Communication Meditation - Day 19 of 49
Day 19 of a 49 features a Communication Meditation. This 49 Day Meditation Series is based on the Art of Conscious Evolution Chakra deck by Kate Lemay. Today's theme is Communication in the Throat, Fifth Chakra or Vishuddha. Kate's 49 paintings each honor a different chakra, 7 each for the 7 main energy centers. We will be moving from root to crown, and back down again, alternating for 7 weeks. I hope you enjoy the journey and are inspired by the paintings, themes and whimsy of the incredible artist, Kate Lemay.

Welcome to your Day 19 Meditation. Today's theme is Communication. I'll be reading the description of Kate Le May's painting and chakra card, Communication.
The large circle in the center is you. The smaller circles around the large circle are others. The squiggly line is the interaction between the two. Communication is vibration mixing between two parts. Be conscious of what you emit and receive. The mantra for this painting and card is I consciously communicate.
Find a place where you can maintain a nice long spine. If you can, close your eyes. Bring your awareness to your breath. When we become aware of our breath, it too becomes more conscious. It's something that happens automatically for us, and we're not always aware of what a powerful tool it can be to be present.
Allow the breath to rise and to fall. Bring your awareness to your throat, your communication center. The color is ocean blue. This is where we express ourselves, where we find our voice. And communication can often feel very difficult and vulnerable, to share your truth, to express yourself. We don't always know how it's going to be received.
So when you think of that large circle, your bubble, then having to interact with those smaller bubbles outside of your own, it can bring up a lot of feelings, but the more you practice, let go of control of how others receive your communication. Practice openly communicating. The more that muscle can flex, the more you can be authentic to yourself by allowing yourself that freedom, that space, that room to make mistakes, to learn, to grow.
As you meditate on communication, you can whisper quietly, inwardly to yourself, I consciously communicate and when you hear the sound of the singing bowl, you will know your meditation is complete.
(PAUSE TO REFLECT)
Draw yourself back to the present moment. Draw your hands to your heart center, palms together, remembering that the one we most often communicate with is ourselves.
Namaste.
