This might mean experimenting with an elimination diet to identify what's causing bloating or fatigue, or focusing on gut health as the foundation of your wellness. Hey friends, welcome back to the show. Today's episode is packed with three juicy segments that I know you're going to love. First, we're tackling the confusion that so many of us feel when it comes to exercise and diet, because, let's be honest, the internet can be a lot. Then I've got something super fun to share spandex and wine merchandise, and if you haven't seen it yet, you're in for a treat. And then, finally, I've been dreaming this up for a while and it's finally here. So stay tuned to hear about my new membership. I am beyond excited to tell you all about it. So let's dive in. Hello and welcome to the Spandex and Wine podcast. I'm your host, robin Hackney, and I'm so happy that you're here.

All right, so let's talk about health and fitness and confusion. How many times have you gone online and you've seen an influencer doing something wild and thought, okay, I guess I need to try that, and maybe you even bought the equipment. You started the program and then you saw someone else doing something totally different and now you're questioning everything. It is overwhelming and the truth is it does not have to be that complicated. Here's what I recommend. Okay, ready, ready for this. You might get a piece of paper. Just start, seriously, start small. So maybe you're going to just pick a muscle group a day. Maybe on Monday you'll do 30 seconds of bicep curls followed by 30 seconds of rest, and you're going to repeat that three times. Just start with three sets. You guys, that's three minutes. And then Tuesday maybe you're going to do chest press with the same 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off, and then just do that throughout the week. So, keep it simple and focus on just what you can accomplish in that day, starting slow and, most importantly, make it work for you and make it be fun. You guys, I get that exercise can feel daunting, and when you're just starting, for sure, but action creates motivation. A lot of people think it's the other way around I'm just not motivated, I need to get motivated and then I'll start. Nope, it is when you start, motivation will follow, you'll begin to feel more energy, you'll see changes and the momentum will build, promise you. I promise you trust me on this.

And as far as nutrition, oh gosh, there are so many opinions out there. You'll hear plant-based, you'll hear carnivore, you'll hear everything in between, and you're gonna hear that on the podcast. Here too. I'm not saying that one is better than the other. I'm not saying that there's a cookie cutter plan, because there is not. I don't push one approach. I encourage listening to your body, and I know when you hear that you can be like okay, what does that really mean? It might mean that you need to try an elimination diet so you can figure out what's causing the bloating or the fatigue. And you know how I feel about gut health. If you don't, you haven't been listening. It is the foundation.
