I'm only starting to run and someone recommended this podcast, listened to 4 episodes and I love it but what are your best tips to start running? I'm 40 physically v well, 5ft11 and 70kg so ok weight and want to be a runner....where should I begin?

I ran my first 10k yesterday at the KC marathon. I used the 10k training plan in NRC. The race went awesome! Your last episode on running your best race was so helpful! All the advice including coach Tammie's suggestion of asking myself, can I get a little more uncomfortable right now, helped me feel so mentally prepared and I had so much fun. I also beat my goal time by 27 seconds, which was 5 minutes faster than I've ever run it. Thank you for the training in Nike Run Club, and for the wisdom via your podcast! -Megan Sneed

wow I now see I am repeating myself but this was fantastic! It was on my easy run today and helped me relax- and the more I relaxed the faster I ran. (Or maybe I was running with the wind behind me instead of in front of me). But thank you and Tammy for inspiring me to see myself as enough while I try to be faster 🤩
