Sidonie Smith began her career as a classically trained violist and award-winning young composer before following her true passion for the theatre. She studied in the United States and later at the Joop van den Ende Academy in Hamburg, Germany, and since then has built a career that spans borders and breaks barriers.
She has starred in Sister Act as Deloris van Cartier across Switzerland, Austria, and Germany, and taken leading roles in productions such as Legally Blonde, Memphis, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Chicago. She also made her concert debut at London’s Royal Albert Hall and appears on a Scott Alan live recording alongside Broadway’s best.
Today, Sidonie leads the UK and International Tour of The Bodyguard in the role Whitney Houston made iconic—a full-circle moment in a journey that shows the power of following your calling with courage and persistence.
