Ready to hit the reset button on your health? After celebrating my 150th podcast episode milestone, I'm diving deep into my transformative experience with a three-day nutritionally supported fast. This isn't your typical starvation cleanse – it's a science-backed approach that delivered surprising benefits beyond just weight loss.

I walk you through the fascinating day-by-day breakdown of what happens when your body transitions from using stored carbs to burning fat for fuel. Day one brings the initial adjustment period, where your body questions this new approach. By day two, ketosis kicks in, creating a cleaner energy source while autophagy – your body's natural cellular cleaning process – begins rejuvenating your systems from within. The final day brings deep fat burning and gives your digestive system a well-deserved break, optimizing future nutrient absorption.

The results? Four pounds and five inches lost, but more importantly – renewed energy, mental clarity, and that empowering feeling of accomplishing something meaningful for your health. Throughout this process, I maintained proper nutrition with protein intake (about 100g daily) through collagen and whey supplements, along with bone broth – making this a sustainable approach rather than a punishing ordeal.

Feeling inspired by my results, I've created the "3 Plus 30" program combining this initial three-day reset with a comprehensive 30-day follow-up focused on gut healing, strategic movement, targeted supplements, and supportive coaching. If you're feeling stuck, bloated, or just not yourself, I'd love to chat about whether this approach might work for you. Schedule your free consultation at spandexandwine.com, and let's start your journey toward feeling clean, clear, and completely refreshed. Groups are forming now!

Speaker 1:

I am anxious to share my three day reset experience with you, but I didn't want to skip over. A huge thank you to all of you. If you follow me, you saw that I published my 150th episode just a few days ago and I am super proud that I hit 10,000 downloads. But this milestone feels bigger to me, I guess, since most podcasts don't make it past three episodes. I was pretty darn pleased. I mean, as you know, consistency is the key to pretty much everything. There were weeks I didn't want to do it. I did miss a time or two. There were times I had last minute cancellations and I had to pivot. I didn't know what the heck I was going to do, and there were times when I had so many edits I wasn't sure if I was going to get it done in time, and there were times that I had everything done and then I forgot to hit the publish button. I think that's happened a couple of times. So it hasn't been perfect. In fact, it's been very messy at times, but I stuck with it and I appreciate you sticking with me. So thank you so much and thank you for thank you for support. Thank you for listening, thank you for sharing. Thank for your support. Thank you for listening. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for following. Thank you for the five-star reviews, just all the things. I'm still having a great time and it's growing. It's a year and a half now and I know it's just going to be even better when I hit that two-year mark. They say that every new business give it two years before you start making any money, so I'm looking forward to that.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so here we go. I finished my three-day nutritionally supported fast using the Plexus supplements, and I do feel amazing. I didn't expect this kind of energy although I've seen that with the products that I've taken so far and also just like some mental clarity and focus, and I feel like even my skin is looking better. There were a few tough moments, I am not going to lie, but all in all, it was well worth it, and I wanted to walk you through what's actually happening during these three days, because it's not just about dropping a few pounds so that I did start losing some fluff and inches. It's just some really cool science behind it.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so day one is basically your body saying wait, what are we doing here? It's the transition phase and I wasn't starving, but I did have a lot of grumbling and I'm sure my body was like okay, where's my normal food? Where's your program? You're used to eating this and that, but what's happening behind the scenes is your body starts using up stored carbs called glycogen, which gives us quick energy. So once those start to run low, your body's like all right, we'll use a backup plan, and that's when it starts turning to fat for fuel and that's where the magic starts. So then my body was like okay, I think she's serious. So day two is when things really start to shift, and this is when fat burning mode comes in, or ketosis. So all of that starts to kick in and your body starts creating ketones, which are a cleaner energy source than sugar.

Speaker 1:

And I did feel a little sharper, although that declined a little bit on the third day, and I was just kind of checking things off my to-do list. I felt like I was just in control and doing great. And what's happening behind the curtain? There is a process called autography. It's a fancy word, but it basically means your body is cleaning out the junk so old cells, damaged parts and it's replacing them with good stuff, so like a cellular spring cleaning, if you will.

