When someone says, "Meet them where they are," it may sound mature to some, but I view it differently. To me, it suggests taking a back seat and remaining quiet, lowering your expectations, shrinking your standards, ignoring red flags, accepting less effort, and staying comfortable in a situation that isn’t growing.
