[00:00:00] If you are getting inquiries, dms, or form fills, but they're not turning into clients, it can feel really discouraging. You know, people are interested and then they go quiet. And if you've ever thought, I don't want to bother them, but I also don't want to lose the lead. Hmm. You're not the only one thinking this way.
This is something that I hear a lot of times from business owners. When leads go quiet, it's usually not because they weren't interested. It's because follow up feels awkward. Maybe you're not sure what to say or it falls through the cracks because you are busy. These are real issues, and I see them constantly with service-based business owners.
Welcome to AI Simplified the podcast for entrepreneurs, [00:01:00] creators, and small business owners who want practical stress-free ways to use AI in their content and marketing. I'm Kristina Stubblefield, digital marketing strategist and creator of the Pre-Bake the Oven Method. Let's simplify AI so you can create faster, show up consistently, and feel confident in your content.
So today I wanna talk about how AI can help you follow up in a way that feels natural, human and supportive, not pushy.
First, most leads don't need pressure. They need a reminder. This is a very important mindset shift. Most people who inquire aren't saying no. They're saying, I need time. I got distracted, or I'm still deciding. The problem is most business owners either. Follow up [00:02:00] once, or believe it or not, not at all. AI can help you write follow up messages that sound calm and professional without the awkward sales energy.
You can ask AI something like write a friendly follow up message that checks in without pressure and reminds someone how I can help. You're not chasing, you're simply continuing the conversation. Secondly, you don't need to rewrite follow ups every single time. Another reason follow up feels heavy is because you are probably starting from scratch every single time.
AI helps by creating reusable follow up messages. You can keep on hand. You can use it to help you write a first follow up draft, a gentle second, check-in, create a [00:03:00] final open door message. Once those are written, you're not guessing anymore. And this works because AI already understands your business.
That's how it's going to work Best. It understands your business, your services, and your tone, which is why the foundation we talk about in the last episode matters so much.
Okay. The third thing, automation doesn't have to sound robotic. A lot of business owners worry that automation will feel cold or impersonal. But automation doesn't mean set it and forget it. It means having support in place. AI can help you with draft follow up emails or messages that are in your voice and tone.
Then you can also adjust the tone so it sounds warm and not salesy. You can [00:04:00] personalize messages faster instead of copying and pasting and using them.
You still choose when and how to send them. AI just helps you stay consistent. If follow up feels uncomfortable, that doesn't mean you're bad at sales. It usually means you care about people and you don't wanna cross a line. An invisible line that you feel is there. AI doesn't replace your relationship building.
It's here to support it so you're not overthinking every single word. If you are losing leads. It's rarely because people weren't interested. It's because follow up didn't happen, or it just didn't feel easy. With the right setup, AI can help you know what to say. Say it in a way that sounds like you. And stop letting good leads slip through the cracks
today. We've talked [00:05:00] about follow up because this is another issue I hear constantly from real business owners. They're doing the hard part, getting interest, but the follow through feels messy or uncomfortable. That's what we focus on here at ai. Simplified, simple practical ways to use AI that actually supports your business without adding pressure or complexity.
And this month we're breaking down the real struggles business owners face and showing how AI can make each of them easier one step at a time. You don't need to become pushy to follow up well, you just need a system that supports you. And when AI understands your business and your voice, it can help you stay connected without losing the human side.
Remember, progress over perfection always.
