What’s up, you guys? Welcome back to the Midlife Badassery podcast. Addie B here, and I’m just going to give you a quick update of the week.

Not a whole lot to report… but also kind of everything.

I just finished a masterclass on the habits of your highest self, and it’s always eye-opening for me when I do this. Even just building it, I was like… oh yeah. I’ve got to go restack my habits again.

I haven’t been able to get to my pool walks, you guys—which is why I’m not podcasting in the pool right now. Everything’s growing out there, allergies are doing their thing, and my habit stacks got a little uprooted again.

But… I’m still dropping the pounds.

And that’s what’s so interesting.

I’m watching myself step into this version of me where I’m like—how dare I dream this big… build this business… and lose weight at the same time?

Because before? I was taking the “safe” route. The secure route. Packing away the paycheck… and honestly, packing on the pounds.

So I’ve been thinking a lot about that correlation.

How much of that was me not feeding my soul… not doing what lights me up… and how that showed up in my body?

And I know the answer for me.

I’m just throwing it out there for you—especially if you’re here for the weight loss.

Because spoiler alert…

It’s never about the weight loss.

We all know how to do that.

We’ve done the diets. The plans. The programs.

But what we don’t do… is the identity work.

And this is what I was teaching in the habit stacking workshop.

We all start with the outcome.

We want to be skinny. We want to be rich. We want the relationship.

And we try to create that from the outside in.

Instead of starting from the inside out.

Who is the person that already lives that life?

Who is she?

Because all of those qualities already exist within you.

We just don’t tap into them.

I mean, I think back to 2018 when I was looking into weight loss surgery. I felt hopeless. I didn’t know what to do. And the only thing I knew to seek was losing weight—because that’s what I had chased my whole life.

But that journey—because I had to wait six months—took me into self-discovery.

Meditation. Life coaching. All of it.

And that’s what actually changed me.

Not the diet.

Not the outcome.

The identity.

Because if you don’t change that part… you get what I call the “empty skinny.”

You hit the goal… and you’re like… wait. Why am I not happy?

It’s like when I lived on the beach.

At first, I was out there every day. Floating in the ocean, living the dream.

And then… it just became normal.

I wasn’t even going out there anymore.

So now I’m asking—how do I create that same joy right here, right now?

Even in this room.

Even when things aren’t perfect.

Because your brain doesn’t know the difference between what’s real and what’s imagined.

So what are you allowing yourself to experience?

That’s the real question.

So I’m doing this workshop, having so much fun, and I start sharing what I’m building next.

This new community.

And you guys… I stacked this offer.

And more than anything—community.

Because I truly believe this now:

Community is a core pillar of transformation.

I would not have lost 120 pounds…
 I would not have left corporate…
 I would not have bought an RV and traveled the country…

And that’s what I’m creating again.

A space where we show up as our next-level selves.

Where we dare to dream bigger.

Where we get scared… and we do it anyway.

Because that’s what this is.

This is not about perfection.

This is about showing up.

Even when you’re unsure.

Even when you’re figuring it out in real time.

Which… hi, that’s me right now.

Building slides last minute.

Learning new tools.

Figuring out YouTube.

Doing it messy.

And doing it anyway.

And I want you to come with me.

That’s the whole point of this podcast.

Because if you’re still here listening…

You’re my people.

And you’re not here for another diet.

You’re here because something in you knows there’s more.

And you’re ready to become the woman who actually follows through.

So yeah…

That’s what this week looked like.

A little chaotic.
 A little messy.
 A lot of growth.
