When I was a child, I used to love Cheese Trix, especially the ones with the rounded balls, coloured red. It had a sprinkling of white sugar, which gave it that added sweetness, and of course, when you eat it, not only does your tongue get red, but your lips (ooh, lipstick 😊). Little did I know then that this processed food was likely the product of ‘red dye No. 3.’ But, you live and learn.

So, in this episode, I will discuss the main reason for the ban, its effects on the body, foods you can find it in and how to avoid it.
