Guiding Frequency – Episode 24: The Power of Perspective: Focus on Your Inner Home
This weekend I spent time with my family, and those conversations brought up so many insights, healing moments, and new realizations. Sometimes the people who know us the longest also become our greatest mirrors.
In this episode, I'm sharing three powerful perspective shifts that helped me move from blame to connection and from living outside myself to coming home.
We explore:
• Why blame keeps us stuck in loops—and how looking inward creates freedom.
• How honoring both your perspective and someone else's can create deeper connection.
• Why our focus matters. Are we chasing the finish line, or are we choosing to fully live each day?
I also share two beautiful metaphors that came to me:
• Betsy following a scent—sometimes life isn't about rushing to a destination. It's about staying curious, trusting the path, and experiencing the journey.
• Radar calling us home—our inner self is always inviting us back. When we become caught in distractions, conversations, and everyone else's energy, we can lose connection with ourselves. Coming home to our inner world allows us to reconnect with our own frequency and show up more fully for others.
Reflection Exercise
Grab a piece of paper and a pen.
Take a few slow, deep breaths.
Draw a dot in the middle of the page.
Around the dot, draw a circle.
Now begin drawing squiggly lines that move outward from the circle and then return back to the dot. Continue creating different lines, always returning to the center before heading back out again.
When you're finished, take a moment to notice your drawing.
What do you see?
For me, the center kept wanting to expand, and I found myself drawing more circles around it. It made me wonder if the center represents us, while the circle represents how we hold ourselves, our boundaries, or our sense of home.
The squiggly lines become our experiences in the world. We go out, we connect, we experience life... and then we return home to ourselves before going back out again.
Every drawing will be different—just like every person's journey.
My invitation for you this week is simple:
Take yourself with you wherever you go.
Come home to yourself often.
When you're connected to your own frequency, your relationships naturally become more authentic, grounded, and meaningful.
