Jul 26, 2021 Season 1 Episode 20
Melissa Dessaulles from Mommy Berries

In this episode, I sit down with Trish Gipson, a fellow pelvic health physiotherapist with the goal to help you feel more confident with exercise progression postpartum.

Here is what we discuss:

  • Are there actually good and bad exercises postpartum?
  • Where to start with exercise postpartum
  • How to approach progression
  • Sign and symptoms to watch for
  • When to see someone in person

Trish graduated from the physiotherapy program at McMaster University in 2005. She began her career treating musculoskeletal injuries, and furthering her knowledge in orthopedic manual therapy. In 2011 she became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy.
Perinatal and pelvic health has always interested Trish, and after taking additional training in pelvic health and in Diane Lee's Integrated Systems Model, Trish was able to combine her orthopedic skills and pelvic health knowledge to develop her own personalized approach to perinatal and pelvic health.
She is passionate about educating her clients and empowering them to meet their goals.
