Welcome back to the podcast. If you are new here, I'm Rae, I'm a somatic coach and breathwork facilitator, and if you aren't new here, welcome back. I'm so glad that you're tuning in for today's episode. So for today's episode, I wanted to speak with you all about transitioning into this new season of spring. So the spring equinox is tomorrow, march 20th, and although I'm recording this a week before, I will be in San Diego when this, a week before, I will be in San Diego when this episode is live and I'll be there for a advanced breathwork facilitator training and energy training. So I'm sure I'll be setting some pretty powerful intentions with the spring equinox happening while I'm there and we'll see how this retreat serves me. I'm excited for it. So this spring season is all about allowing yourself to clear out the old energy of being in that winter cocoon, which is so needed Winter is a much slower, softer time and allowing yourself to step into something new. So spring is a time of change. It's a time of growth and expansion, and these changes change in general can be challenging and it can bring up some stuff because it's unsettling. When there's change, we don't necessarily know what's happening next. It can elicit some fears, some worries, some anxiety, and so it's really important to also feel safe and supported when you're going through different transitions and different seasons, transitions and different seasons. So wherever you fall on the scale of, maybe you're still kind of like holding on to something tightly from the winter season or the past few months, or maybe you're, you know, feeling ready to let it all go and kind of move in a new direction. So wherever you fall on that scale, maybe you're right in the middle, is exactly right, and that's what we're going to be working with for today's episode, so I'm going to be chatting with you about all of these things. I'm really excited to bring you today's topic and for front desk items, check out the show notes for any information about the retreat that is coming in October, and there is one event that I am also hosting this month, so check out the show notes for any information on those opportunities.

Speaker 1:

So for me personally, anytime there is a change in season, I really look at it as an opportunity to look back and reflect and also an opportunity to pivot or change anything that might be needed for me. So when I look back at the past few months, there has been a lot of change already and there has been some settling too. I feel these past few months I've definitely felt more grounded, which feels really good, and settled into what I do. I also, in the past few months, have started a new job, a new opportunity, so that might be something I'll share with you about soon, but that's definitely been. You know, when I'm looking back at the past few months, that's been a change. I also received so much from the trip that I went on to Costa Rica and I think that I'm still like riding the high from that trip. No joke, I really feel like that trip was just so moving for me, it was so powerful, I don't know. So I'm still integrating from that trip.

Speaker 1:

But when I look at the past season that I've experienced, those are the two big things that stand out for me. And if I were to release or let go of anything personally for myself it would probably be just the noise, like the doubts, the what-ifs, other people's projections, literally anything that's in my energy field that isn't serving my highest good or my highest alignment. That is what I will be releasing when I do my practices and when I go on this retreat next week. That is pretty much my intention. So I'm just realizing now actually that this retreat is happening during the spring equinox and during the season. I didn't actually piece that together until right now while I'm recording. So that's kind of cool. So I'm excited to, you know, receive that support and, yeah, really see what comes up for me and how it can serve me. But I will, yeah, that's stuff that I will definitely be letting go and releasing while I'm there.

Speaker 1:

And if I were to call something in right now, allow something to grow or bloom or expand. I would say you know something that you all know about if you listen to the podcast. But aligned retreat signups, that's something that definitely feels good for me. I really want to bring like a very incredible group of people together and just watching it form and seeing who's interested and who might come. It's looking so cool, like it's going gonna be amazing. So I'm calling in aligned retreat signups and I would love to also plan another fun trip with my husband and we have a few friends that we like to travel with sometimes, so that might be happening this spring season.

Speaker 1:

So, if that does, calling in just like fun and adventure and love and joy and I I kind of struggle with a little bit when it comes to being a very specific manifester. I, really, when I about and probably you can hear me even talking about it now I talk about more of like how I want to feel or like the energy of what I want to call in. I'm not like I want to do, I want this specific thing. I want like a yellow bike or something like that. Like it's not really how it goes for me, because I think it's really about how I'm feeling and I really just want to be in a high vibration and be aligned and really be, yeah, like aligned with what I'm calling in. So, to summarize, I would say if I'm calling anything, it would be aligned retreat signups and all of those aspects of fun and love and travel and hanging out with my friends and my husband and all those fun things.

Speaker 1:

So for you, I would ask, I would invite you to ask yourself how has this past season been for you? It's water season this past season, according to five element theory, and that is a very introspective time. So how has this past season according to five element theory, and that is a very introspective time. So how has this past season been for you? What's something that you're looking to release or let go of right now and what's something new that you're feeling called to invite in? And as we transition into this new season and we look back at the winter, the winter is like a nice warm cocoon. It's needed for us right, like it's needed for us to take some time to recharge the batteries.

Speaker 1:

It's a slower energy, it's definitely more internal and as we move into the spring, you can shake out, you can clear out any of that winter energy in so many different ways so that could look like physically. So that might look like physically clearing out your space, so decluttering, giving things away, cleaning out your spaces. And I'll also mention that sometimes this feeling of spring cleaning, it can take some time to get to that place where you're like, okay, now I'm ready. Like I don't switch out my clothes until May, usually like beginning of May, so I keep my winter and my summer clothes separate and then I'll switch them out, them out, and every time I make a switch I clear out anything that either on either end that I'm not going to wear or I don't like anymore. So a lot of. I guess I'm talking about clothes specifically here. But you could be cleaning out and you know, clearing out your spaces in any way. But the act of physically clearing out your space can be supportive for transitioning into this new season Energetically.

Speaker 1:

You can also do things like somatic shaking and movement, breath work, really, really supportive for clearing out and keeping your energy clear. And you can also use breath work and journaling and those energetic practices to help you with your mindset, so really allowing your mind to rest so that you can kind of clear out any of those thoughts that are no longer serving you, anything that is weighing on you. You can lean into those energetic practices as well to support you with your mindset. So this transition is really an opportunity for you to reset, an opportunity for you to land exactly where you are and an opportunity for you to grow. So the season of spring, or wood season, in five element theory, is all about expansion. So that can look like having new ideas, having new energy. It's all about growth. So there is a moving forward feeling to it and you can even kind of see it obviously in nature we have sprouts that might be popping up through the soil and things are beginning to grow as the season continues.

Speaker 1:

It's also a season of abundance in all different ways. You know, when you have that moving forward energy, when you have those new ideas and new energy and expansion and growth, abundance makes sense that it would be paired with that energy. And it's also a time of expression. So that could look like creative expression, self-expression, really allowing your voice and your needs and yourself to be heard. So that's another flavor of this season and if you are looking to align with the different aspects of wood season so expansion, growth, abundance, expression you can make it into a ritual so you can give yourself the time and space and see what you need and see what's here for you now, and you can make it into a ritual. You can do a little bit of breath work, meditation, journaling, cacao, even. You can set your intention for what you're looking to call in, what you're looking to grow. You can answer those few questions that I mentioned in the beginning of the episode and, as you're doing the ritual, you can really think about what you need right now and what would be supportive for you in this season of where you are All right. So that is what we have for today's episode.

Speaker 1:

So a quick recap. We talked about moving through seasons of change. We talked about the different elements of wood season and really listening to your body and moving at your pace, allowing yourself to make setting your spring intention a bit of a ritual if that feels good for you.
