SPEAKER_00Hey, how's your new year going? And no, that is not a rhetorical question. I am very curious to know how the first couple of weeks in this year been treating you. Because I know that a lot of you all are saying, you know, this is going to be your year. And I am fully cheering you on. And I know that there are some who are thinking about all of their goals. They're having some time to reflect. They may be fasting. They may just be sitting still. They may be just in a space of, I still don't know what the heck I'm doing. And can I tell you that that's okay? Can I tell you that just because we have entered into a new year, you don't have to feel like you have everything together. You don't have to feel like that everyone is running on the treadmill, and now you need to hop on that bandwagon as well. For some of you all, this is truly a season of rest. For some of you, this is a season of recognizing who exactly you are, all of the things that have transpired in your life. And I know for me, although I'm in a new year, I reset when I need to. So I don't wait for the clock to strike and uh all of the fireworks to go off. There may be a time in the middle of a year when I feel like, you know what, I need to reset. And so for me, that is just how I operate. I know that I may be different, but I need you to realize that just because everybody else is on this new year, new you type of your new year starts whenever you feel like it. And then I'm also realizing that during this time of just sitting still a little bit, I've taken a break from social media where a lot of you know individuals are really ramping up. And I'm taking this season just as it is. During the winter months, things are lying dormant, things are working underneath the soil. And so, although you may not see me as much, just know I'm working. Just know that this little laptop over here is plugging away that I am preparing not just things for myself, but I'm working behind the scenes for newness for you as well, making sure that when I'm sharing on this podcast that it's everything that I think that you need. So I'm taking this time during these winter months to just get myself together as well. But it leads me right into what this episode is about, where when you feel like things are just not working the way that you want them to, you begin to see a glimmer of hope. You begin to see things unfolding, you begin to start feeling like things are finally starting to make sense. And that is what we are going to dive into today. Because for some of you all, you thought that everything wasn't working out the way that it was supposed to. And I'm raising my hand as well because I'm in this boat. That you begin to see how, again, it's all taking form. And it's not all at once. No, you're not seeing the fireworks go off, but they are happening quietly. And if you're paying attention, you're beginning to see bits and pieces of this puzzle where at first you just saw a blank slate, and now you're seeing pieces that are beginning to come together, things that are beginning to form. And you don't, again, suddenly have all of the answers. You just have enough clarity to stop panicking. And that's the moment I want to talk about today because there's a season we don't name enough, the space between confusion and confirmation. See, this space is where life hasn't fully explained itself yet, but your spirit starts to recognize the pattern. I know for me, I'm starting to sleep better because things are starting to fall into place. And I know that you all are feeling it as well. So this episode isn't about arrival, but it is about recognition. See, there are certain kinds of pains that come from believing you did everything right and still watching things fall apart. Whew. I'm gonna stay focused in this episode, and I'm not going to get emotional because just that piece right there, saying that I'm out loud for me touches me in a different way. When you've prayed, when you've planned, when you've prepared, and yet here you are. It could be a layoff, paused, waiting, rebuilding, questioning your timing, your decisions, and sometimes if you're being honest, your discernment. But here's what I've been realizing lately. What I thought was God being silent was actually Him being strategic. Because now looking back, I can see where protection showed up disguised as delay. And I can see how certain doors closing kept me from environments that would have cost me more than I realized at the time. See, I can see how I was being slowed down long enough to hear myself again. And clarity didn't come as a solution, it came as peace. And that's how you know you're in an unfolding season. I know, I know, unfolding feels uncomfortable sometimes because it's it's almost like the folding chair. Like it goes from just being open and available to being closed off. And most of the time when you see a folding chair, where is it? In a closet somewhere, in a dark space somewhere, somewhere where no one is looking for it until it's needed the next time. So that unfolding feels uncomfortable because you don't have the full picture yet, where you're tempted to rush clarity, where you want proof before trust, but unfolding requires presence, not pressure. So you don't force a flower to bloom. You can't. What will happen if you try to force a flower to bloom? You'll end up damaging the petals that are actually trying to open during its allotted time, the time that it's supposed to open, the time that it has gotten enough sunlight, the time when it has gotten enough water, the time when the soil is right, when the environment is right, is when that flower bloom. So remember when I said at the top of this episode is for me, I'm taking winter season seriously. Where winter season typically is slower, where you're not doing a whole bunch of things where people can see you, but you are working where the things are happening underneath the soil, just like when plants go dormant and then they bloom in the spring. Same thing happens. Why do you think we have seasons? But again, unfolding it requires your presence, and so you don't have to rush a wound to heal, and you don't have to hurry understanding because it arrives when you're ready to hold it. So I'm going to give you some actionable steps on how you can identify what is making sense for you right now. Are you ready? You have your pen and paper, or you want to come back and listen to this message? Either way, I'm thankful. But we we take action over here. We're not just, as the word says, we're not just hearers of the word, we are doers. So the very first thing that I need you to do is identify what is making sense right now. So write down three things that are clearer today than they were six months ago. Now, no, not what has been fixed, what's clear. And I need you to ask yourself, what do I understand now that I didn't then? Where did I gain wisdom instead of answers? Because clarity often comes in insight and not outcomes. Got it? Second step. Release the need for full explanation. I know some of you all are praying, praying, praying, praying, praying, just tired of praying. You done fell asleep praying, you done woke up praying, you forgot what you was praying about. I need you to realize that you're not going to hear it all. You're not going to get it all right now. So say this out loud. I do not need the full picture to move forward. And then I need you to ask yourself, what's the next step, not the full plan? Because unfolding happens in increments and not leaps. That's just like if you have steps in your home right now, and you say you're at the top and you need to get to the bottom. Are you going to jump down all of the steps? Absolutely not. Or if you're at the bottom and need to get to the top, are you, do you have the ability to leap from the bottom to the top? No. You go one step at a time. And so I need us to get to a space where we are not just trying to leap past things, where we take the time, we take the necessary steps in order to get everything it is that we're supposed to get. Because remember, I've shared this before. The tests that you do not pass, you will have to take them again. And so we are not in a season where we are going to just keep taking the same test over and over and over again. No, we are going to review the notes. We are going to take step by step. And if we need to stop on one step to review exactly and assess where we are before we move to the next one, that's what we're doing. Incremental. Step number three, we are stabilizing before we strategize. Some of y'all just need to sit still. But before setting all of these big goals that we have, again, stabilize these three areas. Number one, your energy. Am I rested or depleted? Number two, your finances. Do I know my real numbers? Number three, emotions. Am I responding or reacting? Because you don't build vision on exhaustion. We're showing up different this year, y'all. Step number four. Name what this season is teaching you. Not what it took from you, what it taught you. So I need you to finish this sentence in your journal. This season taught me how to blank. And that lesson is the bridge to your next level. Number five, stop interpreting delay as denial. It's not. Delays don't mean you were wrong, they often mean timing needed maturity. So I need you to ask yourself, who was I becoming while I was waiting? What would have broken if I got it earlier? Sometimes delay is grace. So as we reframe this season, because you're not behind, you're not late, you're not recovering, guess what you are? You are recalibrating. And recalibration is what makes longevity possible. So here's the deal. If you're in a season where things are starting to make sense, but not fully, I want you to hear me and hear me clearly. You don't need to rush the unfolding. You're not missing anything. You're becoming someone who can sustain what's coming. And when it finally comes together, you'll realize nothing was wasted. Not the pause, not the pain, not the waiting, just the unfolding. And so tonight I need you to take 10 minutes, sit with yourself, ask what is unfolding for me right now. And then here's the the biggest step that most people forget. And then listen without rushing the answer.
