Dear Divorce Diary: A Fresh Approach To Healing Grief & Building A Life Of Confidence After Divorce
This isn’t a breakup pep talk. It’s a full-body recalibration for women navigating life after divorce. Dear Divorce Diary is a podcast for women dealing with grief, loneliness, anxiety, anxious or avoidant attachment, and identity loss after divorce — especially when quick fixes, positivity, and spiritual fluff no longer work.
I’m Dawn Wiggins, therapist, coach, and homeopath, and this show goes where most divorce advice won’t: into your nervous system, your unspoken grief, your buried rage, and the parts of you that shut down just to survive.
Through honest conversation, somatic tools, EMDR- and IFS-informed work, and nervous-system support, each episode helps you feel instead of perform healing — and rebuild safety, confidence, and self-trust from the inside out.
You’ll hear raw solo episodes, real voice notes from women in the trenches, and intimate conversations with experts who don’t just talk about healing — they embody it.
If you’re tired of being told to “move on” while your body is still bracing, this podcast is your place to land. Your nervous system already knows the truth — it just needs a space that can hold it.

Dear Divorce Diary: Dedicated to Healing
Exclusive access to premium content! There are things you never got to say.
The words you swallowed to keep the peace.
The questions that never got answered.
The anger you weren't allowed to express.
The grief that still catches in your throat.
Maybe it's your ex.
Maybe it's a parent.
Maybe it's someone you've loved deeply and lost.
Maybe it's a version of yourself that disappeared somewhere along the way.
In this special Dear Divorce Diary VIP episode, Dawn, Joy, and Coach Tiffini hold space for a different kind of healing.
Not a meditation.
Not a visualization.
Not another lesson to learn.
Just a safe place to tell the truth.
Because sometimes healing gets stuck when our thoughts, feelings, disappointments, and heartbreak have nowhere to go. We wait for understanding, closure, an apology, or one more conversation. But what if the healing begins when you finally give those words a place to land?
Grab your journal, a pen, some crayons, or simply your breath. Let your body guide you as you explore what has been waiting to be expressed.
In this episode, you'll:
- Create space for the thoughts and feelings you've never been able to fully express
- Explore grief, anger, disappointment, and unanswered questions in a safe and supported way
- Learn why healing can stall when emotions remain unspoken
- Experience the power of witnessing and validating your own truth
- Begin releasing the burden of carrying it all alone
You don't have to be fair.
You don't have to be understanding.
You don't have to get it right.
You only have to be honest.
Because sometimes the deepest healing happens when you stop waiting for someone else to hear you—and finally hear yourself.
Take a breath.
We're right here with you.
You can't think your way into healing 🥵 You have to practice your way there 👭If you're ready for the next step, learn more about A Different D Word and apply here ✨
Creating A Safe Inner Room
SPEAKER_01Today we're doing something a little different. This isn't a meditation or a visualization. It's about creating a space for you. Maybe because the person you feel that you speak with. Or a parent. Or someone who's hurt you. Or someone you've loved deeply and lost. Maybe someone who's no longer here. Whoever's coming to mind as I'm speaking, I want you to trust that. For the next few minutes, Tiffany, Joy, and I want you to imagine that you're sitting in a room with the three of us. And you've got this burning desire or urge to process something to talk about, something to talk with someone that just doesn't seem accessible. I want you to imagine that we are attending to you in this moment. One of us is maybe brushing your hair, and another is serving you a cup of tea, and there's just it doesn't feel like you could access anywhere else. The person you want to talk with may not be here in the physical or maybe they won't understand. You can understand, we can understand, it can be understood, it can be released in your body. There's so many women healing us because there are feelings of disappointment and grief. Maybe you swallowed them, minimize them, convinced yourself that they weren't important. Maybe you can use my ears trying to be the bigger person. But today you don't have to do any of that. What you say doesn't have to be fair or right or understanding. It just has to be honest and raw.
Welcome To Dear Divorce Diary
SPEAKER_01Hi, love. Welcome to Dear Divorce Diary, the podcast helping divorcees go beyond talk therapy to process your grief, find the healing you crave, and build back your confidence. I'm your host, Don Wiggins, a therapist, coach, integrative healer, and divorcee. Join me for a fresh approach to healing grief and building your confidence after divorce.
How To Use Your Body And Journal
SPEAKER_01So we're gonna play a little music. The three of us are gonna sit with you. Bonus points if you have your journal out and you write a couple of things, or some crayons just to scribble on the page to help you process. You could also grab a towel and you could be ringing that along the way. Whatever your body is asking for, Tiffany is constantly reminding us that your body knows what it needs. This is a moment for you to lean into that. You can speak out loud, you can whisper, you can write, you can cry, you can sit in silence with us. There's no right way. This is an opportunity for you to tell the truth about your experience. Maybe something that feels like it wasn't heard or it's been chronically interrupted or dismissed, but it still lives inside of you.
Tell The Raw Truth Out Loud
SPEAKER_01Take a breath, hold our hands, notice your body, and when you're ready, beginning. Not what should be happening, not what you hoped would happen. Maybe you feel lighter, maybe you feel angrier, maybe you feel relieved, maybe you feel nothing. All of it is welcome.
Self-Validation As Deep Healing
SPEAKER_01Sometimes the deepest healing begins when you stop waiting for someone else to understand you, and you take a moment to fully understand and accept yourself. Breathe into that for a moment. Honoring what is coming through you right now, honoring the depths of what you're feeling. We are here to hold the space with you. Our experience matters, our wisdom is real, but you don't need our permission. You don't need our truth to be your truth. You don't need our agreement in order to be okay or to let go or to move forward.
Closing Support And Share If You Want
SPEAKER_01Ready to hold you with our arms, with our eyes, with our hearts, sensing that whatever you are feeling or expressing is okay here with us. If there's something you've tapped into or touched on today that you'd like to share with us, we'd love for you to send us a message. And if you don't, that's completely okay too, to have this deeply personal truth-telling experience. Peace.
