I'm still a major work in progress, right? So you just never know what will come out of daring to dream, daring to step outside your own, um, set of beliefs and what you've been doing forever.
Like, how do you go from being The 50 year old corporate America woman that just shows up every day to lead a team to you know get her paycheck to Do the best she can for this company to lighting up the world from her soul doing a soul led business and really being lit up from the inside like we're Where's the gap between those two things?
And so much of it is in starting to believe in ourselves, you guys, and daring to take that step. And they're small little steps, right? The dream might be big, but the steps are so tiny. You can't even write. You don't even know what Googling something might change for you. Googling how to get a nomadic passport, or like, you just don't know what is going to come out of it.
Any of those little steps you take, and this is why we do this work. And it's like, so the me first guide you guys, I know I prattle on about it a lot, but what it's a culmination of all of the amazing things I learned over really A good two to three years of like doing deep dive self discovery, um, self help and trying to teach others on the path, how, Hey, here's how you do it.
Here's how you transform. And I wanted to put it in a place that made it easy to do every quarter, every month, every week, every day. And that is what it is. It's a spiritual practice. It's a life coach practice. It's a habit practice. It is. a food practice. It's all of those things in one guide and it can seem like a lot if you don't understand that concept of where it's going and the whys.
And this is why I do the event because I find everyone can have planners you guys. How many planners have you bought and you might even get excited and do it the first of the year and then it drops off. You're like oh there's that planner I started in 20. 10. I've probably got like a million of them, right?
And I can't tell you like the difference in showing up and showing up with a group. Um, even when you fall off a little bit that you've got somewhere to jump back in and just pick right back up. I mean, the sisterhood's been a savior for me. I mean, I know I run the thing, but I haven't, Not always. Here's a good time that like ounce was doing the post jazz does the PM post.
It's a sisterhood. It's a place where we all come together. And I hope as we head into this new year, we even get more lit up and re engaged with everything we're co creating together. And I'm really, really looking forward to it. I'm excited. So I just wanted to give you guys a quick little update. Um, Of where I'm at and why I've been MIA for a couple of weeks and what I'm getting excited about the new year.
So I'm looking forward to these 890 days and oh my gosh, what can I create in 890 days? What do I want to be so friggin awesome in this time? And then how do I bring that into a 90 day view? Like what is the next 90 days look like? And there's this, I think it was Jim Rohn that says. you know, we overestimate what we can do in a year and we underestimate what we can do in three.
So just think about that, right? Like, we're always like have these big, huge goals for one year and then we get discouraged really quickly and all of those things. So it's taking this big kick ass vision and bringing it into a 90 day actionable plan that is the magic of this. Because if you can keep the energy of that kick ass vision and show up in your day to day feel like you're playing small, you know, and know that you're on this path to playing big that you are playing big right now, even though it feels like you're playing small, you got to shift it to feeling like playing big now.
And it's just so much more fun to get your ass in the arena to get in and really start playing the game instead of like, Oh, maybe I should change. I should change. I'm going to do it this year. I'm going to try to show up like really dare to play. to step into your greatness and challenge yourself to step outside your comfort zone to try new things for it to not just be about food prep and what goes in your mouth and all your trauma around food, right?
For it to be about what magic can I bring in my world? Well, how can I make my life the most incredible life I love beyond all measure.