Speaker 1:

And then onto the home stretch. I woke up day three and I felt like I had pretty good energy and I didn't have a ton of cravings and I was feeling really proud of myself. As the day went on, I got it was a little bit harder I'm not going to lie again and I was wondering why I chose to end the three days on a Friday. So if I do this again, I will never. I know I'm going to do it again, but I'll never do it and it on a Friday, because those are usually the days that we eat out at our favorite spot and we go to cornhole and I did go, but I sat out from playing so I could just watch. I didn't want my energy to drop. I didn't feel like that was fair to my partner, so I opted just to not play. So I opted just to not play. And Dave was very nice. He made himself dinner here and we didn't go out to eat. So that would have been super hard if I had to watch him and watch everyone else and the happy hour specials, but anyway.

Speaker 1:

So day three is when the deep fat burning is in full swing and your body's just humming along. Your gut is getting a well-deserved break, which means your digestion and your nutrient absorption is going forward. So by the end of three days, it wasn't just about the weight loss. It's about how much better I feel and a clearer mind, stronger willpower, healthier insides and I think just that sense of accomplishment. It's empowering me to do something like this. You're like, yeah, look at me, I did this, I made it happen. So it's like I just hit a reset button and my body's thanking me. I did lose weight. I lost four pounds and five and a quarter inches and I've kept it off for these past few days. I mean, obviously it hasn't been that long since I stopped, but I'm continuing with mindful eating and focusing on my gut health. The science is so cool behind all of it, and you all know how I feel about getting my protein in. I was able to still get around a hundred grams daily with collagen and whey. I mean. Again, it's a nutritionally supported reset. So I did ingest something all day long. I wasn't just sitting there and just drinking water and bone broth. I did have my share of bone broth, though.

Speaker 1:

So if you've been feeling a little stuck, bloated, blah just not yourself this might be just what your body's craving. I wanted to try this for myself before recommending it to others. I feel clean, for lack of a better word. I do feel like I gave my entire body a huge hug and permission to start over, and I'm keeping the momentum going, and I want to help you do the same, and that's why I've started to do the 3 Plus 30 program. So it's going to be the three days of nutritionally supported fast. You're going to kickstart fat burning, reset cravings, spark cellular renewal, boost your energy and mental clarity, and then the following 30 days after that it'll be a focus on gut healing, foods, movement that makes you feel strong, targeted supplements, group support and coaching calls, motivation, fun and real life tips to feel your absolute best. This isn't a quick fix. Real life tips to feel your absolute best. This isn't a quick fix. I know I said I did the three days, but there's more than just the three days. It is a total vibe shift and I will be with you the entire way.

Speaker 1:

So, if you are ready to reset, rebuild excuse me, rebuild and feel like you again, before you jump in, I want to talk to you. I want to make sure that it's something that fits you and your lifestyle. So I'm offering a free consultation call to anyone that wants to chat with me over the next few weeks, because I'm going to start three different groups. I'll start one on April 28th, one on May 5th and another on May 12th. If I have enough interest, I'll do a fourth one as well. Um, and I feel like starting on Mondays are the way to go. If your schedule is a little bit different. Again, that's what that call will be helpful. We can figure that out. So if you want to get on the list, you can go to spandexandwinecom, click the button to schedule time with me. It'll just be like a 15 to 30 minute consultation.

Speaker 1:

I want you to feel as good as I feel, and I did this with a friend Thanks, kimberly and it was so very helpful. I knew that she was going through everything that I was going through, and I was able to text her and she texted me, so it was really nice to have that support. So I do recommend that you have a friend join you as well. I do think it's helpful if we have one-on-one calls, though, because I want to talk to you specifically to see what you are going through, what you're trying to accomplish, and while it might be very similar to your friend, it could be very different as well, and there might be things that you don't want to share, and that's fine. So let's get you scheduled and pick a date and let's make this happen.

Speaker 1:

I know that you guys are going to feel so fantastic when it's all over and actually, like the three days. That's the worst part, right, the moving forward. I say 30 days, but really, if you can take it to six months a year, just make it a habit of everything that you do, think of it as a lifestyle shift and change moving forward. That's when you're going to see the real magic, okay. So let's talk, let's get that consultation scheduled so you can feel your very best and just live your best life. I know that's so cliche, but that's what I feel like I am doing right now and I want you along with me. And again, thank you so much for listening. Thank you for following, thanks for sharing everything that you do to help support this podcast. It really means the world to me. Thank you for listening.
