When you start letting things slide in a relationship, that’s often when he stops showing up as a man — as a gentleman—because now you’re simply going along with everything. It’s important to maintain your standards so he can hold himself to them as well. I believe many relationships begin to break down when we start allowing things we once wouldn’t accept, and over time, that can lead to a loss of respect.
