AI can be an incredibly useful marketing tool, but I believe we need to be careful about where we use it.

In this episode of Marketing Espresso, I’m exploring why AI-generated images may be doing more harm than good to your brand. While I use AI for research, comparisons and efficiency, I would not use it to replace the strategic and creative thinking behind a client’s visual identity.

Your brand is more than colours, fonts and social media templates. It communicates what you stand for, who you help and why someone should choose you. When your marketing relies on generic or obviously AI-generated visuals, you risk looking like every other business in your industry.

People are becoming much better at recognising AI images. They can often feel overly polished, artificial or disconnected from real life. That matters because strong marketing relies on trust and human connection.

I also discuss the pressure business owners feel to constantly create more content. AI may help you produce more quickly, but more content does not automatically create better results. Sometimes doing less, with greater intention and quality, is the stronger marketing decision.
