What if calm wasn’t a finish line, but a rhythm you could practice with your senses, your space, and a few unhurried minutes at a time? We open the door to a gentler routine by walking through our collaboration with Petal & Pink: seasonal meditation boxes that turn stillness into a hands-on experience you can actually look forward to.
We start by drawing a helpful line between mental health and mental wellness. Therapy is vital for healing and treatment- that's mental health; but mental wellness is the daily craft that shapes attention and steadies the nervous system. From there, we tour Petal & Pink’s mental wellness boutique—journals, affirmation stones, magnesium creams, fidgets, unique gifts—and a community hub offering expert-led classes, creative workshops, and even a quiet room for therapy calls. It’s a place where playful creativity and practical care meet.
Then we unpack the heart of the episode: our Create Harmony guided visualizations woven into seasonal boxes. Instead of chasing silence, we invite you into vivid scenes—winter’s firelight, fresh snowfall, bread baking, tea warmth; spring’s soft rain, color, and a world turning green again. Each track runs seven to ten minutes for real-life schedules and can be used solo, with a partner, or as a bedtime family ritual. We pair audio with tactile anchors: a hand-warmer mug, tea drops, a simple candle-making kit, and cozy socks in the winter box—items that cue safety, comfort, and presence.
Curious but not ready to subscribe? Try our mini meditation boxes. “Making Honey” guides you into the hum of the hive and the sweetness of purposeful work, with honey-themed gifts to match. “Rainbow” is tailored for kids, turning color and wonder into a calm practice perfect for spring gifting. Along the way, we share ways to stack these rituals—brew tea before the tea meditation, light your handmade candle as you journal, rotate tracks weekly to keep your practice fresh.
Ready to build a calm toolkit that actually fits your life? Subscribe to the seasonal box, sample a mini, and share your favorite ritual with us. If this episode helped you breathe a little easier, follow the show, leave a rating, and pass it to someone who could use a gentler day.

Welcome & Intentional Rhythm
SPEAKER_00Welcome back to the Create Harmony Podcast, and right here we're gonna learn to slow our minds, to soften our bodies, and we're gonna remember that peace is not something you find, it's something you practice. We're all about setting an intentional rhythm, not just when life is calm, but right in the middle of the hubbub of everyday life. Here we savor life's blessings and we practice stillness and gratitude. We like to use our imagination as a way of listening to God. And if you're longing to have a little more calm in your life, you're gonna find a lot here that you love. You're gonna find plenty of resources to use. And if you enjoy being creative and playful along the way, there's a place for you here as well. In these few minutes together, we're gonna really focus on celebrating everyday joys and notice the goodness that's all around us. So this is episode 162, and I am your host, Sally Burlington. So last week we talked about the practices of peace and we talked about how to create some habits that bring more peaceful living into your rhythms. So the key point of that discussion was that peace is something we need to be intentional about. And if we fill up our lives with to-do lists that relate to success or striving or healthy living or work or church work, even volunteering, all sorts of things. All these things are important. They are not bad. But if we completely fill our lives with those things, and that is where we let our mind dwell, it's gonna be more difficult for us to find peace. In order to get to a more peaceful place, we have to create habits, rituals, routines that point us in that direction. And it just so happens that here at Create Harmony, we have been in a collaboration with Petal and Pink Mental Wellness Boutique, and we've created lots of resources that can help you find peaceful rhythms in your everyday life. So today I thought it would be a good idea for us to take a deeper dive into what those resources are, what that could look like for you, and how to understand how you could use them. So let's start by talking about Petal and Pink. Petal and Pink is a mental wellness boutique. And if you're new here, you might not know what we're talking about. But what is a mental wellness boutique? It's a place here, it's a physical store here in North Carolina. However, they also have an online presence that has all sorts of one-of-a-kind things that boost your mental wellness. And now I want you to notice that I said mental wellness, not mental health. They do have a lot of items that relate to mental health. Mental health is more about therapy and about delving into your past and overcoming trauma and that kind of thing. Mental wellness is more about just the practices you do every day, the rhythms like we're talking about, that you lift your well-being. So though there's a combination of both of those things at Petal and Pink. What types of things would those be? Like if you're trying to call that to mind, what does that mean? I mean everything from fidgets to journals to books to all sorts of things. They have magnesium cream, they have the world's most popular fidget, which is the Nido, they have affirmation stones, they have puzzles, they have art, they have notepads, they have a mug that might say a cup of peace. They have all sorts of things that you've never seen anything like it before. All sorts of sensory tour toys and just things that make you happy. You've probably not seen them before. They're one of a kind, very unique, as well as they have a little coffee station in there and a place that you could go, a quiet room if you need to have therapy. You could go into their little quiet room and do that. So they're they provide that kind of space. And they also teach classes and events. Like some of their upcoming classes are you can learn how to bedazzle a book. And you know, it's a creative endeavor. Put all the gems on a book. You can make your own set of conversation cards. They are going to have a conversation about understanding menopause and they bring in experts to teach these classes. They're not teaching them all by themselves. They also have a pretty robust mahjong group there. So that if you are wanting to get involved in Mahjong, that would be a fun thing for you to do. And every month they have a theme and they go back to teaching classes that sort of revolve around that theme. That is a great resource for creating more peace in your life. So, what does that have to do with Create Harmony? Why are we just talking about Petal and Pink? Well, the reason is, in my opinion, their very most interesting product is a collaboration between us and them. And it is our meditation boxes. So we've collaborated with them to create these boxes that are filled with all sorts of peaceful goodies. So I want to make sure you understand what I'm talking about when I say meditation box. So let's start with the overall format for this. There are a couple of different options available, but the first is our subscription box. So every quarter we have a subscription box that's themed with the