Are you frustrated and thinking," I should be able to lose weight on my own, and yet I'm not."? So many of my clients have said to me at the beginning, "You know, Clarenda, I swear I could write a book. I know so much I know what to do, and yet maybe I lose some weight and maybe drop some sizes. But then it slowly creeps back on." Often they're beating themself up or they're feeling really disappointed in themselves or in the process. Usually when we talk a little bit more, we realize they have been relying on willpower, which you've heard me talk about before, is finite. And so they keep doing those things and it leads to exhaustion and just frustration, and "I can't do this anymore. This is too hard." So without the skillset that you can learn and the tools and the mindset work around that and being able to allow urges and not give into them because you're going to have those urges. We have a primitive part of our brain, which is like the toddler part who wants what it wants, when it wants it, and it doesn't mind throwing a temper tantrum until you get exhausted and frustrated and finally give in. So you can learn how to manage all of that so you can gain freedom around food. That primitive part of the brain is just doing its job, what it was designed to do, and we can hear it and allow it, and still do what the smart part of our brain knows to do and follow through, and that's when you get peace and feeling of freedom and in control of what you choose to do. It's quite interesting and amazing to see the progress that clients make from day one to day 30, say. And let's face it, we really don't need more information. We can Google anything for free, but then there's the job of deciphering, sorting and sifting through it and trying to find out which is the healthiest option and is this really scientific-valid? And will this be lasting results or just a quick fix? And I know life is too busy. I know you have another job to do, and this is the role that I play. I've done the work for you, I've worked through it all, and now I created that 12 week Feel Light Mind & Body course that you have heard me talk about, and I will continue to share because it is my passion. It lights me up to see the ladies getting the results and the freedom and having that be able to happen with ease. So yes, you'll always be learning new things and there's information in my course that people have never had before, but that is not the main ingredient, in my mind, and what the clients have been telling me is it's the implementation, it's having the coaching support, having someone who can help you through the obstacles and the hiccups that you might have and believing along with you as they work through the process with you. That's what's going to give you that empowerment, that drive, because you will get results. There's no way around it. It's just a matter of when, and you get to decide that each and every choice, each and every day as you go along. Here's a tip for you. While you're in the application process, you need someone who is well equipped and confident that they know they can help you get through anything and get you to the result that you want. The extensive coaching, training, and experience that I have, along with my outlook that I really notice when my members adapt that of coming from a compassionate and loving place instead of a self-critical and judgmental place, it just makes even our community so enjoyable, so supportive, so helpful. As much as I'm passionate about this and as much as I believe in my ability to help you, I want to share what Kim Henry has shared in a testimonial, and I am going to read it. I have it here. She says, "Game changer. I have participated in so many weight loss programs, I have lost count. At one time, I did lose weight and went on to being a leader in one of these programs. Do I sometimes revert back to the old thinking? Yes, but I now have the tools to help me work through them and not dwell on them. I've lost 18 pounds and have 12 pounds to go. I know I've got this, and you can too. This program is more than just losing weight. It is a total mind shift. This time, my weight in mind and body will be gone for a lifetime. If you are on the fence, just do it. You will not regret it. It's worth every penny." And wow. When she sent that to me, it never gets old for me. I still had tears in my eyes because I know the joy that has shifted in her life. Does she still have stressors in her life? Absolutely. But now she's aware of how she can think about those and how she can move through all of the discomfort in life in any area and still be okay and still continue to focus on her goals. Instead of just watching other people get results and listening to testimonials like Kim and going, "Wow, way to go. Good for you." You know, it's time for you. You deserve this time as well. And it's just a matter of a little bit of time and energy and investment and the results, the return on your investment will be phenomenal.
