From the NFL Draft to training war veterans: A conversation with Adaptive Training Foundation Founder, David Vobora
This week, Adaptive Training Foundation Founder/CEO, David Vobora joins Kathrine for a compelling conversation about identity, athleticism, and the power of community.
In January of 2014, David Vobora, a 5-year veteran of the NFL, met US Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills, a quadruple amputee. David opened up his personal gym to Travis, offering his training expertise.
Their work inspired David to help others with life-changing injuries transition from rehab to adaptive sports.
Recognizing a gap, he founded the Adaptive Training Foundation (ATF) to bridge this need. By September 2014, ATF became a 501(c)3, providing free services to adaptive athletes and relying on donations to empower lives through movement.
