Episode #188: Special Guest Stella June Reveals All Part 2
Ever wonder if your understanding of health basics matches what even a child knows? This delightful episode of The Berman Method features our youngest guest yet, who delivers surprisingly profound wellness wisdom that will make you smile while questioning your own health habits.
"If you don't make time for your wellness, you'll be forced to make time for your illness." This powerful statement forms the centerpiece of our conversation about preventative health care. Our special guest unpacks this concept with remarkable clarity, explaining how neglecting healthy habits impacts your heart and overall wellbeing. What makes this episode uniquely charming is that none of it was scripted or rehearsed—these insights came naturally from our young health enthusiast.
We explore fundamental wellness principles that are often overlooked in our complex health discussions: moving after meals, staying hydrated, taking appropriate vitamins, and consuming balanced nutrition with plenty of protein, fruits, and vegetables. The conversation takes a humorous turn when discussing exercise recommendations, with our guest suggesting "six or seven" daily squats—a refreshing contrast to previous, more ambitious recommendations in the millions! This playful moment underscores an important truth: consistent, reasonable activity matters more than unattainable fitness goals.
At The Berman Method, we focus on treating root problems rather than symptoms, and sometimes the most effective solutions are the simplest ones. Listen to this episode for a refreshing reminder of health basics, delivered with childlike wisdom that cuts through complicated wellness rhetoric. Speaker 2:PS. If you guys don't eat healthy stuff and you guys eat only treats and you guys don't eat unhealthy stuff you guys will have to go to the doctor and you guys are going to have to stay there for so many days and then you guys are going to have to stay there because your heart's not beating.
Speaker 3:So I think what you're trying to say there is if you don't make time for your wellness, you'll be forced to make time for your illness. Is that correct?
Speaker 2:Yeah, and also, your heart won't beat.
Speaker 1:That's very true. We got to eat healthy and move healthy to keep our heart healthy and not end up in the hospital right.
Speaker 3:Well, there you have it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and also, if you don't go to the hospital, the doctors will have nothing to do with you. They will just have to give you vitamins and vitamin C and medicine, and if it won't work, you're going to stay sick all day long and you will never get better.
Speaker 1:So we got to do the right things for our body move after every meal, drink our water, take our vitamins, eat our protein, our fruits and our vegetables. And, by the way, we did not script any of this, just so everybody knows. We did not prep her, we did not tell her what we were going to ask, we did not script anything for her.
Speaker 3:So that was pretty good. One last thing we forgot to say that this might be the most important thing. Okay, stella, how many squats should you do a day?
Speaker 2:Six, six or seven, hundred, no, not a hundred, just six or seven.
Speaker 3:Well, that wasn't the answer I was looking for 100% of the time that I've asked that question. Previously, it was 6,038,400 million D, so this time it was six. Okay, that's it. We're rambling now, so stay healthy. How much do you know? Do you know more than a five-year-old?