quarter. So what I'm talking about is winter, spring, summer, and fall. They are themed with the season. So we just launched our winter cozy time box, and then now our springtime ref refresh box is available. So I want you to picture what would happen if you had subscribed to these boxes. Like in the winter, if you had subscribed, here's what would happen. You'd receive a box, you'd open it up, and there'd be all sorts of pretty packaging inside. There's a sticker inside the box that says you are on the verge of a more peaceable life. I mean, that's pretty inspiring right there. Just the sticker itself. It's on the top of the box. And then inside the box, you get a card. There's lots of things in there. So let's talk about the goodies that come in each box. There's a card that has a link to five guided meditations. So that's the create harmony part. We created the meditations. And each of these meditations, I have a very unique style. When I say meditations, it's more of a guided visualization experience. So the ones for winter, one of them was about baking bread, one of them was about walking in a winter wonderland, sitting by the fireplace, finding your cozy nook. And all of them are all drinking a cup of tea. So those are the five. They're all about actually participating in an experience. So when you're listening to my voice as your guide, you're sitting there. It provides you with a distraction. You I suggest some imagery. So you are then being able to imagine in your mind a beautiful, peaceful place that you're going to dwell for a little while. And that and these meditations are pretty short. Most of them are, you know, seven to 10 minutes long. That fits into most busy schedules. And they can be used in a lot of different ways. But some of the ways that you might use them are that you maybe listen to one per week or maybe one every day for a week. And then next week you listen to them in a different order. You can use them over and over again as many times as you like. They're yours to listen to and sort of calm yourself. You could listen as a whole family. You could gather your family together and sort of listen before bed. And it's just a very calming way to step away from the noise, the hustle, and the bustle of your life and just center yourself and soothe your soul. So those are the kinds of meditations that would be in each box. And that's really unique. You don't get that type of thing in your average subscription box. It's like buying an experience or access to an experience. And the the uh springtime ones are now out. So there's spring rain and being part of a flower, blossoming, becoming green again, all sorts of things that are refreshing. So just sort of enlivening you and thinking about how the earth wakes up from the thaw of the winter. And that's kind of fun. So that's in each box. And then you move on to the other things. Um, petal and pink puts other cozy items in the boxes. So, for example, if we're going back to our winter box, you would have gotten the five guided meditations as well as an adorable little mug. The mug was like for coffee or tea, and it's one of those mugs that's like a hand warmer type kind. You know, it has a little slot for your fingers to go. So you were like holding the mug and your hand is warm. It had like pine on it, pine cones and pine boughs. It was really, really cute. There were some tea drops that you could make a cup of tea and put it in the mug. And then the next item that was in there was this neat candle making kit. So before you think, oh gosh, I don't have time for that, that's complicated. It was really easy to use. It was very interactive and fun. And it's sort of a mindfulness activity to make your own candle, and then you get to burn the candle. And then lastly, there was a pair of cozy socks. There was close to about$150 worth of merchandise in that box, and they were selling for$75 per box for each quarter. So, and again, they'll be the same thing in the spring. And what you need to do if you get the box is use the meditations and then you can either pair them together. Like maybe you're gonna drink a cup of tea in your hand while you're listening to me talk about drinking a cup of tea, sort of reinforces the experience, or you could spread them all out, and that gives you so many more opportunities for peaceful moments in your life. But now, if you're not quite ready to take that leap and subscribe, there's another option to get you started. So we did create a mini meditation box. We did this in the holiday season, there was a mini one for the winter, and it had one meditation in there called Gathered In, and it was all about like harvest and gathering in and be feeling stored up and, you know, cared for and all the things. And then also in the mini meditation box, there was a simmer pot kit. So you had a little packet of things that you could put into a simmer pot and make your home smell cozy and delicious, and then there was an affirmation stone and then a little small candle. So it's just like a smaller version of the bigger meditation box. In the spring, we're gonna have two different mini meditation boxes. So there are two on sale now, they're available right now. One is called making honey, and it is all about the meditation that's in there is all about what it feels like to be a bee, and you're flying into the hive and you feel the buzz of the hive and everybody working together, and it's very collaborative. And then you make this sweet, juicy honey, this tasty substance. And then in the box, there's like honey-related gift items in there too. So that's for adults making honey. And then we designed one that's a little more steered towards children. All of these could be used with children, but the rainbow one is a little more kid friendly. And we were thinking that people may want to use this as an Easter gift for their kids or something that you want to give as a spring surprise. And it's all about sitting there and envisioning all the colors of the rainbow and thinking about the bright red and the bright yellow and just how a rainbow is magical when you see it in the sky and you have this magical moment of seeing a rainbow. So that's the mini meditation box that's more towards kids. So there's two options there for you to give it a try. And then if you think, you know what, I loved this, I want more of that, then you subscribe for whatever the next season. So there's all sorts of resources there that you could use to enhance your peace. There are all sorts of ways to practice peace using these tools and resources that we've made available. And I don't want you to miss out. So I just wanted to go through that and help you think about it. So is if it's something, maybe it would be a good gift idea, maybe a good Mother's Day present for one of someone that in your life that you think needs more calming, soothing content. So keep those in mind. Now, for our closing today, I'm gonna read a poem from a book called How to Be a Wildflower by Katie Daisy. Katie Daisy is an artist. I love her art, and she's written this book, How to Be a Wildflower. And this poem was actually written by John Muir of Muir Woods, but she has put it in the book How to Be a Wildflower. So I'm gonna read it to you now. Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves. May it be so.
