How To Reset After Cookies, Wine, And Chaos
Holidays have a way of turning the kitchen into a cookie minefield and routines into wishful thinking. We get it—and we’re not here to guilt you into a celery cleanse. We’re sharing a path back to steady energy, clearer choices, and real momentum so January doesn’t feel like a crash diet in disguise.
We unpack why resolutions tend to fail by day two and show how simple systems—daily reminders, clear workouts, weekly progressions, and real accountability—beat extreme plans every time. You’ll hear how to set a personal goal that fits your life, dial in cleaner eating without perfection, drink more water, cut back on sugar and alcohol at your pace, and build consistent movement that doesn’t demand all your free time. We also lay out two routes: the 30-day refresh for a gentle reset that meets you where you are, and the total reset for those who want gut support plus a three-day, nutritionally supported fast designed to reduce bloating and inflammation without the crash.
If you’re feeling bloated, tired, or off track, this conversation is your permission slip to enjoy the season and still choose a supported plan. We talk pricing, timing, and how to start, but the heart of it is simple: you don’t need a “new you,” just the right structure and a cheerleader who won’t disappear after the sale. Expect practical tips, honest encouragement, and a plan that turns progress over perfection into daily action.
Ready to feel supported instead of shamed? Follow the show, share this with a friend who’s living on holiday snacks, and message us to claim your spot. Let’s make January steady, sane, and stronger—together.
Thanks so much for listening!

Hello and welcome to the Spandex and Wine Podcast. I'm your host, Robin Hackney, and I'm so happy that you're here. This podcast is a place for conversations about balancing a healthy lifestyle and being happy. More specifically, happy hour. Together we'll explore all things wellness and wine. I hope you learn a little, laugh a lot, and along the way, know you're not alone on this balanced wellness journey. Ready to jump in? Pour something in your glass that makes you happy because it's time for Spandex and Wine. Hey friends, welcome back to the Spandex and Wine Podcast. If you are listening to this while standing in your kitchen surrounded by half-eaten Christmas cookies and maybe a random cheese board that has somehow become a food group, and probably a glass of wine that definitely wasn't supposed to be refilled again, you are welcome here. You're among your people. We are officially in that weird stretch of December where time means nothing. Our routines are hanging on by a thread, and we're all simultaneously saying, I'll start fresh in January, while also saying, it's fine, I'll just have one more. And today I want to talk about that, but in a way that doesn't make you feel guilty or broken or like you need to live on celery juice to redeem yourself. And here's what I know to be true: the holidays are magical. And they also are a complete gut health crime scene. There's more sugar, there's more alcohol, later nights, less movement, and a lot of saying, I'll deal with this later. I'll start over in January. And I do love this season. I love the food, I love the drinks, I love the parties, the gathering. You guys know I'm not anti-fun, but I also know that by the time January rolls around, most people feel bloated and tired and sluggish and off track and slightly betrayed by their um stretchy pants. I know I have been recently. And that's usually when New Year's resolutions show up, like people saying, I'll cut everything out, I'm working out every day, I'm never gonna drink again, I'm changing my entire personality by January 3rd. And I know I've shared this before that most of these resolutions don't make it past the end of the month. In fact, day two is when most people give up. And not because people are lazy, not because you lack discipline, but because extreme plans don't work in real life. And you guys know that I like a plan that you can incorporate into a healthy lifestyle. And what that means and what does work is structure and accountability and simple systems and someone reminding you that it's progress over perfection. And that's exactly why I created the 30-day refresh. You may have seen my email this past week on Wednesday when I send it out. Um, and if you're not on that list, please let me know. You can reach out to me at infospandexandwine.com via email, or you can text me at 913-392-2877. But this is going to be not a punishment for December and not a detoxed from your life moment, but a reset that fits real humans and real schedules and real goals. So the 30-day refresh is for anyone, like truly anyone, regardless of where you're starting. We are going to set your own goal. We'll focus on eating cleaner. That doesn't mean it has to be perfect, drinking more water, cutting back on sugar and alcohol, and that may be cutting it completely out. Just depends on your personal goals. And just really getting consistent with movement. And from me, you'll receive daily text messages to keep you focused. You'll get written workouts. I'm going to give you videos too, so you know what those written workouts and those exercises are. Um, it won't be a whole workout video, but I will make sure that you know what the exercises are, exercises are. Um, there'll be a weekly progression, so you're not just guessing. There's gonna be weekly check-ins and real accountability from me, not just automated messages disappearing into the void. There are no in-person meetings. You can start anytime, and you don't have to do it perfectly to get results. This is support, not pressure. So, for those of you listening and thinking, I love that, but I want to go all in. So there is an option for you too. It is the total reset. So it's everything in the 30-day refresh plus focus gut support to kick things off strong. And with this option, you'll receive a 30-day supply of Plexus Triplex and the Plexus Reset, which is a three-day nutritionally supported fast. And before you panic, it's not starvation. It is designed to gently reset your system on a cellular level, support digestion, and reduce inflammation. How amazing does that feel? The average person loses around four pounds in those three days, and we're going to carry that momentum into the rest of the month. So I would assume you would lose even more than that. I don't want to guarantee anything. Every time that I've done the three-day reset, well, I've done it twice. The first time I lost four and a half pounds, the second time, four pounds. So I'm looking forward to seeing what I do this time. It is perfect for you. That second option, if you are feeling bloated and inflamed, if you want a clean slate physically, if you struggle with cravings, or if you just want January to feel different than every other year. I'm going to limit that one to 10 spots. So the first option, the 30-day refresh, unlimited spots. But that 30-day refresh plus the reset, I'm going to limit that to 10. And the deadline for that is December 31st because of, well, actually, it needs to be before that. You need to really get in, although you can start pretty much any time. So you can just reach out to me and we can get you going. And if you've listened to this podcast for any amount of time, you know this about me. I am a lifelong cheerleader. Apparently, the high school version of me didn't get the memo that we were supposed to stop cheering people on after graduation. Because this is still my favorite role. I don't want to yell at you. I don't want to shame you. I don't want to sell you something and disappear. I want to stand next to you and say, you can do this. You're not alone. Excuse me. Goodness gracious. All right, sorry about that. So that's what this challenge is. So here's your permission slip. Enjoy December. Enjoy the cookies. Enjoy the wine. Enjoy the people. You guys know that I'm going to do all of that. And when you're ready, I've got you in January. So the 30-day refresh is$97. Although, if you're an alumni and you've done one of my challenges before, reach out to me because I have a discount code for you. And then the second option, the 30-day refresh plus reset, that's only 10 spots open. That's$126 plus tax and shipping. So if you're thinking about it, reach out. We'll figure out which option is best for you because January doesn't have to need a new you. It just needs a supported one. So if this episode made you nod your head a little or you feel like you need more help, send me some a message and send it to a friend that is also living off of holiday snacks right now. As always, I am cheering you on and we will talk soon. Thanks so much for listening.
